Darkness of the night
Chapter 1.
Utsukushii Inazuma
- Rena-chaaaaan!! - it was impossible not to hear such a cry, and a very slim girl of medium height turned to see her friend on the other end of the street. She tried to cross the road at a red light, breaking all the rules, and at the same time somehow managed to wave her friend in greeting.
Rena waved back to her, because has no choice but to wait until it's too friendly misunderstanding comes to her.
- Rena-chan, I'm coming! - luckily not hit by a car, she finally crossed the road and turned next with her friend.
- Juritan, you can't do so! - while she was resting from a long run, Rena decided to chastise this little monster in full. - You could get hit by a car!
- Well, don't hit! - breathed, Juritan finally rushed at her friend with open arms. - Rena-chaaan, I'm so missed you ...
- I'm missed you too... - she hugged her back.
They had not seen each other for about a month - Rena had preparing for final exams from the school and to the entrance exams to the university. Juritan at this time fooling around, managed to fly to her sister in America and finally broke old TV, constantly switching channels because of boredom.
- And as far we parting now? - they continued to walk, Juritan helped carry Rena's suitcase.

- Do you even hear me? - Rena gently tugged her friend's ear.
- Ouch! - Juritan jumped in surprise.
- Did you hear me? - Rena stopped and looked into her eyes.
- Yes, ma'am! - Juritan saluted as a joke, while nearly knocking her friend's suitcase.
And both girls laughed, continuing on his way.
- We came.
They were standing near a bus stop. From here a bus, that will take Rena away to the airport, will soon go away.
- We've got six minutes.
- You had to remind me this? - Juritan quipped to her friend.
In addition to them, at the bus stop there was nobody, so they could properly say goodbye to each other.
When bus approached, Rena put her suitcase and bag in the luggage compartment, and then hugged Juritan and got on the bus. The doors closed, the car began to pick up speed.
Rena hasn't seen soundless tears of her friend. And Juritan never thought that she had seen her for the last time today.

