Chapter 13

Mayu pov

I was sitting at one of the benches in the park, looking at the sky, hoping that  the incident happened in the toilet was just a bad dream.

I felt so guilty even though I did nothing wrong.

Should I tell yuki about it? Will she be mad? Will she hate me? Will she ignore me?

I felt so scared, scare at the fact that yuki might hate me and probably break up with me.

I felt so lost. I didn't know what to do or who to turn to.

After some thoughts, I've decided to keep it to myself. I can't afford to tell yuki. I can't lose her.

I will pretend that nothing happened. Everything will remain the same. After agreeing with this, I head home. Needing to rest after a disastrous day, hoping it will just disappear. 

The next day~~~~               

I woke up earlier than usual, probably unable to get much sleep.

I went to my bathroom, looking myself in the mirror. My eyes looks so dead. Eyebags can be seen. I decided to put a little make up today to cover it up.

After bathing and some preparation, I take a deep breath and sigh. Slapping my face slightly with both hands, forcing up a smile, making sure everything looks normal before heading to school.

On the way, I saw yuki. I shouted her name but she kinda ignored me.

Strange. Usually she would run to me and greet me. Maybe because she didnt heard me? Im not sure. Well I better get going.

Walking along the corridor, I entered my classroom. Everything seems normal. Unknowingly, my eyes glaze over at yuki's seat.

Weird. She wasn't there. Was she late? I thought. But that's impossible. I saw her walking to school way earlier than me so she can't be late.

Maybe she skip class? That is also unlikely because yuki never skips class.

Maybe something happened to her? Im starting to worry. Unable to go find her now as the teacher is here.

Guess I have to wait till lessons are over then.

After waiting miserably, it's finally break time. I saw yuko and haruna walked to my direction.

Hey sis! Wanna join us for lunch? Yuko asked. Where's yuki? Haruna asked. Sorry yuko, Im not free now. Im not sure myself neither, haruna. I said.

I left  class without saying much. Yuko and haruna was left dumbfounded.

I went searching around the school, places we usually hangout but still no sign of her.

After almost all hope was lost, I saw her, walking towards a room. I ran to her, shouting her name.

She saw me but she didn't stop. In fact, she walked even faster.

I ran with all my might and manage to go in to the room. It looks like a empty storage room. Still trying to catch my breath, I looked at her.

She doesn't look really happy. After catching my breath, I spoke. Where were you this morning? You wasn't in class for lessons. I asked.

She hesitated for a moment before she spoke. I don't want to see you. Yuki said in a cold tone.

Why? What's wrong? I asked, not really sure of the current situation.

You should know why. You know it clearly better than me. Yuki said, in a tone that was kinda scaring me.

I knew it? Knew what? I thought. Don't tell me she knew about the incident? I started to panicked. But how? I remembered no one was there.

Being optimistic, I thought she was joking. H-hey yuki, you've got me. You win. I was scared. You can stop joking now. I said.

I walked towards her, wanted to hug her but she step back.

Don't touch me. Yuki said. Her face looks very disappointed.

what happened? What did I do? I asked again, this time, my tone was a little higher.

Stop acting. You should what you did. Yuki said, getting a little mad.

Tell me. Tell me what I did. How would i know if you didn't tell me? I asked, getting mad also.

I SAW YOU! Yuki shouted, and slap me. Hard.

My face was thrown to the side. Feeling the stings, my hand unconscious went to my face. I looked at her, still holding my face.

Tears was seen on her face.

I saw you yesterday in the toilet with a girl. Both of you kissed. The girl confessed and yet you didn't even reject.

How can you do this to me? How can you betray me? Yuki said, crying.

I was speechless. She knew about it. And here I thought I can get away with it if I kept it a secret.

Yuki was about to walked away, I grabbed her wrist but she swipe my hand off. I hugged her back. Unable to hold it anymore, I broke down. I cried badly.

Please yuki. Don't leave. Let me explain. I said while sobbing at her back. She stopped moving, waiting for me explain. I told her everything.

I didn't accept her confession. I rejected her. You probably didn't saw it because it took me a while for my brain to process everything before I was able to speak  as I was too shocked. I explained.

Yuki didn't say anything at first but later spoke.

Even though this is the truth. Im still disappointed. You didn't even bother to let me know.

I don't wanna see you. I can't face you now. Yuki said, release my arm away from her and walked off.

My legs can't take it anymore and gave way. I kneeled on the floor, crying like there is no tomorrow. I'm sorry. I said repeatedly.

