Yes Man - Better than expected, still very predicable and generic.

Hu Die - Butterfly

I liked the characters, they felt all very real and the movie had a possitive ending.
What I didn't like was the boring as hell narrative, it drags and drags, the movie lasts over 2 h but it felt like 4 h at least, the kissing scenes were really awkward, the sex scenes on the other hand funnily enough worked for me.

The Day the Earth Stood Still
An alien comes to Earth to discuss its future with humanity.  Keanu's agent is awesome.  He always gets the good roles.  Personally, I enjoyed it.  I didn't like the method of destruction, however.  I thought it'd be more destructive, but i guess it makes sense.

-----

Yes Man
A loans officer's life is changed with one word when he tries a self-helf program to better his life.  Was ok. Typical Jim Carrey film.  Good laughs.  Watch on a cheap movie day.

-----

Slumdog Millionaire
About an uneducated slum kid from India who gets on the indian version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, and gets suspected of cheating before answering the final question.  For every question asked, it shows a story from his lifetime on how he knew the answer for it.  Its a really good movie.

----

Gran Torino
A retired korean war vet tries to protect a hmong family from a gang.  I found it predictable, but still very entertaining. Its Clint Eastwood, can't go wrong.
word.

Just saw them both today.

Bride Wars 9/10
Very cute movie! Has it's funny moments and I love  Kate Hudson + Steve Howey. I would have liked to see more of a love story for Anne Hathaway's character, but I guess that's okay. Good date movie. *hint*hint* guys!, just don't bring anyone who is obsessed with getting married...

Marley and Me 8/10
Definitely a family movie. I like the chemistry that Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. It's one of those touching movies that tries to hint at the subtle things. I'm not really sure if it progressed slowly, cuse I lost track of time after watching bride wars. Overall good and the puppy was cute.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
10/10

"Bill my friend, we have had a most excellent adventure."
Damn yes, Ted my friend, it was.

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey
9/10

Another excellent adventure, dude. The evil robot Bill and evil robot Ted are most heinous.

I watched The Machine Girl and Onechanbara - The Movie, both very different from what I expected, in a bad and in a good way.

Then I "tried" watching Volcano High, but it was so bad I had to stop in the middle, I have no idea what people see in this movie and how this is -by any stretch of the word- a funny and entertaining movie.

Defiance - 3/10
It's not a sign of a good Holocaust movie if you're rooting for the nazis in the hope that the movie will be over sooner. They pitched this movie like it was a mix of Schindler's List and the Dirty Dozen, but it's more like a low grade TV movie with mediocre acting, cheesy melodramatic dialogue, amateur direction, and bad russkie accents (think: "I vill get you Moose and Squirrel"). And, apparently, Hitler's Final Solution could only afford a dozen soldiers and one truck, which the producers avoided blowing up bcoz they had to use it over and over again. The producers probably figured they had a built in audience for this type of film, so they pocketed the studio's money and put out the cheapest production they could manage. Skip it.

The Wrestler - 7.5/10
This is probably the best movie you'll ever see about an out-of-luck wrestler who tries to repair his relationship with his estranged daughter, while also trying to woo an aging stripper/single mom with a heart of gold. That being said, it doesn't mean this is a great movie. The problem is I don't find the lives of trailer-trash losers to be compelling entertainment. Production wise it's a solid film with a well told story, good direction and acting, especially from Mickey Rourke. But, it's not a film for everyone. I must say, though, I was impressed by the kick-ass shape Rourke got himself into for this film. And while Marisa Tomei's face was showing her age, her T's and A would beg to differ.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop
I like Kevin James and was not let down here. It's not the funniest movie I've seen recently, but I enjoyed it and would definitely watch it again.

Bed Time Stories.

Good enough. As usual there is a Rob Schneider guest appearance. The best part about this movie was Adam Sandler's ringtone

Purple Rain - 9/10

Sure it's a feature length music video disguised as a film, but what a soundtrack.

Hana-Bi - 8/10

Gotta admit, the ending was already spoiled for me (thanks, Internet), but it was still a fine movie regardless.

The Alphabet Killer - 7/10
It's entertaining, and the ending is different than most movies of the genre. Also, it wasn't easy for me to know who the bad guy is, but the connection between the murders is crystal clear from the very beginning...

Other than that, Eliza Dushku fans must see this. She's a schizophreniac detective this time. ;)

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. - 10/10

I hate these kind of movies that make you cry in the last 40 minutes...:( I'm such a crybaby. I enjoyed it, ignoring the fact I hate Brad Pitt, that was a good movie. Though it was insane how young he looked when she was getting old, I said 'Fuckin' shit, if it was a magazine cover I would said they abused of the 'Surface Blur' filter'  . I'm gonna take my mom to see it with me cuz my sister just laughed when I was crying and it wasn't funny  :(.

Gran Torino, it was alright the storyline was good but the acting except for clint was terrible. They picked up random people that dont seem to have ever acted before.

The Goonies
9/10
Awesome movie was awesome. Points lost for poor Youtube quality. Josh Brolin was great as the older brother, and Corey Feldman telling Rosalita where the drugs go is classic.
