Ahh, The Historian was bad. A million pages leading up to the dumbest ending ever. Dracula must be cringing XD

Spook by Mary Roach (I want to read the whole book today, I'm only on page 50 or so)

I'd prefer to keep this thread about books.... And not to let it fall to another useless postwhoring thread! I would also like to know something about the book you're reading or read, maybe it'll encourage people read or not to read the same book.

I just started Dan Simmons' The Fall of Hyperion, which is a sequel to his novel Hyperion, winner of Hugo and some other awards. The story series has been worsening since the beginning (which is great) of the first book, and it doesn't look good for the book I'm currently reading. But I still have hope :)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, because I have not read it in ages
Having a hard day? Send me a PM and I'll create a parody of something! It's my policy to make you laugh. If you don't, I will do it again. Until you crack a smile :)

Do you read more than one book concurrently? o_o

Anyways, I'm also reading Catch-22 again. Just flip into a random page and start reading. It's fun in small doses as well, so it provides some entertainment. I'm really enjoying Gorgias too. The debate is intensifying; Socrates is about to lay the smackdown on Polus after he fails to explain his position and repeatedly ignores Socrates' questions \o/

No, Hyperion is the first book of the series, often called "Hyperion cantos" and the The Fall of the Hyperion, which is the book I'm currently reading, is the second.

My last post was indeed a little cryptic, but I meant that the story had a great beginning in the first book but kept worsening after that. However there hasn't been any change to this in the second book ..yet. I don't know if this  is any clearer. Well something like that, read the books they're good... I guess.
