For all we know, it might simply be that she doesn't like wearing heels, or even that that just can't get the hang of wearing them.

Yeah, it's probably just a case of her not being able to perform in heels. Especially during concerts where they literally have to run up and down stages and stairs.

Ah, glad to know that I"m not the only one who noticed that she doesn't wear heels while performing. I'm really curious as to know why... hmm...perhaps for her own safety?

Although I swear there was this one time I saw her in heels...

^ actually now that I think about it she was still wearing heels during the bonkyu bomb concert. She didn't stop wearing them till after she got appendicitis. Maybe she never healed all the way.

Aika has a problem with broken off cartilage in the second toe of her left foot. In an announcement on the official site it was said that an operation will be necessary to avoid problems with performances in the future. Aika will be absent at the FC events on 23 and 24 May.

I've always suspected the fact that she doesn't wear heels (or very high ones at least) was health-related. I think it's because of a previous condition? Just not sure if it was mentioned here before or not.

Anyway, I just bought today the Shouganai Yume Oibito single with the dance shot version and man, does mitsui looks like the cutest thing or what ?
Seeing the video I just remembered seeing her live and how much I was mesmerized by how cute and adorable she is. And in this new video she just got even cuter.

I do like all the members but live I think she is by far the most hypnotizing !

I need to post a retraction.
Since day one of Aika's arrival to MM I hated on her pretty bad. I didn't like her voice or her looks and I thought she was kinda bratty. But after talking with her briefly and seeing her reactions to the fans and the efforts she made to go the distance to communicate with us, I have to say she is a truly professional person and quite nice too. At one point me and some others were waiting past some glass doors after the second autograph session, when the girls walked by and waved to us. Aika made sure to run back and wave again (so cute). And during the breakfast and signings she was very forward with questions and answers as if she really wanted to learn about us foreign fans. She made a special impression on me which changed the way I think about her now. I'm still not a fan of that voice. But I need to apologize for all the negativity I talked about her.
I'm Sorry Aika. You were a real sweatheart!

I too need to retract my opinion of her. I have been making fun of her and calling her jaws and what not. But after the first autograph session, she was way too cute and enthusiastic. During the 1st autograph session while Reina was taking forever to sign my cd. Aika who was waiting for it turned and looked at me and gave me a cute wave. I waved back and winked at her for some reason! She started giggling and said thank you when I got into her turn.

During the last autograph session, while I was waiting in line to sign with MM inside the tent. She saw me again and pointed at me and waved like crazy. I was like "OH sheet, she remembered!" and I waved back at her. What a cutie!

During Tenkei and my interview with them, Aika's energy outshone everyone by far. She was SO nice and SO enthusiastic, and she truly seemed appreciative of us as fans. She's a damn sweet kid, and I hope everyone comes to love her as much as I do now!

I didn't get to meet her personally but all the stories are awesome. And I also noticed how hard she tried to wave at the fans and such through videos and everything. Also during the panel, I really liked her answers and stuff, when she answered for Junjun about the korean movie thing she gained so much respect points. She's a real pro. I wasn't too enthusiastic about her addition to the group, but this chick is awesome.
