Ah, not really too n00by of a question, but whats the deal with Ayu's father and her family problems, I remember its a big inspiration of her music but anyone know the full story?

A: I thought Mommy's life was strange, not mine.

Q: How about your dad?
A: I have no idea. I don't even know if he's dead or alive. He left when I was so young, I barely remember him.

I'm not an Ayu newbie (

LOL) but I do have a question~ Has Ayu had any surgery? Granted, she does look a lot different from her earlier bikini-modeling photos, but that could also just be because everyone changes with age. However, I know Ayu has come under a lot of speculation for tending to look "Western," and I've heard that she might have actually done more than just dye her hair and use coloured contacts from time to time in order to look more so.

In my heart of hearts, I don't believe Ayu has gone under the knife to change her looks (especially since she seems so focused on being "sincere" and "true to herself"~ just watch her CNN interview) but I was just curious if anyone knew anything else one way or another.

I'd consider reading Masa's page, at least the long interviews if you don't feel like going through his own theories about Ayu's past.

And, wakaba_doll, I think the plastic surgery topic is a no-no. It's like a can of worms, and all you can get is either "YES, JUST COMPARE THE PICS!!11!" or "NO WAY, I WONT BELIEVE IT TILL SHE CONFIRMS IT HERSELF" anyway. It's just plain old in my humble opinion.

I'd bet my hands, legs and eyes, that Ayu has had plastic surgery. It's so obvious that i'm shocked that some fans still think she's 100% natural.
Most of idols have had plastic surgery anyway (eyelid surgery anyone?), and i have nothing against it. :\

PS: i like Ayu.

There is no actual concrete evidence. I don't believe she has, if you look at her modelling days and her today she looks almost exactly the opposite and generally when someone argues that Ayu has had surgery they're an anti-fan/hate Ayu and want to take her down a peg. :]

I honestly don't think it's possible for us to ever know the truth, as others have said, just because it is such a common practice. If it is true, I don't think there's anything at all wrong with it at all or that it makes her any different or less sincere a person. It's certainly possible, but who am I to say?

We can't be sure for certain on whether she has had surgery or not, even something as simple as eye-enhancement surgery. I believe she has, and I'm an Ayu fan who does believe in it, so it's not always just the Ayu-haters who say it

But really, does that make her a different person inside? I don't think so. Whether she has had or not, it doesn't change the fact that she's an extremely talented and creative person; and I'll always support her for that.

Plastic surgery among celebrities is so common, so I've never ruled out that she hadn't had it done. I'm not saying she's had a lot done, even just small touch-ups is counted.

Yeah, I don't like touching on the issue of plastic surgery when it comes to Ayu too much either, but I just felt my post was necessary to confirm that even Ayu fans can talk about it; it's not only the haters that do

(This is just my personal opinion, that fans shouldn't be 'afraid', for lack of better word, to talk about things like this when it comes to their idols and such. But of course, noone's forcing anyone to talk about it, so we should just leave it be now)

Especially with all of the "pregnancy rumours" floating around, hehe^~
