The PCR reaction (allows you to amplify DNA) -> the biotech revolution

The Cell phone

It makes our lives easier by;

driving down the freeway weaving in and out of traffic while text messaging

ruining our theater experiences

cheating on test

taking pics with camera phones that cost expensive but have very low quality

silicon microprocessors which brought about cheap fast compact digital multimedia devices

mobile telephones for poorly hardwired / remote regions, for many places it is first time phone is available at all!

youtube : for simply producing a reliable advert lite video host which somehow changed the world?!

blogs which also changed media forever.

I cant think of any recent scientific break throughs?

Nuclear fusion is coming along, that will COMPLETELY change the world if developed properly. = free safe abundant clean energy for all!
