Teehee xD This is insanely sugary and fluffy, don't blame me if you receive diabetes from reading this xD
My Crimson Angel
When I asked you to hold me that time, what did you think?
Ai flipped to the next page of the book she had been reading for awhile. It had a rather intriguing title and beautiful conceptual art for the cover; she could not afford to miss out on this new vampiric novel by her favorite author. Eyes scan characters, formulating various imageries in her head. Dialogues rang in her head with each quotation her eyes read over. Vivid imagination led to movie depiction of this tale of medieval Europe. Darkness swept into her mind, lulling her into the world the book had spoken of, lulling her into the atmosphere of the sceneries the book had spoken of.
The day preceding her nightly reading had been a rough one. It had mostly consisted of promotion of their new single: Onna ni Sachi Are. The group had been stuck wearing those ridiculous golden outfits in the blazing humid heat traveling in a small van. It had always been refreshing when they had stopped in studios to film their performances and talk with the various music shows that had them scheduled for the day; at least those studios had air conditioning. The poor excuse of a studio they had used for Haromoni@ lacked such a necessity. Therefore, the short leader had to put up a calm and stoic front whenever her fellow members would complain to her of the heat.
The leader.
It was so soon.
It was too soon.
Ai shut the book, no longer occupied by its fantasy. Rather, a new subject punted reading out of her head and nestled itself. She set the book aside and let out a sigh, taking in the events of the novel into her mind for analysis. Sitting idly proved to be a short-lived past time, for the sound of a shrill bell sounded in the air. Lethargy possessed her as her head slowly turned towards the door of her apartment. Clearly, the initiator of the ringing had been too impatient…
…Thus the door slammed open.
“Answer your doorbell quicker!” called an agitated voice.
It’s her… Ai had thought to herself. The appearance of the person had contributed to her bad mood.
“Why are you here, Fujimoto?” her words had poison woven into them as she said that, causing the older to raise a brow at her hostility.
“What are you pissed about?” the ex-leader ignored the rudeness of her host, removing her shoes and then walking over to the shelf holding various DVDs near Ai. “I’m just here to get movies for someone.”
“You left me with all of your responsibilities…”
Miki turned her head, looking at a glaring Takahashi. The ex-leader let out an amused snort, wondering if the other had any idea who she was glaring at. No one was supposed to question her authority in such a manner. Those who were daring enough were either very courageous to stand up to such a demon or were simply asking obliviously to have their limbs torn off. The said demon turned around completely and crossed her arms.
“Uh-huh, and?”
“The least you could do was ask for a proper graduation if you had wanted out THAT much. You did not have to go as far as to rent a boyfriend and then be caught by Friday just so you could retire of us quickly and be with your beloved Matsuura.”
“It became boring when Yotchan left, so I wanted out immediately, dear,” the ex-Morning Musume member tilted her head, giving a glare of equal strength while her mouth was upturned into a smirk. For some reason, Miki was pleased with the result of her planned scandal. Her fans had already cemented her as the member that was the most contradictory idol of the group, therefore, there would not be any hard feelings if she had pulled off this sort of stunt. Her fans are too loyal to burn her merchandise unlike certain fans of a best friend/lover she has. So out of that scandal, it was a win-win situation. Or so she thought. The next thing Ai had said was something she forgot to calculate into her plans.
“You were cruel to lack compassion.”
The glare hardened.
“You did not know that you were important to us as one of the major singers and the only member who was charismatic? Now that you are gone, all of the responsibilities that I cannot do are pushed to me. You could not at least consider the position of the others and help us improve before you left?”
“So? That just means you are just using me to your benefit. I don’t intend on becoming a senior in that manner,” the GAM member turned her back to the Morning Musume leader, looking at the DVDs lined up on the mahogany shelf. “If you wanted to learn something useful in life, go ask someone like Nakazawa.”
Ai let out an exasperated sigh, knowing she could not accomplish anything by arguing with that demon. What was the point of her hostility anyway? Was she looking forward to being pitied? Was she looking forward to being apologized to? It was impossible for the other to return as a leader now that she had left.
