Three men charged with attempting to rob a grave Saturday in Cassville were doing so because one of the men had seen the dead woman's obituary photo and wanted to have sex with her body, according to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday in Grant County Circuit Court.

There are no limits for some sickos; I guess since there is an official name for this behaviour it must happen a bit... makes you a bit worried about committing your female relatives to the care of male funeral workers, maybe? Where I live there are companies of all-female funeral workers, and I think it may be wise to use them for women's funerals (I know this is a slightly different topic than the article raised here). I guess even women can be sick, but maybe there's less chance. As for being dug up, maybe cremation is the answer for pretty younger women at least, though I know some have religious objections to it.

For a bit more info on this sick case, there are pics of the sickos right here and there is an obituary with photo of the intended victim, Laura Tennessen, on this page. She was pretty, but sure doesn't inspire me to go fetch my shovel.

If you're afraid of necrophilic funeral workers, just use a safe as a coffin

Imo it's good they dug up a corpse rather than trying to rape some helpless living woman or even a little girl.