Back with another chapter. Sorry it took so long. Wasn't in the mood to write. Im thinking that the next update would also take quite long time to be updated. I hope not.

Chapter 14

Mayu pov

Its has been a couple of days since that little incident happened. We hadn't talked to each other for days. Yuki had been ignoring me ever since then.

I'm not sure if we are still together. Yuki didn't mention about breaking up. I really hope she don't. I'm not sure if I can take it or not. I just can't live without her.

She can ignore me, avoid me, get angry or anything but just don't break up with me. Just thinking about it makes me wanna cry.

I've been hanging out with yuko and haruna lately. Even though yuko knew something was wrong, she didn't asked. That's what I like about yuko.

She knew where the line is, when to asked or when not to. Haruna was different, she's an air-head. So one, day when we were having lunch, she
suddenly ask.

Mayu.. where's yuki? Why aren't you with her? Haruna asked bluntly. I stop eating. Still looking at my plate of food, unable to answer such a sudden question.

Yuko also stop eating and stared at both haruna and me, waiting for my answer. I remain silent, unable to looked at them.

Ahaha... let's continue eating. Food is getting cold. yuko forced a laugh, trying to get rid of the awkwardness.

I... we fought. I mumbled, causing them to look at me. They waited for me to continue.

What happened? Yuko asked softly, unable to contain that question anymore.

It happened during our training few days back. We were having a short break. A girl came and gave me water. I was grateful of her.
Wanted to thank her properly again but she was gone. She left a letter, saying that she wanted to meet me privately at the toliet.
So, after training when we were about to go home, Yuki and I went locker to collect our stuffs. I didn't went home with yuki.
I told her I have other matter to settle. After, I went to the toilet, looking for that girl. At first I thought it was a prank as no one was there.
I was about to leave but she appeared.

Suddenly, I was being pushed against the wall and she kissed me. It happened too fast. She then confessed to me after. I was too shocked to speaked
but I rejected her in the end. She ran off crying.

I felt kinda bad but I won't betray yuki. I love her too much. I explained everything to yuko and haruna. So how did yuki know about this? Haruna asked.

I wanted to keep it a secret. I didn't want yuki to know. Im afraid she might be mad but she knew. Yuki saw everything except the rejection part.

She thought I accepted the girl. I told her I rejected the girl but she was still mad. Im not sure why. I explained to haruna.

Mayu baka! Yuko flicked my forehead. Itai! I winced in pain, grabbing my forehead. Do you know why she's mad with you? Yuko asked.

Its because you tried to keep it as a secret. You didn't trust yuki. Yuko said. I DO trust yuki. I argued. Then why didn't you tell her? Yuko challenged.

I... im speechless. See? You can't even answer me. Yuko sigh.

What should I do? I asked, facing the table with both hands grabbing the side of my head. Just let her calm down a bit.

When everything is settle, I will have you both together to have a chat. Yuko said. Un.. I nodded, unable to find a better way than this.

Don't worry.. Yuki will forgive you. She's just angry that's all. Haruna gave me a hug. Arigato yuko-nee, haruna. I thanked them, grateful of having such a
good sis and friend.


Yuki pov

The summer wind breeze through the trees, making the leafs as well as my black raven hair sway back and forth.

A frown was intact on my face as I look through the fence on the school rooftop. Loneliness is what my heart is feeling now.

Haiz... how i miss mayu. Maybe I too harsh on her. Maybe because I was having a huge mood swing at that point of time. I should go apologise for my behaviour.

This can't go on forever right? Yosh! I will go her home tonight! I said as I raise my fist in the air.

Evening, mayu's house

Mayu pov

Opening my house door, stepping in the house. Tadaima~ I lazily said with no emotion.

Slipping my bag of my shoulder and place it at coffee table. I slowly loosen my neck tie and walk to my room to get some clothes to change after bathing.

While I was picking my pajamas, a thunder was heard. Ahhh! I jumped up, slightly shocked from the thunder.

Guess tonight will be raining. Better bath in hot warm. I said to no one and walk to the bathroom.

After bathing, I sat on my bed, leaning against the bed frame as I read my book. All of a suddenly, the door bell rang.

Hmm? Who could it be at this hour? Could it be yuko? Oh! I forgot to mention that yuko is spending a couple of nights

At haruna's house. She probably forgot to take some stuff. I got up, head down the stairs and walk to the door.

