Pirates 3.  The epitome of mediocrity.  The actions scenes were entertaining but the cheesy jokes and running gags weren't funny at all.  A lot of the scenes and story just weren't necessary.  For example, what was the point of revealing Davy Jones's angsty past?  None whatsoever.  That and Chow Yun Fat's character was wasted, especially when you consider his character was extremely stupid.  Not surprising really given that the other pirates save Jack and Barbossa seemed the same, but really, he was advertised as a good villain beforehand and...I get the equivalent of nothing.  I wasn't expecting the end to play out the way it did though.

All in all it gave enough closure and hopefully now Disney will stop milking this cash cow.

Spider-Man 3: It was really stupid in a couple places, but overall I enjoyed it. Won't be buying it on dvd though.

PotC 3. Felt so long... don't know why. I thought the swordfighting wasn't done as well. Like 2 had the wooden wheel bit for example.
It's hard to build so much hype and deliver. So overall, I thought it was ok in most aspects!

Remember to stay after the really long credits, if you want to see around 10 more seconds of stuff. savvy~

I've gotten on a Samurai kick recently, so I've been watching some Kurosawa classics like Yojimbo and Seven Samurai. Those movies were awesome :)

Trailer Park Boys - The Movie

Was pretty good, as good as the tv show though. Also, the storyline isn't canon with the series, but as an introduction to the show it's decent.

PotC 3, which I actually thought was good. I see a lot of people disliked it but it was definately better than SM3, IMO. At least I got more of the same (which is what I expected) instead of an emo Parker who can play the piano and dance around like some kind of musical :P

Then I saw The Invisible last night, which was alright. Could do without some of the cheeeeesey dialogue though, real cheesey.

Apocalypto. Very good movie and the mayan's didn't speak english so it felt pretty authentic. I'll give this movie 9/10.

Went back and watched Pirates 2.  When I first saw it all the different subplots were so confusing but now after seeing all three movies, a lot of things made a lot more sense.  But it still dragged on because it was WAY too long and iffy characterizations.
