Part 2.
Mayu’s pov.
“Yukirin… How long has it been since I fell in love with you?
My feelings have only increased since that day, would you notice them?
Even though, it’s hard to put them into words,
Like the snow, they just quietly keep accumulating,
What it was like to be in love with you, I love you… My tears won’t stop,
And so I wish your embrace would never end…
Hold me tight, like you did before, tight enough to break me,
Tonight, too, I hold this half-finished muffler, all alone,
If there was an eternally falling snow, could it hide my feelings for you?
I miss you, the feeling wells up in my heart, I want to shout to the wintery sky,
"I want to see you right now!!",
Just one thing doesn’t change, that dream I painted,
The one of you and me, in my young eyes back then…
But there was no such thing as forever was there,
Even so, when we were together, and even now, I’d still have my life, to love you with all my might.
*Yuki’s smile pops into Mayu’s mind* “Mayuyu!”.
I hope that our first love will be the fulfillment of that dream...”

“That’ll be 640 yen, please,” a staff behind the white counter spoke with a joyful smile.
Opposite the grinning worker, Mayu pulled out a thousand yen note from her pocket which she gave over to the tolerantly waiting lady. The scent of the freshly made hot chocolate, made Mayu’s senses perk at the delightful aroma, slowly warming Mayu’s cheeks from the steam coming off from it. However, she heard a bell ring, and watched as a pair of high-school students walked in hand in hand, giving smiling glances at one another, Mayu looked at them with envy, wishing she could’ve had a moment like that with her loved one.
“Here’s your change of 360 yen. Thank you for your purchase.”
Receiving the coins and receipt, Mayu smiled and thanked the employee, stepping out the cosy building, holding the paper cup by its cardboard sleeve, finally bringing it closer to her lips. Her insides warmed up instantly, accept for one thing in her body, only one person could melt her cold frozen heart.
As she started taking her first steps onto the street, a figure crashed Mayu, making her fall flat on her oshiri and her spilling her hot chocolate.
“itai!” Mayu whined,
“ah! Gomen, here grab my hand” the figure reached out her hand.
Just as Mayu was about to, she looked up at the figure shocked, “Yu-Yuko-senpai?!”,
“eh? Shiriko-chan?!” the dimpled face girl shouted,
“Shiriko-chan!” Yuko hugged Mayu,
“Yuko-senpai! It’s been so long how are you and Kojiharu-senpai?” Mayu replied to the hug,
“excuse me! It’s been forever! Oh, me and Nyan-nyan are good” Yuko playfully hit Mayu,
“ehehe.. Sorry about that senpai, I’ve just been a little busy” Mayu said nervously.
“yeah but you had me worried, you haven’t contacted me in 2 months! Well, I guess it doesn’t matter now, you and me have a lot of catching up to do, come on, I’ll buy you another hot choco” Yuko winked.
Back inside the cafe…
“Mayu… Why didn’t you tell me sooner? Me and Nyan-nyan would’ve gone with you” Yuko frowned at her oshiri sister,
“I’m sorry… I just.. it’s too hard to explain.” Mayu’s eyes started to tear up.
“You miss her don’t you?...” Yuko gave Mayu a sad smile,
“everyday, everynight, every moment. I can’t stop thinking of her…” Mayu looked down at her mug,
“if it’s hurting you this much, you should come back home with me and Nyan-nyan” Yuko took Mayu’s hand into hers,
“no… I can’t leave Yuki behind, I have to stay, I want to stay, for her sake” giving Yuko a serious stare.
“if that is what you want Mayu, who am I to stop you” Yuko sighed at how stubborn Mayu was.

After Mayu and Yuko talked, Mayu went to visit her loved one.
“hi Yukirin, I bought you a hot chocolate… *Mayu placed the steaming brewed drink onto the hard cold stone* You never guess what? I bumped into Yuko today, her and Nyan-nyan are doing well she said, I also saw a high-school couple holding hands, just like we used too… ne, Yuki? Do you remember when we younger, I would always forget to bring my scarf to school, and I would shiver on the way home, you would notice and wrap your scarf around me while it was still on your neck so we were connected, you’d also breathe on and rub my hands with yours so they’d warm up.. I miss those moments we had, I wish I could've had more time with you, because every time I close my eyes I see you…” Mayu started crying again, but then a voice a similar voice rang in her ears.
“Mayu...Mayuyu...I love you, I’ve wanted to tell you that time again and again. But instead I was too shy to tell you, I’m sorry, even though I never said a word, I hope you can hear me now… I love you, my cyborg, my Mayuyu.”
“Yuki! Yukirin where are you?! Please don’t leave me, I cannot live without you!” Mayu yelled, panickingly around her, before looking at the grave stone facing towards her.
Just then she heard small clunking footsteps behind her, “I’m here Mayu” a raven haired girl smiled,
“Yuki!” Mayu jumped on the older girl, embracing her with her tightness grip, making your the taller figure was actually there,
“I’ve missed you” she mumbled in a soft voice.
“I know… I’ve missed you too… Listen to me Mayu, I have to go soon, so please… Try not to flood my grave would ya?” Yuki smiled.
“Bakarin! How can I do that… A-and you can’t leave! I won’t let you!” Mayu said annoyed tightening her grip on the other girl,
Stroking Mayu's soft black hair slowly, Yuki whispered into Mayu’s ear, “Mayu, for you, I give my all”.
Standing alone once again, Mayu collapsed, “I’ll just go to sleep here. And then surely… When I wake up, we’ll be together again Yukirin… No one can get between me and Yukirin. Yuki, come and take me already...”

Snow started falling from the sky, slowly piling up…
Mayu’s eyes started opening, “hmm… Yuki?”, Mayu rubbed her eyes,
“... Mayu…”
“heh? Yuki… Yukirin!”
Two shadows embraced and walked off, hand in hand...
From then on Mayu and Yuki were finally able to hold hands once again, for eternity and Mayu's painted dream came true.