A battle that could not be won.
She could only watch as the demon browsed through her DVD collection, wondering what sort of DVDs Miki’s friend was looking for. She almost let out a chuckle when Miki took a huge step to the side, ignoring all of her Takarazuka DVDs. She had to admit though, Ai really did try a bit too hard to convert everyone to her favorite troupe. She was sure that everyone had fled from her the second she came into the room with a DVD in her hand.
“Huh, you even have the copy of the Sexy 8 concert too?” Miki’s eyes stopped at the aforementioned DVD.
“Why not? I can’t have my own merchandise?” Ai raised a brow.
“Teehee, now that I think about it, weren’t you raping our dear Yossie with your eyes during the ceremony?”
“No ah wazun’t!” Ai became flustered, unaware of her switch of dialects, “t’was a grad, y’know?! Supposed ter ‘eel sad ‘bout that!”
“I had no idea what the hell you said, but I think what I was true since you didn’t speak standard Japanese,” the corners of the demon’s mouth turned upward very widely, comparable to that striped mischievous cat in unnatural pink and purple colors.
“It was a graduation and her final concert as a Morning Musume member! Who wouldn’t have her eyes on her?!”
“Come now, during the ceremony, you two had the most lovey moments of us all! First, you couldn’t even form your words and instead, ran to hug her. THEN you decide to give your words while standing this close to eachother!” Miki moved her fingers in a pinching motion to emphasize the approximated distance, “and then YOU ask HER to hug you instead of hugging her yourself! Mind you, I actually took my dear time to count how long you two held eachother! I can tell you that you two share the awards for longest hug, best speech, most intimate hug, most emotional, the most couple-like hug, longest moment, and did I mention most intimate hug?”
Utter silence.
“Hmm, did I win?” Miki sat on the floor in front of Ai, tilting her head upwards like a curious innocent kid.
“Ack!” Ai jumped back, pressing herself against the black leather couch. Since when did Miki have blinding speed like that?!
“My bad,” Miki let out a half-assed drawled laugh, almost like a perverted old man. “So you do have feelings for her, huh?”
“I don’t!” Ai covered her face with her hands to hide that evil blush which had tainted it.
“Teehee, how adorable… And how coincidental too,” Miki raised a brow.
“What?”
“Nothing,” Miki waved her hand dismissively. “But nevertheless, don’t be shy of your feelings. It’s annoying and clichéd,” the demon stood up and turned around, taking out her cell-phone.
Ai could only remain silent.
“Hey~ She’s got them all here. Yup. WHAT?! HELL NO! I AIN’T BRINGIN’ A STACK OF DVDs WITH ME ON THE TRAIN! I have to go home where my beloved Aya is waiting for me in bed with cat ears and chains, damn it! YOU go get them yourself! I’m NOT going to walk around with like, 30 DVDs in my arms! Of COURSE I forgot to bring a bag, you twit! I’m too lazy to do this and that’s final! You should get them yourself if you have the free time to argue with me! Oh really? Kay~! See you whenever~!” Click.
“Quite the flutter of emotions, there,” Ai tilted her head. “And too much information,” the leader narrowed her eyes, her mind in the gutter imagining the scenario with the other half of GAM...
“Yeah yeah, you heard the conversation, I’m out. So just wait it out a little longer before your DVDs get taken, kay~?” Miki drawled as she placed the phone in her jacket pocket. “Have fun~!” the demon pulled a Fujimoto technique and in the blink of an eye, went over to lick Ai’s lips (Not kiss, lick.) and ran off before she could get slapped.
“I’ll get you for this later!” Ai rubbed at her lips furiously with the back of her hand as she glared at the fleeing demon running like hell out the door and slamming it shut.
Oh well, it’s not like she could do anything anyway.
Miki was in Gatas Brilhantes as the most violent player of them all…
In the meanwhile, Ai listened to her Sansa at a low volume in case the friend of Miki happened to ring the doorbell. She would feel particularly embarrassed if her door was barged in a second time. But she felt like she wanted to strangle her Sansa after she heard what was first on the list.
Sono Deai no Tame ni.
