It can be done on any OS that has telnet (which means ALL) I do it on Linux. Watching Star Wars on ASCII is fun!!!

Holy crap! That's the geekiest thing I've ever seen! I love it!

If I wanted to tell my Mac-using friend how to access this, what instructions would I give him? Anybody know?

I can't believe someone made a whole ascii version of star wars. The  person did make the whole thing right?(I didn't watch the whole thing)

Perhaps back when I was younger it would have kept me entertained longer than that. But wow. Just wow. I can't believe someone would actually do that.

Star Wars - Started 10:44 PM, Ended 11:01 PM, it stops right after Chewbaka thumps the guard in the detention center.

I wonder what the Japanese thought of chewBAKA's name.

In Japanese, chuu means faithfulness, or loyalty, and baka means idiot.  So Chuubaka was the faithful idiot who was with Han Solo.

Since OSX is based on UNIX, they should have telnet burried in there somewhere.

For the really old Macs:

For Mac OS 7/8/9:

In OS X you use the Terminal program and the telnet command similar to any other *nix related OS.

It is an ASCII Art render of the Star Wars Episode IV movie presented via a telnet terminal connection.
