It's all about the genetics man!  When Ando's powers manifest the show has officially jumped the shark.

If this show doesn't improve soon then cancellation is the only thing that's coming

....and it's not getting any better

:thumbsup

- Hiro's officially retarded
- Hayden's still hot

- Please no more scenes with just Peter & Claire. They might be fucking behind the scenes but they have absolutely no chemistry on screen.
- Peter being smarter without his powers
- Petrelli family soap opera bullshit
- I hope Mohinder suffers the same fate as his guinea pig
- Lame ass love story between Parkman and Daphne
- Bonding between Elle & Sylar :bleed eyes:

I wish they'd just kill claire off (after disabling her powers) and dump hayden from the show. Then I could quit watching.

^ NO WAI!! Hayden and Kristen are my top 2 reasons for watching :P

Well while this eclipse idea sounds like a good 'reset' button to put into the show, it just opens up more plot holes. For example, in the first season, an eclipse didn't affect their powers at all! Hiro was still using his to teleport to New York and after the eclipse happened. Raises questions as well about the time travellers. Say if future Peter went back in time and was caught in the eclipse, would he lose his powers, or keep them? If so, then all Arthur Petrelli has to do is time travel into the future at the convenient time of an eclipse and kill everyone that's powerless. Simple :P And two eclipses in as many years seems rather implausible. Argh, no, bad Tuffty, stop being so picky! XD

Also a bit peeved at how they worked all season to turn Sylar to a good guy and yet he goes back to normal at the first smile and a wink from Elle (though I'd do a lot for Kristen if she wanted me too!). Still not liking how Elle has a different personality from her anarchical, psychotic former self.

Gotta admit I wasn't paying that much attention (to anything other than hayden at this point) but how much of the earth's surface did the eclipse cover and how long did it last?

I'm just hoping they get things in order.  I'm tired of Hiro being the joke of the show instead of the alternate future bad ass.

i actually missed the first half of the last episode =P  dang, i thought i'd never miss it cuz i forgot.  The show must be really bad to me then =P

But i saw this weeks =)  I was thinking the same thing, Glasses Guy is the strongest out of all the powerless heroes =)

Haitan guy was cool, getting his brother.  Buttttt.... wasn't feeling peter and nathan in the jungle with guns.

Claire died! then came back to life... which was predictable =\

Evil Sylar =)

Dead Elle =(

Crippled fast chick wasn't a big twist. i was like, so what...

I like 10 year old Hiro better than old Hiro.  10yr old Hiro doesn't need to think, just does, and gets shit done!  I still wanna see Future Badass Hiro.   Damn Hiro hasn't used his sword yet...

i was really hoping that Seth Green would have werewolf powers =P

Yawn. Here I was hoping the Eclipse would be the reset button to tone down some character's powers, but it just turned out to be a temporary off switch. If anything, Hiro regained all his powers back as he couldn't travel through time before, just space, but well he sees a pretty blonde and I guess now he suddenly can. And I hate to say it but it's a good thing Elle's gone. Complete character change from Season 2 that made her far less interesting and the relationship with Sylar was beyond tedious, more so than Maya and her brother from last season. Elle hates him, then loves him, then hates him, then wants to turn Sylar to the company or Sylar saves Elle then minutes later kills her. They've both done complete 180's so many times this season it's ridiculous.

And let's go over more things shall we? If everyone lost their powers in the Eclipse, then how come Arthur didn't? Surely if he lost Adam's power of being immortal, he would have been hospitalised once again? And for all the hype of 'It's coming', what actually happened? What significant event happened that changed the series? I don't think of anything.

There's a lot of inconsistencies with the characters it's hard to really care. What happened to Peter's sudden bloodlust from gaining Sylar's power? And Sylar's new found power from learning other abilities from empathy is now pretty useless seeing as he's bad again. And no more Kristen Bell! Things are looking bad for Heroes.

i would think technically since Arthur stole Peter's powers, Peter doesn't have Sylar's power anymore.  The urge is extra baggage with the power.

re: Adam, Adam had fast healing like Claire, not immortal powers.  So, it would have completely healed Arthur's poisonous wounds and infections.

Just fucking stay bad Sylar! Means the whole good/bad switchovers were a waste of time but oh well.

And a returning writer has taken a pop at Villians

Quote
Returning Heroes writer Bryan Fuller has taken a swipe at 'Villains', the current volume of the show.