When I opened the door, I was shocked. The person standing at the door was someone I didn't expect to come. The person was..

Yu-yuki?! I exclaimed as I stared at her. She was badly drenched, from head to toe. It must be from the rain. Yuki just smile awkwardly.

She can be seen shivering. Come in! You must be cold. I'll go get you a towel. I ran towards the bathroom and get a clean towel.

I came back and wrap the towel around her, hopefully to warm her up a bit. I head to my room to get a set of pajamas and hand it to her.

I told her to use bathroom and bathe before she catch a cold. Yuki nodded and thank me.

While she's bathing, I went to the kitchen to prepare 2 hot chocolate and some snacks.

When I return to the living room, yuki was already sitting on the sofa, waiting for me.

I handed her a cup of hot chocolate while I placed the snacks on the table. Awkwardness can be felt in the air and both of us kept quiet. I was the first to speak.

Emmm... did you need anything? Or did you want to say something to me? You could have wait when there isn't any rain. I asked softly.

Yuki looked at me and sigh. It was not suppose to rain today. I saw the weather forecast on tv. I was stupid enough to thrust the weather girl so I didn't
brought an umbrella.

While I was on the way to your house, I rained suddenly. I have no choice to get caught in the rain. Yuki explained. So.... you came here to..? I asked.

I came here to apologise. For my behaviour and attitude. I shouldn't have put all the blame on you. Its also partly my fault.

I shouldn't have left you alone that day. I should have stayed with you even if you told me to go home.

This wouldn't have happened if I was by your side. Im really sorry. Yuki apologised.

Don't apologise. I said. Its not your fault. If only I have ignored the letter,This wouldn't happened. And it was my fault because i tried to keep it from you.

I didn't have the guts to tell you. Im the worst. Even though you thrusted me.  Im really really sorry. I bowed as my tears are flowing down my eyes.

Its okay. I forgive you. Yuki smiled as she cupped my right cheek. Using her thumb to wipe my tears off.

I hugged her tightly, afraid to lose her again. Yuki gently pat on my back, calming me down. I felt so comfortable in her arms.

After awhile, I released myself from her embrace and stared at her. I miss you so much. I said to her. I miss you too. Yuki replied.

The gap between us gets shorter and shorther until our lips touches each other. Missing each other touch for so long.

Our kiss has turn into a passionate one. Feeling yuki's tongue on my lip, asking for access. I parted my lips and let her tongue in.

The tongue battle has begin as our tongue dances inside our mouth. We broke apart as we are lagging of oxygen.

We were panting, exchanging our hotBreath. Regaining my breath, I spoke. Stay here for the night. Its already very late.

Yuki nodded and wanting to continue from where we stopped. I stopped her by cupped her mouth with my hand before reaching my lip.

Lets go to my room. I whispered to her seductively. Yuki smiled and carry me in bridal style to my room.


Moans and screams could be heard afterwards.

Chapter 15

Yuki pov   

The glorious sun beamed its ray through the thin glass panel and gently hits my face with its warmness. I slowly opened my eyes and stretch my body slightly.

I could feel soreness from my whole body. Its must have been from our heated sessions last night. I tilt my head to looked at the person beside me.

Her innocent face looks like an angel sent from heaven. Using my elbow to support my head, I stared at her beautiful face features.

Her sleeping face is so sexy. Her lips are so tempting, making me wanna have a taste. I quickly stole a kiss from her. My action seems to woke her.

Her eyes are half-opened. She glanced at me and gave me a smile. Even though its just a simple smile, it made my heart skipped a beat.

Ohayo. She greeted me. Ohayo. I greeted back and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

nngh.... mayu stretched her body and slide up straight to lean on the bed frame, using both her arm to support her weight.

I adjusted my position so that I can lie on her lap. Mayu stroked my head gently while I close my eyes, enjoying this moment.

Though its already morning but none of us wanted to leave the bed.

A while later......

Mayu.... did you decrease the air-con temperature? I'm freezing.. I asked. Hmm? I didn't decrease the temperature. The air-con was off long time ago.
Mayu said.

Honto ni? Ahh ahh chooo.. I asked and sneezed. Are you okay? Mayu asked as she touched my face. OMG! You're burning! You're having a fever! Mayu
panicked.

I think I got caught in the rain for too long yesterday. Now I'm having a cold. I said weakly. Monday is our annual tournament. How are you gonna play when you're in this condition? Mayu asked.

