“I heard it’s this huge ugly creature that’s all hairy with big teeth and big, scary red eyes!”
“What? What are you guys talking about?”
“Didn’t you hear?! This weird thing has been spotted around our apartments lately!”
“I hear it’s a dog woman or something like that from the others!”
“Do you think that it’ll be in the papers? I mean…Then people will come and try to look and then find out where we live.”
Reina raised an eyebrow, what was all this talk of some ‘Dog Woman’ that was wandering around the apartments? It was first mentioned by Risa in the dressing rooms about twenty minutes prior, now it was the talk of the apartments and everyone knew something about it.
But the wonky eyed teen couldn’t deny that she was interested in the topic along with the other girls. After all, within the past two weeks she found out that two members within Hello! Project were vampires, and then another member was a hunter. The idea of a dog woman wasn't very shocking to the girl at this point, but it did catch her interest, what if it was a member within Hello! Project?
After slipping away from the gossiping girls, Reina plopped down on her bed, trying to figure out a way to find out exactly who this dog woman was. She was almost positive it had to be someone in Hello! Project, it’d make the most sense after all.
But who? It was hard to narrow things down, considering her entire investigation would be based on gossip, and gossip coming from Risa no less. Knowing her, she could of seen some little boy dressed up like a dog and over exaggerated about it.
She sat up, shaking the thought of it being made up out of her head. If she were going to look into it, she had to believe it, right? Apparently, sightings of it have been seen for a few weeks now, but why so sudden?
“Mitsui-chan…” Reina mumbled, it made perfect sense. The dog woman started to appear just after Aika had moved into the apartments.
After thinking more on the subject, Reina became determined to prove that the new Morning Musume member was indeed a dog woman. It was just going to bug her if she didn’t do something about it. After all, the young girl is part DOG, how cool is that?
“Hmm…How am I going to do this?” Reina asked herself, scratching the back of her head as her wonky eyes scanned her rather messy room until they landed on a small round object.
“Of course! Dogs love tennis balls.” She smirked, picking up the ball and bouncing it a couple of times. “This will be pretty easy.” Reina put the ball into her sweat jacket’s pocket before walking out of her room in search of Aika.
It took a while for the teen to find Aika, but after searching many hallways she finally got the puppy in sight. “About time…” Reina mumbled, starting to pull the ball out of her pocket but someone quickly pulled her away into a room.
“What the hell!?” Reina snapped, turning to see who had stopped her in the middle of her plan only to find herself face to face with Miki. “Uh…”
Before Reina had a chance to say more, or run, Miki slammed her against the wall, fire in her eyes. “You…” She hissed. “Aya almost killed me last night again. It’s all your fault, and I’ll kill you for it.”
The words repeated over and over again in Reina’s head, she had no where to run, and Miki had her in a death lock and was closing in on her.
“Oh Tan! Be nice!” Aya said with a small laugh as she entered the room, giving Miki’s arm a light tug, causing the vampire to back off.
“You ruin all my fun.” Miki pouted, crossing her arms while she looked over at the wide eyed Reina, who looked as if she had seen death. “Well, at least I got some amusement out of it.” She grinned and sat down on a nearby chair.
“Tanaka-chan, it’s okay.” Aya put a hand on Reina’s shoulder, “I know she seems scary, but deep down inside she is actually a good person. Plus, it‘s my room, she has to follow my rules.”
Reina laughed a bit, trying to hide the fact that she almost had the crap scared out of her. “Yeah, like I really believe that.”
“It’s true.” Aya reassured with a smile, sitting down on the couch, patting the spot next to her for Reina to sit down.
“No, it’s not.” Miki said, stretching slightly. “I’m evil down to the bone, better deal with it.”
“How did you two work things out?” Reina asked, figuring it was best to not continue a conversation which consisted of the two topics of Miki and evil. (It didn’t sound like a good mix.)
“Aya loves me too much.” the vampire said simply. “After all, who would want to kill me?”
“Of course, because nobody wants to kill you.” Reina said with sarcasm as she sat down next to Aya.
“Tough talk for someone who had the shit scared out of them a few minutes ago.” Miki said with a smirk.
Ignoring Miki’s reply, Reina continued. “Is that how you and Maki made up? By deciding it was better to be friends than enemies?”
“Nah.” Aya leaned back. “We just got sick of trying to kill each other.”
Reina’s eyes widened, “Eh?”
“Yeah, we tried to kill each other in Gomattou.”
The door opened, and Maki walked into the room. “Don’t forget all those times in Nochiura Natsumi.”
