A Little Thing called Murder
Really weird. Got very mixed feelings from it. 6/10

~~
Sorry, I'm getting alittle off topic but I have a problem I need help with. ><

I have free ticket which expires soon so I'm going to the cinema this friday.
The problem is that they only show movies I'm not really in the mood for and now I can't decide between two.
Valkyrie or Australia?
Any recommendations which to see? I'm leaing towards Valkyrie because it's premier and all but if Australia is better I'd rather see that.
Sorry for OFF topic. ><

I went to Valkyrie, and I'm glad I did. btw, thanks for the tips guys  :sweatdrop:
9/10
Damn, that was an awesome movie! I don't want to spoil it for anyone but if you have good knowledge of WW II you should know how it's end. It was <spoiler ON>frustrating to watch knowing it couldn't end with victory. =(<spoiler OFF>
Seriously this movie was very moving and real. I liked Stauffenbergs assistant so much! <spoiler ON>The ending was so moving when he stood in front of Stauffenberg to get shot first <spolier OFF> He was my favorite! ><
Overall a moving and real movie. It's hard to imagine that the WW II actually was only like 70 years ago. It's not THAT long ago.
9/10

Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans

9/10

The other movies were better in both storyline and action sequences, but I've been such a huge Underwold fan since forever, so I still really liked this one. I wish they expanded more on the story between Lucian and Sonja though, like how their relationship began, that's such a key element.

Thrashin'

7/10

Again, poor Youtube quality. One the eighties cheese movies, it stars Brooke McCarter of Lost Boys fame as friend of Josh Brolin. Skater movie. One of the last where they actually showed skaters wearing pads.

Also, a delightful ramp-roast. Literally. -snicker-

The Haunting of Molly Hartley

4/10

The ending was terrible and the entire thing wasn't even scary, lead actress was also terrible. The only saving grace of this movie was Chace Crawford and his sexy-self.

Stand by Me

10,000,000,000,000,000/10

Omigod, this movie was AMAZING. It was funny, for one, but it wasn't stupid funny. The times when Gordy cries and lets out his emotions to Chris are not angsty at all, which is refreshing from modern movies. Each of the four boys has a very different personality: Teddy (Corey Feldman) is the crazy one. His father is (heavily) hinted to be abusive, but he still sticks up for the guy. Vern is the larger kid, the one who gets picked on teasingly by his friends. Chris is the 'bad boy'. His older brother, 'Eyeball' Chambers, has given the family a reputation for being not-so-good. And Gordy was overshadowed by his star football-playing brother, who died before the events of the movie.
It's a beautiful tale of friendship and growing up, with some conflict provided by Ace Merril, played by Kiefer Sutherland. The greaser Ace and his friends are delightful to watch.
This movie was just fantastic. I was bawling when it ended.

Nightmare on Elm Street

10000/10 XD

I love this movie to pieces! It can be campy (especially the special effects.. fountain of blood!) but it remains my favorite horror movie that I've watched since I was a little kid.

You, me and Dupree. Not the best Owen Wilson movie there is.

Closed Note. Good, but not quite the film I expected. I expected more music.

Warning, some spoilers maybe up ahead.

-----------------

So I got around to watch the american remake of the korean movie My Sassy Girl..
I gotta' say it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

The thing is that it didn't have that same impact as the original had.
Probably because I didn't really feel that emotional character development in this remake.

jeon ji hyun brought a lot more sass, humor and violence that Elisha Cuthbert sorta' lacked.

The movie did have a lot of recognizable scenes which i enjoyed seeing but it still lacked that something the original brought.

Comparatively the original won hands down.
But this is probably one of the better remakes I've seen.

so I give it 7/10

Quote
Arnold Schwarzenegger Will Be in Stallone's The Expendables!

It looks like this will be the year Arnold Schwarzenegger makes his Hollywood comeback! Well, not exactly, but besides his rumored CGI appearance in Terminator Salvation, AICN has just learned that Arnold will be appearing in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables. They have a pretty trustworthy source - Stallone himself - so I don't we have to be worried that this is a rumor. Their source let them know that they've convinced Arnold to show up as himself, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, because Sly's character Barney Ross and Arnold "have some history back when the Gov was shooting Conan the Barbarian."

This casting news is almost ironic because every time I've written about The Expendables previously, I've joked that the cast would be perfect if Arnold or Jean Claude Van Damme joined. It was a joke because, as we know, Arnold retired from acting when he became the Governor. And JCVD, well, we heard about him. So now when it turns out that Stallone has convinced Arnold to appear, not only is that pretty damn impressive, but it's almost like a dream come true. Though we sadly won't see him doing any fighting. Word is Arnold will only be shooting for one day. Ben Kingsley has also been replaced by Eric Roberts.

They were also told that Stallone is tweaking the script in order to "nail the right tonal balance of humor, action and emotional reality." Which is good news considering the backlash from Van Damme's quotes last week. I've still got high hopes that this is going to be a frickin' badass action movie in the end!
