I just finished "The Rule of Four". Which was actually really interesting until the whole 'mystery' was revealed. Ah well. Looking for something new now.

"The scientific outlook" by Bertrand Russell. It isn't as confusing as I expected it to be, it just has some ideas that I've never seen before, and THAT is confusing/shocking XD.

I'm reading a manual to my motherboard right now actually... next I have to get started on the repair manual for my 4a-gze. Its fun, but its not at the same time. I'd rather be using my stuff rather than working on it.

Instead of turning this thread to a pointless postwhoring I bring up discussion!

^ love that series =D

Is that series really good? I heard it has almost every fantasy cliche in it :) The fact that it was written by a 11-year-old doesn't sound very convincing either. :)

However it's one of the rare english books sold here so I might give it a try. Should I?

Romance of the Three kingdoms, a Chinese historical novel based on the Three Kingdoms Era (189-240). known as one of the Four Great Classical Novels in Chinese Literature.  it's a great story, based on a true story, that has inspired the chinese and the asian cultures for many years til this day.  many of the characters are heroes in China, especially Guan Yu, one of the best known Chinese historical figures throughout East Asia.  if ur interested in chinese and asian culture and history, i recommend u read this book.  currently almost done, it took a long time cuz they're over a 100 chapters, around 120-150.

EDIT: a quote about ROTK from wikipedia.org - It must be understood that one of the greatest achievements of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms is the extreme complexity of its stories and characters. The novel is studded with numerous "mini-stories", many of which could be developed into full-length novels in their own right (the Battle of Red Cliffs and the treatment of Guān Yǔ by Huá Tuó being two examples). As such, the following effort only serves as a very high level summary of the entire story.

A funny note, "Today Guan Yu is still widely worshipped by common folks. In Hong Kong, a shrine for Guan Yu is located in each police station. Though by no means mandatory, most Chinese policemen worship and pay respect to him. Seemingly ironic, members of the Triad gangs and the Hung clan worship Guan Yu as well. This exemplifies the Chinese belief that a code of honor, epitomized by Guan Yu, exists even in the underworld."
all info found on wikipedia.org.
