Pokemon and Naruto, actually. It's pretty embarrassing to remember that time, I was quite the Narutard for months and refused to watch any other anime as I didn't believe they could be as good as Naruto. Then I started watching actual good anime, and realized Naruto is fairly bad in comparison.

i got hook into Super Robots reruns on our local TV.. i knew that they were called anime much, much later..
but the first anime that i've seen could possibly be Candy, Candy..

I think my first anime was Samurai Pizza Cats in elementary school. They played it on weekday mornings (I think at 6:30 AM?). I don't think I had any idea at the time that it was Japanese. I didn't watch much more anime (apart from some Dragonball Z) until much more recently.

First anime what I knew it was from Japan was Sailor moon.

Dragon Ball.
Althrough the super-decisive battles lasted 3 episodes of pure talking, it's one of the best animes ever.
