Shaving Poll: Manual or Electric?
« on: December 20, 2006, 04:28:01 AM »
Title says it all. Which do you prefer? Drawing blades across your face and suffer shaving burns/irritations after or have it quick and hassle free with a shaver? Personally I would prefer electric, sure it doesnt cut as clean as a blade but it takes a minute or less. Chicks dig the 5 o'clock shadow anyways.

Electric.

My facial hair grows so damn slow anyway(I think I barely need to shave once a month, seriously), it doesn't really matter to me. the electric does a good enough job for me.

Blades.

I use one of those million-blade razors. Gets my face nice and smooth, without any troubles.

Blades, been using them for the longest time.
If I want to stay clean shaven, every other day is what I gotta do, for my face and head.

In bathroom drawer right now, I have both.  Which one I use depends on how much time I have to do it or how lazy I'm feeling at the moment :P

Yeah, the electrics are fast, but not nearly as close.  At least, not the ones I've tried.

I've been using blades since I was in the 9th grade.  Today, I use a Gillette Mach 3.  Tried an electric shaver once, but didn't cut close enough.

Girls might like the 5 o'clock shadow look, but when I've never been a girl who liked the feel of hard stubby whiskers rubbed across her face or thighs.... XD

Same here.
Plus, I sit in the shower in the morning to wake up (Japanese showers are like a bathroom with a shower head) and shave in the shower, which isn't something you could do with an electric.

Use an electric for the nose hair though. :D

I also use razors. I'm currently using a Gillette Fusion. It's got a 5 blades in the head (one on the backside for fine detailing) and a vibration feature.

I've tried electrics before and they just irritate my skin and don't shave nearly as close as a traditional razor.

3 blades is already overkill 5 is just insane!!!!

I use a Gillette M3Power Nitro razor, which uses a standard 3 blade system but with a vibration feature, much like Damaramu's. Much rather prefer a close shave than go electric.

I use blades. I used an electric when I first started but it seemed really crap so I bought a 3 blade razor and I can't imagine using an electric again.

Blades. Even though electrics are convenient and less messy, manual blades just give me a better/smoother shave.

Norelco Cool Touch Electric.  Blades=cuts=blood.  Clean shaven, yes, irritation definitely
