See, that explanation makes perfect sense when you say it ; Grrr I hate shortened words and particularly katakana expressions (like 擬音語 and 擬態語 T_T;). I'm just lousy at them, and very few appear in my dictionary. I typed コロン into my dictionary, and only entry it gave me was (as expected) "colon" 8D.

^ You'll get used to it the more you read blog entries (teenage/early 20s girl japanese is like a completely different language T-T;; ), not that I'm used to it at all either ^^;;

A few things that might help you out when you're stuck:
Onomatopoeia dictionary (which is where I got that definition from)
Rikaichan plugin for Firefox

Risa's blog is so completely adorable, in ways that Ai's and even Sayu's can't compete with. I'm not sure why I think so... I just do...
