I'm still undecided about it. We were promised some huge shake ups in writing, but the trailer seems to give more of the same i.e. Jack goes against an enemy he once knew who holds some secret weapon to cause mass destruction. Don't get me wrong I'll still watch it, the action looks great, but I'll go in with low expectations this time round. I mean, bringing a character back from the dead just screams out of lazy writing. I'd much rather prefer a small-scale threat. Season 1 is regarded as one of the best, as it shows you don't need a 'WMD of the day' to create drama and suspense.

hate to tell you guys, but the season's being delayed. thanks to that stupid writer's strike that does some of the shows we watch..

hm I can understand why the writers would go on protest, but ultimately, nobody emerges as a victor in this. Already Heroes will have to have a season finale earlier than expected, there's talks of the next season of Lost being cut from 16 episodes to 8, production on Battlestar Galactica has been halted, and now 24's been delayed.

I don't like the idea of them writing the story as they go, and would much prefer if they took their time and wrote the whole thing from start to finish, before they went into production..

I remember something about season 1 where they had also only the first half of the show ready and changed some things for the second part based on 'feedback'?

I think they did it with most of the seasons: if people find out to early what they are working to, they change the writing to 'add' something.

I was kinda expecting that. I was disappointed in last season, and this season wasn't looking good from the previews. I hope they use the extra year to rewrite things and improve it.

Fox is developing a two-hour ''24'' prequel that would air this fall and help bridge the two-year gap between the series' sixth and seventh seasons

hate to double-post..but two big news!

first, mark November 23rd on your calendar..the prequel movie for Season 7

and Jon Voight will be the main bad guy for the season(he'll appear in the last half of the season)
