Hey!

I haven't contributed anything lately and there's been a lot posted since then. I figured I oughta post some music for you guys. :]

Middle 9

Jazz/ Instrumental/Rock

Osaka, Japan (2003 – present)

Middle 9 is a band formed by the current four members in Osaka, Japan in 2003. Their first album that contains 9 tracks “SEA THAT HAS BECOME KNOWN” will be released on September 26, 2008. It has been about 2 and half years since the last mini album that contains 5 tracks, “Swing and Circle on the Fluyt” (April 26 2006 / CATUNE). Their style might seem to be moderate at first since the members play Vibraphone and ES-335. However, the stages actually have a reputation for a powerful groove and totally active performances that lift audiences at one burst. This instrumental band has not only the dynamism of live music but also high creativity for the sensitive sound as you can see in their works. Adding a trumpeter as a support member, their new album contains some party tunes which interweave funk and jazz. These tracks are built by their great sound sense and give a stylish mode to the first full album. The CD will be out on their private label “LYON”. The members themselves did artwork as well as recording and mixing on that self-direction label. The mastering engineer is SAEmastering / Roger Seibel who worked on TORTOISE, HIM, SUNRA and also the previous album of Middle 9.

Chihei Hatakeyama is an ambient/drone artist living on the outskirts of Tokyo.  He has two solo albums in addition to his work with the duo Opitope.  His music is in general a collection of clear piercing tones with occasional free-form melodic lines being placed on top by acoustic guitar or other instruments.

Thanks everyone, especially those, who puts their music on mediafire.
This rule, that you must have some comments to download great music directly from this site, so frustrating me...
One of our (russian) modern writers said: "a discussion of music is like dancing of architecture". Of course, someone loves to talk, someone (like me) not... Oh, those rules...
Anyway, a-fei sounds great. Middle 9 too.

So I have a big pile of noisy punk music I've been listening to for the past couple of months. I get the feeling that most people here don't share my love of that particular genre but would anyone be interested in me posting some up here?

Deracine are crazy fast, insanely catchy, and awesomely sarcastic.  They only have one album out released three years ago.

Yolz in the Sky are one half Melt-Banana style light speed hardcore, and one half rocking disco jams.

Not sure how obscure they are, but I really, really love Head phones President/HPP, and ANZA... I'm so sad I miss them everytime they come to the USA! Seeing them (or at least ANZA!) live would literally make my life. I won't be able to die happy unless I see her in person at least once. XD

^ I used to listen to HPP, and yeah, I wouldn't really count that as obscure. haha

^^ Already knew Yolz in the Sky, we're akin. XD But that Deracine is new to me and seem pretty fun.

Speaker Gain Teardrop

Post-rock/Instrumental/Ambient

A three-piece post-rock band from Hiroshima, Japan. I haven't listened to them that much as of now, but from what I've heard it's pretty nice. There's also a track called 'Colophon' remixed by Kashiwa Daisuke. He basically turns a 6 minute track into 10 minutes, love it. Anyways, here's the album.

2.colophon
