Tosho Daimos. It started my affinity for Super Robot shows. I wacthed it when I was 5 but the episode where Daimos was almost defeated and crushed by that two-headed mech still plays clearly in my mind. They played it again 6 years ago on local TV and I still watched it after I came home from univ.

The first anime I've ever watched was Spirited Away. Yes, I am a late bloomer and it was my dad who introduced me to the world of anime.

Tenchi Muyo! was the first anime series I watched by myself. The first anime movie I watched was Akira.

Wonderful Adventure of Nils (ニルスのふしぎな旅 / Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige) or Tao Tao.

I didn't know those series had anything to do with Japan though. So I didn't know they were anime.

The first anime where I heard Japanese language was Inu-Yasha in 2000.

Actually those two are my first shows too. Love Hina was the first show that I downloaded.

The first anime I watched as a kid? I don't think I can remember, especially since I wasn't aware that anything I saw might have been from Japan. Maybe Voltron or Tranzor Z if those are anime.

The first stuff that really caught my attention as anime were programs on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. I think Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha, and Outlaw Star were the main ones. Dragon Ball (Z) and some other stuff that aired regularly about 2-3 years ago may have been in there, too.

First one I saw was Guyver. It was the first time I had ever seen blood in a animated show. Blew my damn mind.
