Do As Infinity will be providing the ending theme song for “Sengoku BASARA“, the latest game in the popular series!

The duo’s latest song is titled “Tasogare“, and will be released on November 16th as a single. Fans will get to hear the song in “Sengoku BASARA 3″, which officially hits stores for both the PS3 and Wii on November 10th. The song is Do As Infinity’s second tie-up with the series this year, after lending their song “Chikai” to the soundtrack of “Sengoku BASARA CHRONICLE HEROES” this July.

When asked about their latest tie-up, the duo responded, “It suits the game, and it has a nice ending! We’d love for everybody to hear it soon!”
“I sing about the feelings of wanting to live strongly through those times in one’s daily existence when one suddenly feels pain and solitude, without losing sight of one’s faint, dim hopes,” said vocalist Van Tomiko about the slightly melancholy track.

After five years, pop duo Do As Infinity (DAI) is reopening their official fan club “Dive At It” on October 11th. The name stems from fan requests when they announced their breakup. New fan club members will get an original face towel as a present. D.A.I is currently working with online website Nico Nico Douga for a new program.

On October 2nd D.A.I is holding their 12th anniversary commemoration live “Do As Inifinity 12th Anniversary ~FREE SOUL! FREE SPIRITS! ~Vol.3~” at Hibiya Kokaido.

D.A.I is also releasing a new single “Tasogare” on November 16th. It will be the ending theme song to video game series “Sengoku BASARA 3 Utage” (which is releasing November 10th by Capcom/PS3/Wii).

Their anniversary live will be broadcasted on Nico Nico Douga and USTREAM.

Do As Infinity announces new album + nationwide tour

Do As Infinity has announced that they’ll be releasing a new album called “TIME MACHINE” on February 29th. In conjunction with this album’s release, the duo will also be embarking on a nationwide tour titled, “Do As Infinity LIVE

“Right now, we are in the middle of production, so it’s hard to explain the details… ” the duo began before continuing, “We are working on many songs that will be perfect for our concerts, so please wait for it!”

The album will come in both limited and regular editions. The limited edition will come with a DVD containing music videos and footage from their 12th anniversary live, held on October 2nd at Hibiya Outdoor Stage.

Furthermore, Do As Infinity’s tour will kick off on March 31st at Toda Civic Cultural Hall in Saitama, and will wrap up on June 22nd at Aster Plaza in Hiroshima, for a total of 9 performances.

Do As Infinity’s “Koiuta” to be the theme song for movie, ‘Watashi no Ojisan’

It’s been announced that Do As Infinity’s new song “Koiuta” will be the theme song for director Hosono Tatsuoki’s upcoming movie, ‘Watashi no Ojisan‘.

This movie is based on the award-winning novel of the same name by Renjou Mikihiko, which tells the story of a forbidden love between a cameraman and his niece.

“Koiuta” was written just for this upcoming movie and will be part of Do As Infinity’s album “TIME MACHINE”, which is planned for release on February 29th.

‘Watashi no Ojisan’ is set to hit theaters nationwide on March 3rd.