“Ah, there you are.” Aya said, nodding. “Those were good times, weren’t they?”
Maki took a seat next to Reina, and gave her a kiss before speaking. “Very good times, sometimes I miss them.”
“Yeah, me too.” The hunter laughed.
“You two miss trying to kill each other?” the wonky eyed teen questioned with a raised eyebrow.
“Yeah, it was surprisingly funny.” The two replied at once, grinning like a couple of mischievous children.
“Why do I find that hard to believe?” Reina looked from one to the other.
“It really was funny.” Miki finally spoke since Maki entered the room. “I watched, it was pretty amazing they didn‘t kill themselves on accident in the process.”
“Yeah, but you don’t count.” Reina smirked slightly.
“Why not?” Miki asked, her tone clearly also said ‘I dare you to test me, bitch.’
“Because you think an otter standing up is amazing.”
“At least I know where to find Japan on a damn map…Plus, that otter was pretty damn cool!”
Although Reina was actually going to reply to Miki’s comment, she realized that Maki and Aya were chatting away about the many different attempts at killing the other.
“And that one time where I tried to stab you while you were sleeping on your couch, and you kept moving!”
“Yeah, and I woke up to find my couch with a million holes in it!” Maki laughed, “And that time I tried to drop you while we were a good three hundred yards from the ground and you just clung to my waist.”
“Then you tried to kick me off, but I managed to stay on for the whole two hours until you dropped me in a lake fifteen feet in the air.”
“I remember that.” Miki smirked, “I saw her fall into the lake, and walked her home while she was soaking wet in a white tee shirt.”
Aya threw a pillow at Miki, “And you wouldn’t let me have your jacket.”
“What can I say? It was a nice view, and cold out.” Miki laughed, throwing the pillow back, which ended up hitting Reina instead.
Reina threw the pillow with much force at the sub-leader before speaking, “That sure does sound like Fujimoto-san.” she said with a laugh, “Any other interesting stories of death attempts?”
“Plenty.” Maki grinned, catching the pillow before it slammed into Reina’s face, putting an end to their little war, “One time I tried to suck her dry, didn’t even get to her neck before she sent me flying into a glass case, then covered my wounds in crushed garlic.”
“Don’t you still have the scars from that one?” Aya raised an eyebrow, then nodded after Maki showed her elbow, which had two faint scars on it.
“Tsunku almost had a cow when he saw it.” Maki scratched the back of her head and stretching in her seat slightly.
“Can’t be as bad as the time I threw up for an hour because of those metal shards of a cross I put in your drink.” Aya pointed out, then explained to Reina and Miki. “I took small bits of a cross, after crushing it to a powder form, and put them in her drink, along with some potion I mixed up to make her throw up like crazy before it actually killed her.”
“I get this odd feeling you like torture…” Reina said, scooting towards Maki slightly.
“Nah, that was just when I started to get really annoyed with her not dying.” Aya laughed, “But then someone put more drinks on the table, and I accidentally grabbed the one that Maki was supposed to drink.”
“It was right before a concert too.” Maki nodded, “We thought we might have had to not let her perform.”
“Aya always screwed up while trying to kill Maki.” Miki grinned, “Maki only attempted about two times, or something like that, and just plain stopped figuring Aya wasn’t a threat because her plans never worked out.”
“I was just having a bad day.” Aya stated defensively.
“It went on for about two years.” Maki said with a laugh.
“Two years of bad days, eh? That’s gotta be a new record.” Reina added in, laughing as well. “Maybe you just really screw up a lot.”
“Yeah yeah…” Aya mumbled, “At least I didn’t make out with someone while I was on a mission to kill them.” The statement caused Maki to blush slightly, and then try to laugh it off.
“You did much more than just make out with me.” Miki grinned, “Shall I remind you exactly what happened?”
Reina stood up quickly, not wanting to hear the future topics in which consisted of Aya and Miki doing god knows what. “Well, I’m sorry for having to leave so soon, but I must go. I have some information I need to find out about Mitsui-chan.”
Maki nodded, standing as well. “Actually, I have a meeting I have to go to really soon.”
Both the members of GAM nodded, and Miki moved over to the couch next to Aya. “Good. Leave, I have business to do with Aya.” She gave a smirk to the couple and shooed them out of the room, slamming the door behind them.
“I’m afraid to think of what type of business they’re conducting.” Maki said with her nose slightly scrunched up.
“Agreed, nor do I want to find out.” Reina said with a nod, “What time do you get out of your meeting?”
