They are probably re-grouping this year after the massive loss of 3 good players. They definetely need another high quality keeper to keep the competition spirit of Nono up. Then i hope they get 1 more defender and 1 attacker.

That is so wrong tho....
With this year not playing any futsal, their skill and expereince will be less than the other top teams (ie. TEAM dream, carezza, FANTASISTA, etc.)

I still think they should participate in this year's Sphere League.....unless the girls are having time conflict and super busy with their schedule...

I can understand that they're not playing this year's Sphere League. (It's to train the newcomers if they are any and maybe the current line up can improve on their game. ).

But I really hope they get another goal keeper. In the last game with carezza, Tsuji had to keep going because she was the only one despite her injury, I guess if she didn't, they'd probably would have had to forfeit the game. (but that's real sportsmanship!)

I guess it can't be helped. The games start only a couple days before Yossi's grad. Then there's the GAM tour and the H!P summer tour after that. And I think Rika and Tsuji have a musical around May too.

But the biggest concern I think has to be whether the league will continue to get TV support without them, and will it still be there when they're ready to return? H!P is a major draw for these games. The TV networks might think the sport isn't worth covering if there isn't a big enough audience without them involved. With Hello Morning getting cut, H!P can't afford to keep losing more PR time.

Bottom line, Gatas NEEDS more players if they want the team to continue playing, be it this season or next season. If they were to field the team only with the members they have now, they'd have some of the girls (like Nono, for example), being forced to play entire games, with their only breaks being time-outs and halftime. Combine THAT along with their schedules as H!P members, and physically the girls will soon just collapse out of sheer exhaustion.

IMO, they need a second goalie and AT LEAST 4-6 more field players. Remember that since they began playing as a team, all they've done is lose players. To my knowledge, this is the FIRST time that they're acutally looking to add new team members.

I think the teams in the old league are too good to play with now?

And why not kids? If it's not kids, they'd have to go find someone new totally, which would probably be around the Kids' ages anyway. If they could get the older members in H!P to play, they would've done that by now.

Yeah but you don't see weaker teams like shochiku or Nankatsu dropping off the sphere league. Of course Gatas may not win the cup anymore, but it's nice to see them competing with Carezza or Dream.

I understand that they were out this season because they had a long list of graduates, i just hope that the new league is just for 1 or 2 seasons and they will be back when they audition more players.

yeah i guess i shouldn't have reacted that way. But i'm not doubting the Kids age, just their capability. I've not seen them play other than the sports festival so it isn't fair for me to judge them now. Well let's see how the team plays.

I haven't been following them either. But they got some training since that sportfest. They even got to compete, yah?

And maybe they'll be back to Sphere League someday when they're ready. The team seems to be kinda lost now with all those members leaving.

I'm very glad to see the Gatas is still running...after all the hard work they've put in the last few years, I'll to see them disbanding...

And at least we'll get to see Miki and Yossi together after yossi graduates.

Right now I'm less concerned about what league they play in, butt AM concerned with how the "smaller" players (i.e. Momo, Captain, and Nakajima-chan) will do playing against players that are older/taller/more experienced/more physical players than them.

Oh man, this is wack, I dont think they are physically and mentallyready yet, but who knows.

Maybe one half is started with kids, and the other half played by the old veterans, sounds not bad:D