Don't worry. Today is only Saturday. I will get well by then. I assured her. How sure are you sure? Mayu questioned.

With you taking care of me, I'm very sure. I said with confidence. Who says I'm gonna take care of you? Mayu said, acting so tundere.

Ehhh... you're not gonna nurse me? I asked, showing a very sad face.

O-of course I'll nurse you, you baka. Mayu said. Heheh. I smiled sheepishly. Go rest now. I will cook you some porridge. Be right back. Mayu said and
make her way to the kitchen. I smiled, glad to have such a good girlfriend.

Soon, mayu is back with a bowl of porridge. I was going to take the bowl from her but she stopped me. Let me feed you. Mayu said.

I have no choice but to obey her.. She scoop one spoonful of porridge, gave it a blow and fed me the porridge. This goes on until that bowl is finish.

Mmm... this is so good. I love it. I said as I enjoy my last spoon. Glad you like it. I was afraid you would dislike it because its my first time cooking this.
Mayu said.

You're such a good cook! I should learn it from you sometime. I said. No problem. Mayu smiled.

Mayu have been nurse me the whole day. Changing my towel on my forehead every now and then, making sure to keep my temperature low.

Cleaning my body and change my clothes. Feeding me like I'm a baby. I feel so spoiled by her but I like it. It feels nice to be spoiled once in a while.

Yuki... mayu called me. Hmmm? I mumbled. How are you feeling now? Mayu asked. Better. I smiled and pulled her for a hug. Thank you for taking care
of me. I said as I kiss her forehead.

Just thank you only? Mayu said.

When I'm well, I will spoil you like you wanted. I chuckled. I will love you with all my heart. I assured her. Promise me? Mayu asked. I promise. I smiled.

We seal our promise with a kiss.

No one's pov

Crowds roaring as the tournament is beginning. Cheerleaders is cheering for their own schools. All of us are warming up.

Alright guys! Now the first match would probably be no problem for you guys. I've seen the way they play when they're practicing. It can't even match Our standard. The coach explained.

Mayu, I have fate in you. Lead your team and trash whoevers in your way. Yes sir! Mayu shouted, feeling pumped. Alright guys! Let's huddle up!

On a count of three, we shouted team AKB. Ready? One, two, three! TEAM AKB!!! The first match has started. The ball is on opponent's team.

Yuki and mayu are the striker. The opponent's ace got the ball, jump and smacked the ball across the net but mayu dived towards the ball just in time to save it.

Mayu passed the ball to yuki. Yuki jumped and smashed the ball to the floor. The opponent failed to save the ball. *whistle blow* The point goes to Team akb!! The referee shouted!

The match goes on. This match seems pretty easy for team akb. After 20 minutes of battle. Team akb won this round! The scores are 6-1.

10 minutes break is given before the second match. Mayu's team went back to the bleachers to have a quick rest.

Good job out there! The coach complemented us. Alright, the next team is a little stronger then the previous one. You guys gotta keep your heads up. Should be no problem if you continue your playing styles. The coach said.

Alright guys! Good luck! The coach shouted. The second match has began. Team akb got the ball. Yuki passed the ball to another girl.

The other girl passed to mayu. Mayu jumped and striked a speed ball across. The opponent don't even stand a chance. As expected from the ace.

The match continue on. After 35 minutes of game play, team akb won! This time with a score of 5-2.

10 minutes break is given before the final match. Team akb went to drink some water and relax at the bleachers.

Great job team! The last opponent is not gonna be easy. They are from a prestigious school with top training from international coaches.

Their skills are horribly excellent. They already won the annual tournament for two consecutive years. If they win this year, they will be crown as queens
of volleyball.

By then, they would be unstoppable just to keep up their title.

So, we are going to defeat them. I know it's too much to ask from you guys but we've trained too much just to wait for this day.

We are going to bring glory to our school. It's now or never. We gonna give all we've got. Gonna keep our heads in the game. We are not gonna lose. We
shall win! The coach gave his final speech.

Alright! Let's huddle. Team AKB lets go!! Yoshhh!! The team cheered.

The final has started. As team akb is preparing their positions, the opponent smirked evily at them. Mayu glared back at them.

Nee... mayu, they don't looked simple. I think we should keep our heads up. Yuki whispered to mayu. Just beware. Look around your surrounding.
They might play tricks with us. Mayu answered. Hai! Yuki said.

The ball is with the opponent's team. They did a regular pass and smack the ball regularly. Mayu, yuki and the rest of the team finds it suspicious.