“About six thirty.” Maki said with a sigh. “Because after one meeting, I have another right after it…” One could tell she was not looking forward to it, considering it was only one o’clock now.
“Sounds…boring.” Reina said, scratching the back of her head. “Well, give me a text if you want me to burst in and kidnap you or something, okay?”
Maki couldn’t help but to smile at the other, “Of course I will.” she said, “Well, I should really get going.”
“Have fun, don’t die of boredom.” Reina said, pulling Maki in for a hug and what was meant to be a quick kiss. (It wasn’t exactly what one could call quick though.)
“Eh hem! What do you think you two are doing?” a voice said from down the hall, causing the two to pull away from each other and looking in the direction from which the voice came from.
“Nacchi-san…” Reina laughed slightly nervously. “Uh…How might you be today?”
“There shouldn’t be kissing between girls!” Nacchi snapped, walking towards the couple, ready to pull their ears off.
“Run for it?”
“Run for it.”
And so, they ran in the opposite direction of the original face of Morning Musume. Although Reina really wasn’t the best runner in H!P, they still managed to escape the grasp of Natsumi, who just figured she’d give them both a lecture later.
“Well, now that we’re away from her, I must get going.” Maki said after kissing Reina quickly before headed towards her destination. “Try go stay away from Nacchi, okay?”
Reina nodded, “Of course.” she said, starting to walk down a different hall, back to searching for Mitsui who was nowhere in sight.
It, once again, took a rather long time for Reina to find the new Morning Musume member talking on the phone cheerfully while leaning against a wall, she ended up being in the hall that Nacchi had scared her and Maki from.
“Figures…” she growled, pulling out the tennis ball while making sure nobody was around watching her or anything creepy like that. Once nobody was in sight, Reina chucked the ball hard in Aika’s direction.
Reina watched the ball whiz past Aika, who didn’t follow it at all. Hell, she didn’t even seem to notice it.
“How can you not notice a tennis ball fly right past your face and hit-” she paused, realizing what she said, and did.
Miki seemed to of been going back to Aya’s room, and the ball hit the sub-leader in the side of the head with quite a bit of force. The groping demon turned around to see Aika walk by being blissfully oblivious to the situation and Reina with an ‘Oh shit, oh shit’ expression on her face.
“Oh, you think that’s funny?” Miki growled, walking towards the teen. “I’ll show you funny.” With that said, Reina bolted in the opposite direction, Miki tailing her.
It wasn’t long before Miki had caught her after all, Reina couldn’t run even if it would save her life, and Miki was sub-captain of the Gatas.
Surprisingly, it ended rather well. No pain whatsoever.
Well, somewhat well.
Reina ended up finding what it was like to be a dog, considering as she was backed up into a corner she tried to explain to Miki why the ball had hit her.
Miki didn’t take it so well, thinking Reina threw the ball because Miki was the dog-woman.
And that would explain why Reina had a leash and collar on, the leash was tied to a railing, and her hands were tied up so she couldn’t unhook the leash. Oh, and lets not forget the duck tape over her mouth.
It almost killed Reina’s dignity when Miyabi had found her there helpless.
“Um…Sempai?” the girl said, stepping closer while trying not to laugh at the former leader of Aa!. “Do you need some help?”
The wonky eyed teen nodded, feeling so…pathetic. At least they weren’t filming this.
“Okay…On three I’m going to take the duck tape off.” Miyabi took a hold an edge of the shiny tape which bound Reina’s mouth shut.
“One…Two.” Miyabi ripped the tape before she even had said three.
“GOD FUCKING DAMNIT THAT HURT!” Reina yelled, her accent coming out clearly (Miyabi didn‘t understand what on Earth the older had been saying, but she still managed to get the point.) Reina quickly put a hand to her mouth, not to muffle her crude words, but to rub the spot in which the tape had been.
Miyabi backed up slightly, not sure if she should be scared or laugh. “I’m sorry, Sempai.” she said, “I heard it was better to do it when the person isn’t expecting it.”
“Yeah yeah…” Reina growled slightly as the younger started to untie her hands and unhook the leash. “Look, you tell nobody of this, okay?”
“Okay.”
“Because if you do, just…Expect a very bad future…With pain, lots of pain.”
The Berryz member’s eyes widened as Reina spoke. “Y-yes, Sempai.”
“Good, now run off and have fun or something.” Reina said, happy that Miyabi actually believed her. (She’d never hurt a little kid.)
