hehehe i just got my copy of the cd yesterday  :jerkoff: but i dun listen to it yet, since my internet has been down for weeks, i dun know how inner child sounds... so im glad my cd arrive gonna hear it tonight and watch the face vers too

The sales aren't too suprising unfortunately. They should have learned you can do ballads, but they need to be saved for albums or b-sides(those ones seem to be better imo anyways :p). It's dumb because it always seems to set Maki's sales back. I mean, what did they expect.

Now they might have ruined momentum for a album if thats next.

I do like secret a little more and more after listening to it.

I've heard alot of crazy speculation as to why she sold so low.

One said that it was because of the Kago scandal. (Wtf?) ANd another said that it was because of JunJun and LinLin (LOL).

The theory that made the most sense to me though, was the one that said that H!P became complacent with releasing ballads, after the surprising success of Aruiteru. Which was why Berryz had Very Beaty, and Maki got Secret. Ruining both of their runs of strong single after strong single. But Aruiteru was an exception I'm guessing, because ballads usually sell like crap, and they should know that by now.

if secret was a tie up song with any popular dorama, the single would 've sold a little more.
although i still doubt that any H!P ballad will sell strongly, since normal public associate H!P with happy genki songs. The fact that maki changed her image is just to please the older H!P fans.
A top 10 spot isn;t that bad though. She has now 3 consecutive top 10 hits in a row!

I really wish "Inner Child" had been the a-side of the single. I thought the song was fantastic.

Her lowest selling single to date, but you know, one single can't stop her and we all know that  I'm sure we'll get bowled over with another single or album in time.

Now see, if "Inner Child" were the a-side, I think the sales would have been higher as mostly everyone agrees. Haha.