Why do you keep popping up in my life, huh? Ai wanted to say to the tomboy, but refrained from talking to herself. She leaned backwards so that her hands rested behind her head, taking such a posture because boredom was in the air. More songs passed by as she thought about Miki’s words and eventually led those words into Hitomi herself…
Ai wasn’t sure herself how she did it, but somewhere amidst the reign of the tomboy leader, she might have started viewing Yossie in a different light? Was it when she realized she was becoming lonely from her supposedly best friend drifting away from her and towards Eri? It must have been that. She started to feel heated whenever that person distanced herself near. She started to switch between standard Japanese and Fukuiben when said person spoke to her.
But Hitomi of all people would never fall for her. Her charms were not exclusive only to Ai. She was just like the bishounen leading star of Takarazuka plays: untouchable. Perhaps Yossie herself realized that, and flirted with everyone, much to Ai’s jealousy. Indeed, almost everyone loved her for her charm. Ai wouldn’t be surprised if she had various one-night flings or slept with half the project. Then again, the members knew her more than her fans. The fans might view Hitomi as the dominant person of the relationship or even a pimp, thought Ai, but everyone knew that the most Yossie would do is a dry and brief kiss on the cheek as opposed to Miki, who would have her way with anyone. There were absolutely no accounts of her and someone else in a relationship, last she checked. In fact, she recalled that Yossie had rejected anyone who had asked her out…
Why wasn’t Hitomi in a relationship?
Was she afraid of getting hurt?
Was she too lazy for them?
Was she too committed to her work to have them?
Was she waiting for someone?
Who was that someone?
The door bell rang.
Ai shut off her sansa and ran over to the door. Standing on her tiptoes, she looked in the peekhole to see who it was at her door.
“Why do you SERIOUSLY keep popping up in my life, huh?” Ai muttered under her breath, hoping that the other didn’t hear that. She opened the door slowly, unaware that her face had a meek expression to it as Hitomi gazed upon it with a smile.
“I hope I’m not committing any rudeness by intruding, but Miki was too lazy to pick up those DVDs for me, so here I am.”
Oh I see…
That idiot set it up, huh…?
The next time I see her…
I’ll make her eat that phone…
“Are you okay? It feels like I just walked in a very cold evil aura,” Yossie blinked a few times to confirm the presence of said aura. She never knew taking her shoes off would be such a chore with that cold evil aura burdening her. After she walked briskly away from Ai to her shelf, she felt the aura subside.
Realizing her chagrin caused the apprehension in the air, Ai calmed down and shut the door. Then she walked over and sat on the couch, resting her weary head on the arm of the chair. As Hitomi skimmed the shelf, she picked out a few DVDs here and there, piling it up on the low table in front of the couch. Ai wanted to broach a subject of something since the quietness was making everything awkward. Then she thought about how Miki told her to not be afraid to say how she felt…
“Uh… Yoshizawa-san…?”
“Yeah?” Hitomi looked over her shoulder from the shelf.
“I lo—I mean look at that pile! Do you really have to borrow so much?” Ai swore that if this was an anime, her eyes would be swirls imitating that @ sign at the end of their current TV show.
“Sorry, I guess I’m caught up in weird things. I just want to finish it all so I wouldn’t have to borrow things for a long time, haha,” Yossie scratched the back of her head in that awkward smile Ai found herself melting internally for.
Why do you look hot when you say something stupid, huh? Ai huffed internally, wondering if it had something to do with the Bishounen effect.
“I love y-your drama! I wish you had more lines though,” Ai laughed awkwardly.
“S’at so? It’s a shame I don’t have black hair anymore, huh?” Yossie chuckled as she fiddled with her blonde hair.
I screwed up AGAIN?
“Yeah, it was short-lived, I was thinking you’d at least have it for another month or so,” Ai continued laughing awkwardly, but then stopped because she thought that Yossie would think that she was becoming insane.
“If I kept changing my hair at that rate, I’ll be just like Ootani-san, ne?” Yossie smiled as she dropped off about four more DVDs into the growing pile. “Say, how’s the leadership going for you? Is everyone giving you a rough time?”
