I'm going to look at this in a positive way too.
If anything, it was the 'best' time (if there's such a thing) for her to get friday'ed - the fact that there was the GAM tour to fall back on - it gives the chance for Miki to 'apologise' and interact with her fans directly as well as seeing how much real impact there is (in terms of merchandising of concert goods, tickets etc.) rather than having to make wild guesses. And the fact that I heard cases where Miki fans were worried/undecided on the issue (of whether to keep supporting her) and after going to the GAM concerts, it made them confirm their stance (in a positive way).
I just listened to both the Fukuoka and Sapporo recordings and from what I hear, both Miki and Aya, as well as the fans were really enjoying the concerts and obviously Miki still had a lot of support up at Sapporo. The MC about them getting drunk really cracked me up. Hopefully both the management and Tsunku (if he still has any power) recognises the special chemistry between those two and keeps GAM alive. And considering how little effort they seem to be putting into Aya's new single...I hope GAM becomes permanent, not only for Miki, but for Aya's sake as well.
So hoping for all the best