Her name was Miyazawa Jurina, but no one called her by full name. Only called by nickname - Juritan. She was 14 years old and studied at one of the most prestigious high schools in the Aichi Prefecture.
She was born not in a very ordinary family. Sufficient to mention that both her parents were female. But Jurina doesn't care - she loved them and her older sister.
Her mother worked in a private clinic and was very respected doctor, despite her, in general, small age compared with the rest. Sometimes Jurina came to her in the hospital and treated with enthusiasm any medical devices and chemicals. But, despite this, Juritan didn't want to become a doctor - for her it meant too much responsibility for other people's lives.
Her "father" was director and filmed, according to Jurina, very good movies and serials. Several of her works have been awarded the "Oscar" for the best director's job. It should be added that she was not only the director: it sometimes seemed that the entire film crew and all the cast consists only of her - so much energy and ideas was in this woman. Juritan herself appeared in small roles in a couple of her papa's films, for example, the most memorable role of her is a killer-mercenary in the TV series "Tomorrow will be today." But after that she rejected the proposal of the title role in film that promises to be a cult. Instead her that role goes to the talented Maeda Atsuko, which begins her ascent to stardom, which was the same age as Rena. But Juritan gladly helped her "father" with the setting scenes and adjustment of the finished footage.
Jurina's older sister - Yuko - after the military academy immediately flew to America, because received an offer to work as a bodyguard with a very well-known model Kojima Haruna. Difference between Yuko and Jurina was almost 9 years, but older sister, when flew home, all the time spent with the younger, dealing with her on an equal footing.
In fact, they were half-sisters because they had different fathers. And if the story about their mother and Yuko's biological father Jurina knew almost everything, then about the identity of her own biological father she could only guess. She knew only that he was some relative of her "father"...
In life Juritan wanted to be a musician - she even learned how to play guitar and piano. Sometimes she penned the words and tried to come up with a melody to them. Sometimes it works very well - for example, one of her "successful" songs became the soundtrack to her "father"'s film. When it was a different scenario, a piece with a song delivered in a special sealed box to drafts. Sometimes Jurina was thinking to release her own single, but couldn't get to the recording studio, so soon it will no longer be a fixed idea, a desire to go to the furthest reaches of consciousness from time to time.
The history of their acquaintance with Rena more than usual - their parents were friends, and three girls were almost always together. Yuko and Rena have studied at the junior school when Jurina appeared at a light. Yuko, when the first time she saw her, wanted to immediately grab the baby in her arms and play with her. Rena's reaction was the opposite - a girl just scared of this strange little and, besides, constantly crying creature.
Rena decided to approach Jurina only when she was three years old and she just grew. By the time the baby was "jet engine" and could run anywhere without getting tired. Yuko and Rena, when they were not in school, always go for a walk with her and constantly catching up with her. Despite the fact that Rena was calm and quiet child, she liked it. Yuko, it seems, just catching the buzz of so many physical activities.
When Jurina went to the junior school, after school, they met with Rena and walked home together - Yuko couldn't join them because she had studied in high school. During these two years Rena attached to Jurina, and she, in turn, could not live without her.
Jurina was ten years old, and Yuko was nineteen, when their mother got seriously ill. Their "father" arranged for her wife in a good clinic abroad and went along with her, and leave the care about Juritan at older sister. Yuko, who at the time was a freshman in military academy, simply didn't have time to learn and at the same time keep an eye on the clumsy and restless younger sister. Seeing this, Rena volunteered to help her and now all her time spent near Jurina - relegated her to school, though her academy was generally at the opposite end of the district, explained everything strange, and she went with her everywhere.
So it took three years, and then Yuko and Jurina's parents went back and everything fell into place.
By the time Jurina was in the second year of secondary school, Yuko was rushed between the educational in buildings and training on the polygons, and Rena was finishing high school.
Rena and Juritan still had a lot of time together. And at one point Juritan realized that she fell in love with her friend. At first she was afraid of her feelings, she thought it was wrong and that Rena won't respond to her love.
And then, about three months before the end of school, Rena told her that she would study abroad. She said she has already sent an application to the Institute and the answer has already come together with a list of required for admission. Rena also said that if she'll go, then she'll go away from Japan for six years.
At this point, some kind of emptiness filled Jurina's soul, as if having waited for the moment to escape. She returned home frustrated, and even couldn't talk with her parents .
Later Jurina decided - wait for her friend in whatever was, no matter what the cost.

After escorting her friend Jurina called Yuria - her classmate with whom they have always communicated in school. She responded negatively to the proposal to go to karaoke and have fun because she currently in Italy.
Having been refused, Juritan wandered home through the park, where they usually walked with Rena. Her friend loved this park, because there was a small lake, on which at the spring and summer was full of swans and ducks. There was calm, so sometimes Rena came here to prepare for exams, and in between they together fed the inhabitants of the lake.
Especially turning on not quite noticeable footpath Juritan went to this lake. Unlikely now, of course, there will be someone from the birds - was still too cold. She shivered, put her hands in her pockets and continued her way.
As she thought, at the lake was not a single living soul. The very same lake was still covered with ice crust, not melted a long time. Juritan squatted on the shore and touched this icy surface. Fingers immediately burned cold, and she hurried back to thrust her hand into her pocket, where was a little warmer.
- What's a beautiful girl doing here alone? - suddenly a voice was behind her.
She jumped up, nearly falling, but managed to keep her balance and looked at the man who dared to interrupt her solitude.
It appeared to be a very pretty dark-haired man of 20 years in a warm brown winter coat.
- What is your name, my dear lady? - he came closer to her.
- Ju... Jurina... - she blushed faintly.
- Nice to meet you, - he kissed her hand, and the blush on the Juritan's cheeks erupted with renewed force. - I'm Ren.

Ren? - girl repeated, hoping to misheard. Well, this guy couldn't have a name so similar to the name of her best friend! Coincidence? Miyazawa Jurina doesn't believe in coincidences.