“Well…” Ai sat up, scratching her neck, “It’s not like they give me a rough time… But it’s like they don’t give me anything, you know?”
“Are they ignoring you?”
“It’s not exactly that either…Well… Maybe it is… It’s just, Risa speaks with the rokkies a lot, and Koharu is always included thanks to Sayu. Aika on the other hand… She talks to the staff members a lot, so I’m guessing that the others don’t include her or want to include her. Same goes for Linlin too… Junjun is getting along with the others though…”
“Then you should try to include them whenever you can, isn’t that how it should be?” Yossie walked over and sat next to Ai.
“Well… Those two aren’t the only ones… I’m kinda outcasted too… I think it’s just… I’m not good with talking to people. Not like you. If you were still here, I’d imagine that everyone will have a good time and laugh together without feeling neglected… We’d never have that experience… But now it’s all my fault that it’s happening to these people. I hate that I don’t have the same sort of charisma like you do…”
“Ai, you just have to learn to talk to people. You can’t exactly teach yourself charisma just like that. To learn such a thing means you have to get yourself involved and work with people. With the experiences you receive from that, you can try and adjust to things and talk without offending anyone or having problems.”
“So that’s what it comes down to, huh? Hurting and being hurt to learn how to avoid feeling that again, huh? I guess I’m just afraid of being hurt…” Ai looked at Hitomi, “I envy you a lot, you know that?”
“Haha, well, even I have my problems…”
“Hmm?”
“There’s someone I like…Well, I say like, but it’s more like love… I mean, since I’m not in Morning Musume anymore, I’m pretty much free to go anywhere or be with anyone. But now that I’m free, I just don’t know what to do or how to initiate anything… So the most I can do is just wait…”
“Wouldn’t that person feel irritated if they are kept waiting?” Ai tilted her head in bemusement.
“I don’t know, would that person feel that way?” Hitomi stroked her imaginary beard, “I’m not sure if she feels anything though… I thought I felt something once… But now I’m just not so sure anymore since we haven’t been in contact lately…”
“I see… Can you describe that feeling then?” Ai tried to piece things together, wondering about this person that Yossie was waiting for.
“My heart just overflows with thoughts… When I’m not around her, I can’t wait to see her again… I get really nervous when I am near her, but I try to play the cool part, it’s a bittersweet feeling. But the main point is, when I see her, I want to take care of her, like I want to be her guardian angel, no one else will take my role. But I’m not supposed to have these feelings for her, she’s not as free yet… And despite my wishes, I try not to come to her that much… I guess I’m just afraid of rejection…” Yossie leaned back onto the couch, looking up at the ceiling.
That description…
“Is that so…?” Ai rubbed her watery eyes with the back of her hand, realizing what the description had applied to…
“I should be the one to apologize though,” Hitomi smiled, “I think I accidentally made her cry just now.”
“Yossie…” Ai looked at her with slightly red eyes, rid of tears.
“I guess what I felt that time was the true thing, huh?” the tomboy moved closer to Ai, suddenly intrigued with how soft and moist the younger’s lips looked at a closer view.
“That time… You mean my speech and our hugs from your graduation…?” the Morning Musume leader’s eyes became mesmerized by Hitomi’s, almost hypnotized completely if it weren’t for her head drawing closer to the older’s.
“Of course I mean that…” she licked her parched lips.
“I love you…” Ai closed her eyes slowly, savoring what was to come.
“I’ve been waiting all this time…” A small smile came, but that smile soon became lost as lips collided softly. Both of which were moving against each other’s, feeling like they were internally melting against the contact. Gradually, Ai felt herself being pushed down on the sofa so that Hitomi’s body was above her own. Crimson tainted the younger’s cheeks as Yossie’s tongue managed to slip into her mouth, exploring curiously. It was also then that Ai decided to push back with her own tongue, persistent into teasing the older.
And thus, time became frozen around them.
If someone tells me that Ai and Yossie were NOT intimate during the graduation ceremony with what they said and the hugs, I hope you get bitch-slapped by a six-handed goddess xD
