From what I've heard, she has the flu. She also didn't appear on a radio show and Kamei went in her place, explaining that Aika was sick.

Kusumi - Smile (^_^).  Because she's always smiling!  Her smile's great.
Yoshizawa - It feels like if Kusumi's a 14 year old from the Heisei period, then Mitsui's a 14 year old from the Showa period.
Fujimoto - Interesting.  The way she moves and talkes is....... LOL
Tanaka - Granny.  The reason is the tone of her voice.  Her hands are always moving when she talks.  And she talks at a reeeeeally slow pace LOL.
Takahashi - Doggie.  She feels like a little puppy.  And she runs all gangly, like I puppy I think.
Kamei - Wriggly.  She's always wriggly all the time~
Michishige - Chatty♡  On the way back from a concert I was sitting next to her in the car, and she talked nonstop♡
Niigaki - Granny (^_^) sort of.  She talks really slowly and there's just kind of a granny feel to her...

Hello! I'm from over at mm-bbs.org. And new here at JPHiP, although I've lurked for a while. I used to work on their Hello! Morning weekly subs, and now I just translate whenever I have the time to. As Aika is one of my favorites, I've been working on the Aika x (member) articles. I haven't had a chance to do the more recent ones; only the past two. I'll post them here as I finish.

Mitsui Aika x Kusumi Koharu

"Because Mitsui-chan has school things to worry about as well, I want to be by her
to cheer her on together." --Kusumi

"I want to be able to talk and to smile and laugh along with everyone." --Mitsui

"I want to learn 'trendy fashion'!" --Mitsui

Kusumi: Because Mitsui-chan and I are the same age,
rather than calling me "senpai", I really want it to
have the feeling of us being classmates.

Aika: I also want to be able to easily talk to you,
like the kind of conversations that you have with friends at school,
and to talk with you about things that only happen to girls our age.

Kusumi: Mitsui-chan talks so much more politely than Koharu does! Before she eats, she
says things like, "osaki ni itadakimasu"*.

Aika: Well, you have to be mindful about things like manners and etiquette..

Kusumi: Amaaaaaaazing! My smiling faced rival, you're always really truthfully
smiling. But your smile is different from mine.. it's a light and fluffy smiling face,
I think.

Mitsui: But when I laugh, my eyes completely disappear, so I often think
"Ah having large eyes would be so nice~~".

Kusumi: My eyes become hard to see too, though~~ (laugh). Ah, I want to learn
how to cook from you! You always handmake your own bentou lunches, too. Koharu
wants to make Hamburgers!

Mitsui: I can teach you that this time. I can make Omlette Rice and Cha-han well, too.

Kusumi: Aah, Koharu loves eating more than cooking.. In exchange for teaching me
cooking, I will teach you about fashion.

Mitsui: Waaaa~ Please pleaaase teach me!

Kusumi: I tend to like white, black and simple clothing, but Mitsui-chan has a lot
of jeans and casual clothing, don't you?

Mitsui: That's true, isn't it. I don't even look good in things like jackets.
Because of that, I want you to teach me how to dress more like an adult.

*-- a really polite way of saying "lets eat", basically.

Niigaki: How was your first recording of Hello! Morning?

Mitsui: I wasn't able to give a good reaction to the games.

Niigaki: But, your sense for the camera came very easily.. the way you performed in front of it with such dignity and without reservation, I was really surprised.

Mitsui: Oh no, no.. I was so nervous. I held back and was reserved when talking to my senpais, too.. because of that, I was worried I wouldn't be able to express my own appeal, but everyone talked to me and told me just to do my best.

Niigaki: That's excellent! Around the time when I first appeared on Hello! Morning, I was so nervous that I couldn't even say one single word. That was the kind of feeling I had back then.

Mitsui: I'm able to be the way I am because of how kind all the older members are to me. Just recently, Niigaki-san did me a big favor by teaching me the way to use the traditional honorific language, didn't you?

Niigaki: Your manners and politeness are all correct, and your greetings are all done perfectly, but the first time we talked, it was all friendly, wasn't it? (Laugh) Things like "Hey, hey, what is ________?". But after you said something only once and I corrected you, I thought that you could easily become a very capable girl.

Mitsui: Ahh, thank goodness~~ (laugh)

Niigaki: Mitsui-chan, rather than changing your strangeness, you should rather stay as you are because you're good this way, I think. For Hello! Morning, rather than thinking, "Ahh, joining in during this part is bad, isn't it.." , it would be good for you to join in even more fully than today's recording, I think. For me, if we're moving at a fast pace, and talking too quickly, it is alright to join in slowly at your own pace with something like "Umm..".
