Yay new single. It's a power ballad, kind of different coming from them. It has this metal sound backed with a dramatic sweeping orchestra, plus Chopper slapping. Sounds interesting. Feelings are mixed, but I'll wait until I hear the whole thing.

Rina's new guitar looks pretty cool. Has a pickguard that covers the whole body with little holes on it, lol.

Preordered it before they put the preview + video up, so I'll just wait until I get the disc to make any opinion.

Funny how they have those ultra blond pics up in their magazine, when she just changed her hair color to black a couple days ago.

And since you linked that picture from it, probably should mention it for people that don't check their site much. They started a mini-web "magazine" about themselves on their site - http://pinpan.jp/?p=magazine Has small photoshoots with each member, a 50 questions and answer segment for each member (the two for Nana-a and Koga are at about 6x the bitrate of the first two they made for Mayou and Rina) plus an interview with the whole group. Keep meaning to translate some of it but other stuff has been sucking up my time.

The magazine thing is pretty cool. The 50 questions thing is pretty interesting. I understood about half of them, but the rest... yeah, lol. I hope they have some footage from their shows and such in the future.

Made a quick sub file for the Rina Q&A. Download the wmv from their site - http://pinpan.jp/wma/rina_0_1.asf - and stick them in the directory together.

Timing is a bit loose since I'm bad at it. It'd be better if there was a subbing program that visualized the audio for you like IIDX notes or PIU arrows or something ^^; Not unwatchable, but could be better. Also not entirely sure I got the place name right for where she said she wanted to go, but since it was a random place I really didn't care.

If anyone wants I'll do a hardsub of the wmv and stick it up for direct DL and on youtube.

Probably do the other ones too, depending on when I have time. Koga one (the Leah Dizon part cracked me up) for sure, Mayou likely, Nana-a possibly.

Has anyone tracked down the PV for Dog Star? I remember watching a preview on the official site, but I've never seen the full thing.
The new single is interesting. Didn't quite like the sample from the site, but hopefully the b-sides are good

Just previewed the new single on their website and I feel the same way... PinPan has become my favourite J-band (outside of H!P) and so far I've loved everything by them. This one is no exception, but I'm not 'wowed' by it just yet... Waiting for my copy of the CD to come in to give it a better review

I do love that we get 4 new songs on the single, just like with 'DOG STAR' ~ There's bound to be a gem in there somewhere!

Anyone else disappointed with the new single? Actually, the single before this one was pretty bland too. Still like the full album, so I hope they return to that formula for the next release.

Yeah the recent singles don't really catch my attention as their album did. I did like Dog Star though. The graduation song isn't as cool or fun, but I think it sorta fits the ocassion. It's one of those graduation songs done in PinPan's style.
