Not precisely... maggots that are used for therapeutic debridement of wounds (that is, removing dead infected flesh to promote healing) is of a specific species of fly that only eats dead tissue. This poor guy was eaten by god knows what species of maggot - they ate not only dead tissue but also living tissue. Remind me to always promptly band-aid my cuts when I'm in Hong Kong....
