I wrote the letter when they started accepting them. I think it was the day before the first broadcast, so about a month ago. Honestly, I was giggling like a crazed lunatic too much to listen closely, but she did answer that it's Yossy. Then proceeded to go into how Yossy, Yossi, and Yossie would each be pronounced.
OH and Mai read my letter in an American accent and then Yossy apologized for how Mai read it. Seriously.

Other than that, I dunno. I hear her say "Jen-san" and die in a fangirlish pile of goo.

Congrats Almond! I downloaded the latest Guts10 Gatas just to listen to that segment.

I loved that part where Yocchan apologized for Mai-chan's use of an American accent instead of reading it normally. When Mai-chan said you're a 25 yr old female, listen to what Yossy says.

It's good you asked this question about how to write her name. I always change the spelling in English since she uses an unconventional way of writing it in Japanese. When Yossy was pronoucing each way of saying her nickname, I can't confidently say I could recognize the subtleties between them. Maybe she could do it in video format so I can be more clear.

After listening to her talk about it I find it kind of enlightening. Based on what she said she's understand her name and is also one of those people who subscribe to the writing style where you give letter combinations the practical writing markers that is if I remember my linguistic class is that si is pronounced shi because there is no classical sound achieveable phoenetically for the romanji combinations si. In that style (and not considering loan words cause my prof likes advertising that there is a next level for this class so he didn't tell me the answer) writing ti would be chi and tu would be tsu cause in classical japanese they are part of the ta-line (ta chi tsu te to). Anyways the point is she's taking the interpretation that way, and using the y to point out the si sound over the shi sound. Fascinating!

I for one am still probably going to use Yossie...just cause I like the look...but I could imagine after this Wiki/theppn/every reference place with her in it started editing their entries to say Yossy...lol

it's nice to know that Yossie's given thought and actually has an idea with how she'd romanize her name, i find it pleasantly enlightening, too! i should have paid more attention to my Japanese language elective at university...

(now in the middle of all of this, im trying to remember and am not sure if ive seen one of her photos or was it a poster with everybody's autograph written on it and her's was written as Yossy or not or if it was just unclear handwriting which made it look like "Yossy")...
