:ROTFLMAO: That's hilarious!  Makes you wonder if they're going to do the same thing with Marmite (which, from what I know, is the British equivalent).

JPH!P 's kuro808, Fushigidane, ChrNo, Jab & marimari. Always.

Well, that's one more reason to never visit America.
(I Vegemite)

Wonder if Australia should ban peanut butter and jelly.

Oh, that stuff. I use it on my congee. (or was it Marmite... or Bovril... >_>)
I never imagined it'd be banned though. That's absurd.. now people are gonna start smuggling the stuff in. lol.

damn, i was too slow to post this thread.

Just shows americans just can't get enough of banning stuff that originates in other countries.
I suggest encasing the usa inside a giant bubble.

Shut Up. If I wanted to listen to an arsehole, I would have farted.

That's just stupid >.<

Why can nothing be done?  Because people are lazy and are just stupid.  Why is that the law anyway?  It makes no sense, why is it ok in one thing and not another?

I've never had Vegemite, but I still think this ban is ridiculous. After reading about folate/folic acid on Wiki, it seems like the only risks of high folate levels are masking of B12 deficiencies and interference of antimalarial treatments, and evidence for both risks aren't 100% confirmed. Actually, it's supposed to be like some kinda miracle vitamin. There's no real reason to ban Vegemite solely because of its folate content. Stupid US.