Fresh from his stint on the recently-axed Pushing Daisies, Fuller told Entertainment Weekly that the show recently "became too dense and fell into certain sci-fi trappings. For instance, in the 'Villains' arc, when you talk about formulas and catalysts, it takes the face off the drama."

"I thought the 'Villains' arc started out very interestingly, and then became sort of muddy and dense and I couldn't get my hooks into the characters to understand their motivations," Fuller continued. "I also started to feel confused about what people's abilities were. One of the great things about the first season is that the metaphor for their abilities was very clear. Those metaphors seem to have gotten complicated in the past two seasons."

Fuller, who wrote several acclaimed first season episodes of Heroes, confirmed that his work will be seen on the current season from the 19th episode onwards.

So, volume 3 is done.  Volume 4 "Fugitives" is next.

Spoilers, of course.

mmm, was an ok Season finale.  Not liking how everything pretty much happened in this episode though.  Super charger Ando was interesting, but when i think about it, he's still pretty useless by himself.

Hehe, i think its yet another star trek reference, but it looked like  Michael "Colonel Worf" Dorn is the President in Heroes =)  And Nathan wants to gather all "Heroes" because they're threats to society, ala X-Men.

I'm kinda interested in Volume 4, since there's new writer's again.

Worf and sulu in the same episode is amusing.

(Ironically I have joked about obama being elected head of the klingon high council.)

And claire reminded me of Homecoming Queen's got a Gun. :-)

But that whole window fire bullet claire thing was pretty lame. But then it's probably more efficient to stick to mentioning what wasn't lame.

We'll see where they take it.

Finale wasn't too bad, and yet..god I hate to sound like ComicBookGuy on a rant, but do the writers not at least read through the script first for any possible plotholes. Take this list for example:

Why did Peter just happen to get flight after injecting himself when it's proven with Ando that it could be anything, not just what you want the most?
Why didn't Nathan just fly out himself?
Why didn't they just knock Meredith out or put her in the cell Hiro was in that blocked abilities?
Why didn't Noah just shoot her and use Claire's blood to revive her?

Plot devices used earlier in the series but completely forgotten about here. Heroes isn't being criticised for one or two gaffs. It is consistantly contradicting itself to an extent where you can not possiblely turn your brain off due to the flashing siren and wailing siren screaming "But hang on a sec..." every two minutes. Oh I dunno. Only thing that made sense was Ando's new power as the support guy. And with Fugitives looking very X-Men esque and with the promise of new writers, I hope for a more consistent season this time.

/Rant over XD

Sorry for double post but:

Quote
Could Ali Harter be going for good next season?
Those clinging onto Heroes, hoping for a miraculous recovery from the twisted storylines and ragged characters, might actually be happy about this one.

Toronto radio station Z103.5 announced this morning that Ali Larter has reportedly been asked to leave Heroes at the end of this season.

Producers apparently feel there’s nothing left to do with Larter’s newest character, Tracy Strauss. They don’t necessarily want to release her from contract, but will potentially kill off Tracy at the end of Volume IV.

Pre-Tracy, Larter played dissociative identity disorder sufferer Niki Sanders, whose alter ego Jessica displayed super-crazy strength and power.

Niki was killed off at the end of Volume II when she ran into a burning building after her son, Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey), and his cousin, Monica (Dana Davis), who was notably absent throughout the entire third volume.

If Larter is written off the show, it would come as no surprise. The Tracy character has done nothing but annoy loyal fans who want to see the actress’ acting chops put to better use.

And it seems as though fans aren’t the only ones unhappy about the series’ lowered expectations.

A blind item posted on E! Online claims the show has finally succumbed to the behind-the-scenes squabbles usually spawned by ensemble casts, and now one major character wants out.

As with all blind items, no names are mentioned, but the actor or actress in questions feels he or she is not getting enough screen time, and is asking to be let go of his or her contract at the end of the season.

There’s more: The actor has been on the show since the first season, has “more name recognition than others in the cast” and could be revived from a death scene (which could pretty much mean anybody).

Are these two news items one and the same? Could Ali Larter be asking for a show release, rather than the other way around? Before the series began, Larter was definitely one of the more established cast members, and Tracy has had little-to-no screen time in recent episodes.

Seems they can kill off any character easily.  There's still the last sister to make a story around, but i guess they can just ignore it and *poof* it's gone =P
