Iono.. how many Gatas FC Concerts in Hawaii were there? It stopped dling over night, so i don't know yet. -____-

EDIT: I don't think that was the cancelled one. The narrator said Nisenrokunen.... So I'm guessing it's 2006.
EDIT 2: Ya, it's from 2006. Country Musume is still a 3nin group and Tsuji's in here. I'm guessing it's right after Konkon's grad because Rika's hair's back to black.
EDIT 3: It's Korenaga's birthday during this concert so this took place in November.

It's not a concert. It shows fanclub activities, futsal practice sessions, and highlights from some games they played in Hawaii.

I actually liked some of the matches in this DVD. (what am I saying, I haven't even watched the 'proper' games yet!)

highlights
-Shibata doing the moves from 'Eros' during the PK ^_^
-Miki (actually both, I think) playing around with Tsuji's ribbon
-Miki scoring (this was a pretty cool play with Yossie, IMO.)
-Miki trippping over the goalie, with another player tripping over her. (it must have been bad, because she didn't play for the rest of the match.)

... yes, I am Miki-biased.

You're talking about the "zawa" kanji right?
If I remember correctly, they usually use that kanji in her last name in newspapers and stuff because it's more common. Doesn't make it right exactly, but, yeah... They even did it in the articles about her brother's death.

Yep, seen it happen with Nakawaza too, the "zawa" is the same kanji as the one in Yoshizawa.

If I read the article correctly, the girls seem to have reason to be disappointed. After the round robin phase a deciding match against the Adidas team was needed to determine the winner of the tournament. Gatas lost that match 1 - 0.

Well, the reason I say that is I've been saving up Coke bottlecaps to get some Adidas shorts(in orange, imagine that?) I'll be getting them in a few days.

Unfortunately, no orange vest..the only thing that will get me close to Gatas wear

^ there are only 4 teams total in this league. Gatas played in two different tournaments this month. they lost in the championship final with the big girls (idols). - the one that tiny posted with yossies comments about losing.

They finally won this one. Gatas hosts and owns this league (professional working ladies teams)

In theory, it was the same tournament, but it's played in two different stages: they finished as runner ups in the one played on the 17th (the first stage), and as winners in the 2nd stage (played on the 21st).

And one could hardly say this is the "futsal season"

They've been playing all august because the Fuji TV Odaiba Bouken Land event allows them to have an outside court, and an audience nearly every day. It's not the first year this happens either: Fuji TV and Skylark Group have enough relationships between them that the Skylark Group is allowed to have it's own little "stadium" in the Bouken Land. They might have some more matches until the end of the year, all depending on the schedule of the Skylark Group League.

They haven't won the championship, just the 2nd stage. On the front page, it says there's going to be 4 stages plus finals.

There's been 7 teams in this league so far. I'm guessing there's going to be 13 teams total once the next two stages are announced.

Yossie was happy playing such a great and tense game with a chance to win everything, but regrets losing. Miki who got the first attack in the first 10 seconds of the game is convinced they'll win the tournament and can't wait for the next game. Konkon who blocked every shot in the first half [of the adi-UNIT5 game] says she would still like to improve her skills.

Article 8/21
Yossie's "feeling" that Gatas has already won the championship. Yossie demonstrates her leadership bringing the team together. Korenaga Miki fires off 5 goals during the 3 games [this girl got FIVE of the SIX goals during this stage]. After all the victories from the year and a half long Sphere League last year, Mikitty says we finally met our fans' expectations, (and thinking back to their first victory, Odaiba Cup `04) added that right now she's feeling 'sorry about that long wait' and wants to win the next final too. She declared V [made a V with her fingers] with a smile.

The tournaments that Gatas has played in so far this year:
5/12 Dai 1 Kai Skylark Group League Gasuto Stage - fourth place (two losses and a draw, one of the losses against adi-UNIT5), adi-UNIT5 comes in first
8/2 Skylark Group Boukenou Cup 1st Stage Kesshou Taikai - doesn't make it past preliminaries, Hito Natsu no Omoide Futatabi wins finals
8/14 Skylark Group Boukenou Cup 2nd Stage Kesshou Taikai - doesn't make it past preliminaries again, XANADU loves NHC wins finals