This goes on until team akb scores two point while the opponent scores nothing. Our coach calls for a time-out and was given 20 minutes.

The team ran back to the bleachers. Coach! Did you saw the match? Are you sure they are really strong? They seems to be playing normally. Mayu asked.

I'm not sure either. They looked very cunning. You guys have to keep your guard up. The coach said. Hai! The team shouted.

Mayu notice yuki is panting slightly harder then usual. Her face is also quite flushed. Mayu walked towards yuki and touched her face.

Yuki! Your face is hot. Your fever is back. Mayu panicked.

Don't worry. I'm still able to play against them. But.. yuki... mayu was unable to finish her sentence when yuki cut her. No buts. Just trust me. Yuki said
confidently.

Hai.. mayu sighed as she has no choice but to agree with her girlfriend's decision. The time is up and back to the game.

Team akb position themselves and prepare for the match. The whistle has blown and the game has started.

Team akb got the ball. Yuki passed the ball to mayu.

Mayu slammed the ball hard across but the opponent managed to save the ball. This time, their playing style has changed drastically.

They became very fast. Too fast for us to see. They shot the ball towards yuki. Yuki barely misses the ball. It even left a small cut on her face.

Mayu passes the ball to her other teammates and they smacked the ball across, trying to score but to no avail. The opponent saves the ball easily and
shot the ball back.

The ball hits one of our teammate's shoulder, dislocating it. She has been sent out to receive first aid. The match continues.

They are playing dirty. They are trying to weaken us by injurying us. Mayu whispered to yuki. Yuki nodded, understanding what mayu is saying.

The ball is on the opponent's team. They strikes a super fast ball towards yuki again. This time, due to yuki not feeling well, was unable to react fast and
 the ball is going straight towards her head.

WATCH OUT!! Mayu shouted as her dived towards yuki's direction and managed to blocked the ball but unfortunately, the ball hits hard on her head.

Mayu fell on the floor and became unconscious. Blood can be seen dripping from her head. The whistle blown and the opponent won.

*POP POP* Sounds of confetti poping from the ceiling as they celebrates the winner. Yuki eyes widen and ran as fast as she can towards mayu.

Mayu! MAYUUUU!!! Yuki screamed.

I'm back with another chapter. I changed my writing format slightly for better reading. I'm not sure if it helps but do let me know whether I should continue writing it this way or not. I got to apologise for the late update. Previous I had the writers block and I can't think of any ideas of how to continue my fic. School has already started and I will be more busier but on the contrary,  it gave me some ideas. I'm not sure if anyone is still reading my fic but I still hope to finish my fic asap if possible. Enough with the crap talk. Here I present you chapter 16. Dozo...

Chapter 16

                                "My visions are so blur but yet I still can see the figure in front of me, panicking, eyes watery and flustered."

                                                                             "I can't really hear but I know she's calling my name."

                                                                                    "How I wish to speak but I had no strength left."

                                                                                    "How I wish I could tell her how much I love her"

                                                                                                   "Ah~ I feel so sleepy and tired."

Before I knew it, I've already loss consciousness.

I was standing outside the operating theater that mayu had entered in since an hour ago. I kept staring at the theater door, hoping that it will open soon.

Praying hard that mayu would be fine. I walked back and forth, getting impatient. Bad thoughts crept up my mind, thinking of the worst thing that Could happened to mayu.

The word "death" came to my mind. I instantly shake my head, trying to get rid of those thoughts. Tired of standing, I sat at one of the bench that was placed outside of the operating theater.

I tuck my legs against my chest and buried my head to my knees. I mumbled a couple of incoherent words, probably blaming myself for all the causes.

Soon later, the door swing opened and the doctor came out. I shot up from my seat and ran to the doc. "How's mayu? How is she?!" I asked the doctor,
more like demanding an answer.

The doctor cleared his throat and answer. "The ball has made a huge impact on her head which has cause a serious concussion. She was unlucky. The
ball impact has also cause some problems on the nerve thats connected to her eyes, affecting her vision. She will be blind but not to worry, it's only temporary. " the doctor explained.

"How long will it takes for her to regain her eyesight?" I asked.

"Depends on the patient. It might takes days, weeks, months or worst, years. I previous had a patient who waited almost ten years and had not gain back his eyesight." The doctor said.

"Te-ten years?!" My eyes shot wide open to the size of an fishball.