Miyabi quite literally ran off, figuring it would be best to put some distance between her and Reina.
As the wonky eyed teen stood, she thought of other plans to catch the little puppy girl. (Dog-woman seemed too…Not Aika-y for Reina’s taste.)
She walked into her room, there had to be something that would bring the puppy out of Aika. “Dogs like…meat. Like hell I’m giving mine up. Hmm…They also like dog treats!”
Reina mentally kicked herself for forgetting about the rather large bag of dog treats in the very back of her cabinets which was given to her when she had to follow that damn dog around while Ai and Risa got good food (even though she ended up getting food as well, but that wasn’t the point.)
“Easy enough,” Reina peeked into the bag, looking at the cookie-looking dog treats, “If she eats them and likes them, then point proven.”
She closed the bag and left her room once again to go find Aika. This time, it was much easier, Aika was in the lunchroom along with many other Hello! Project artists.
“Mitsui-chan.” Reina said with a smile as she walked up to the younger. “Hey, I really don’t like these type of cookies, so I figured you could have them.”
“Thank you, Tanaka-san.” Aika smiled, taking the bag, oblivious to the fact that they were dog biscuits.
“No problem,” Reina said with a nod, watching her open the bag, “So, like it in Morning Musume so far?”
Before Aika had a chance to reply, or eat a cookie, Miki came out from what seemed like nowhere, and snatched the bag. “Thank you Tanaka.” she said with a smug grin, “I was really craving cookies.”
“Oh, Fujimoto-san, if you really want the cookies, I guess you can have them if you really want to.” Aika said, walking off. “But thank you for the thought, Tanaka-san.”
Reina laughed slightly, backing up while Miki shoved a cookie into her mouth, pausing in mid-bite with her eyebrows knitted together in a confused manner. She held up the bag, reading the label, then ran to the nearest trashcan while Reina ran for protection.
After Miki spat out the dog treat, she started to chase Reina again, this time yelling “I’LL SHOVE THESE UP YOUR ASS!”
Luckily, Reina found somebody to hide behind from Miki’s wrath.
Unfortunately, that somebody was Nacchi.
“I’ve been looking for you.” Nacchi said, turning to Reina. “I would like to have a talk with you, Tanaka-chan.”
“Uh…Sorry Nacchi-san but right now isn’t a good time.” Reina said, keeping her eyes on Miki, who was drawing closer. “But remind me to thank you for your help.”
“My help on what?” Nacchi asked, but soon found out as she was shoved into Miki, causing them both to fall to the floor as Reina headed for the nearest exit.
[Later that Night]
Reina groaned slightly, holding her stomach while leaning against the brick wall outside of the apartments. “Ugh…I can’t believe she shoved all those dog treats down my throat…I was crapping on the toilet for hours and my stomach STILL hurts!”
It turned out, Miki still had managed to catch her. Hell, the vampire even pulled out some of her futsal moves on the teen, AKA - Reina got Miki’d. From that moment on, one could simply guess what had happened that caused Reina the pain she is suffering now.
Getting a grip on herself, she picked up a large net. (The same net Yossie and Nono used to capture possible Sempais for Aika.) This plan was much safer: simply wait for Aika to come by at night in her little puppy mode, and catch her in the act.
Reina waited for a few minutes, armed and ready. Luckily it wasn’t too long before she heard footsteps, she was cautious at first, thinking she might catch somebody else on accident, but it wasn’t until she heard the sound of barking that she jumped to catch the fuzzy monster.
Well, she did catch a monster. Just not the one she was looking for.
“Tanaka…” An angry Miki growled, really getting sick of the wonky eyed teen’s little games.
“Shit…” Reina said, starting to back up, but knowing very well that she couldn’t outrun Miki.
The groping demon stepped forward, ready to kill Reina, but ended up falling. Thus, causing Reina to laugh, “At least the net worked.”
Wrong thing to say.
Miki pulled the net off of her, and back Reina into a corner.
“Umm…I can explain?”
Miki didn’t bother to listen, she spun Reina around and slammed her hand hard on the teen’s bottom. “GET LOST!”
Reina didn’t need to be told twice, considering she just got spanked by Miki, and started to run off to her room, cursing the entire time about her ass.
“That’s going to leave a bruise…” Reina mumbled, rubbing the sore spot. This was just not a good day for her, but at least she managed to grab the net before fleeing to her room.
“She’s going to kill me one of these days…” the teen opened up her door, walking into the hallway. Once again, in search for Aika, all while being extra sure she wouldn’t run into Miki.