"Yes. That's right. Well, like I said. It's all depends on the patient. I hope she will recover soon. You may visit her now. Do remember not to agitate her as she will have a migraine due to the concussion." The doctor said. I bowed and thanked him. He excused himself and left.

I stood outside mayu's room. Not sure what to say to her when I go in. I'm afraid of how she would react. Will she ignore me? Will she hate me?
Will she be angry? No one knows.

I gulped and slowly open the door. I walked in, only to find a pale-looking, emotionless cold cyborg with a bandage on her head.

I sat in front so her and called her. Mayu smiled when she heard my voice but frown afterwards. "Yuki, why didn't you turn on the lights? It's so dark. I
want to see your face." Mayu said.

Those words stabbed through my heart like knifes. I held mayu's hand and gently pat on it. "What's wrong?" Mayu said.

I let out a sigh and gripped her hand tighter. "Mayu, I'm so sorry." I said as I couldn't hold my tears anymore.

"This is all my fault. I should had listened to your advice during the games. All this wouldn't happened if I listened to you.  I'm really sorry." I cried as tears dripped onto mayu's hands.

"What did the doctor says about my condition?" Mayu asked. I tried to calmed myself down before answering her question. "He said that *sniff* you had a serious concussion. He also said that you will be temporary blind. *sniff*"

Mayu's face instantly changed. I could tell that she's really devastated. "Yuki, when will regained my eyesight?"

"The doctor says its might takes days, weeks, months or-" I paused for a second, afraid to continue.  "Or what?" Mayu asked. "Or years." I said reluctantly.

"So that means I won't be able to see your pretty face till I regain my sight?" mayu pouted.

I was lost of words. Aren't mayu gonna get mad? Why isn't she angry but instead pouted?

"Are you silly? Why aren't you mad at me? I'm the one who causes you to be blind!" I exclaimed.

"Of course I'm mad! Who says I'm not? I'm just mad at the fact that I won't be able to see your face. I missed you. Alot. This isn't your fault. It's their fault. They are the actual ones who cause the accident. I have never regret saving you. I would never forgive myself if you are the one that is injured." Mayu said.

She cupped my face with her hands and explored it. "Even if I can't see, that doesn't mean I can't feel. Your face is so smooth.Your eyes, nose and lips
 are so perfect. They are the most beautiful features I've ever seen or maybe touched." Mayu slightly giggled.

"Let me be your eyes, mayu. I will be your guide. I won't let any harm act on you. I will take care of you till you regain your eyesight." I said.

"Promise you will be by my side everyday?" Mayu asked like a small kid. I kissed her as a seal of promise. "I promise." I said. Mayu smiled brightly.

Soon after, the ward room's door swing open and revealed a panting squirrel and a flawless cat. Yuko when to mayu's bed and ask a series of questions. Asking if she feels any pain or if she suffering etc.

Nyan nyan asked me what happened. I explained the entire situation to both yuko and nyan nyan. Apparently they received a call from the hospital since yuko is mayu's sister.

Yuko banged the table near the bed with her fist, shocking all of us. "This is outrages. They are too horrible. They should be disqualified. How can they
 do this?" Yuko growled.

"Yuki, we need to talk. Come outside with me." Yuko ordered. I followed her silently. As we are outside, Yuko shoved me against the wall.

I winced as the pain spread through my back. I was shocked as yuko glared at me. Her face is just mere a inch apart from mine.

"I swear if anything happens to mayu next time, regards of who, I will make sure that person gets ten times the pain of what happened to mayu. Including you. You understand?!"  Yuko hissed."

I nodded my head rapidly. "Good. I hope I won't be reminding you again." Yuko said. I held my breath for who-knows-how-long. Yuko could be really scary especially when it came to mayu.

Yuko san, please keep your volume down or I will personally kick you out of the hospital. A tall, model-looking nurse said.

Gomen ne mariko. Yuko apologised. Yuko introduced mariko to me. She was yuko's personal nurse when everytime yuko was hospitalised due to
Basketball training. They were also friends. Its just so that mariko is also mayu's personal nurse. Mariko came to give mayu her medication and told us to leave as its almost pass visiting hour.

I went in to speak to mayu one last time. "Mayu, I will visit you tomorrow early in the morning. Please do get plenty of sleep as its has been a tiring day
for you."

I tuck mayu comfortable in the blanket and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight. I love you" I said. Mayu smiled and closed her eyes. "I love you too" Mayu mumbled as she drift into her own dreams.
