Who needs that?

I've been alone in the dark for as long as I can remember.

...But, I'm scared of the dark....

I don't know why, but...

I feel so weak...

Black Chocolate-Chapter 1
« Reply #13 on: February 23, 2013, 01:24:50 AM »
Chapter 1-The dark, black past

It was a dark, cloudy day. Everything seemed to be gloomy, but everyone smiled and continued their life with their friends.

On the way to school, there was one girl who was completely alone.

No one would go an inch near her and always ignored her.

She was beautiful, one of the most attractive girls in school, even, but had a heart of ice.

Her eyes were as black as night, cold and lifeless.

Little did everyone know, there was a sad past that told the story behind her dark aura and cold personality.

Her name was Yuki. Kashiwagi Yuki.

One beautiful sunny day in July, the brightness and warmth of the sun shone down on a newborn baby girl.

She was sleeping peacefully in her crib as the light reflected off her pale white skin.

A perfectly healthy baby, brought into the world anew with dreams as big as she wanted.

Her big, black eyes opened slowly as she awoke from her slumber, stretching her arms and yawning.

Her mother came over her crib and picked her up, holding her close.

"Good morning, Yuki."

The cute little baby smiled and giggled at the sight of her kind mother.

"You're gonna grow up to be a beautiful girl."

A few years later, Yuki was 6 years old and sleeping in her beautiful white bed, covered by a lace white canopy.

The door slowly opened and her 10-year-old brother, Takeru, tip-toed in.

He smiled at the sight of her sleeping sister and slowly knelt down at her.

He picked up a stuffed teddy bear off the ground and laied it next to her. In her sleep, she hugged the bear tight and smiled.

Takeru slowly raised his hand and stroked her head.

"'Night, little princess," he whispered to her. "You're my princess."

He was always by her side to help her.

On the day she was starting primary school, she brought her stuffed bear because she was nervous.

Her long black hair was were tied in twin ponytails and she wore glasses and her favorite light pink shirt.

"C'mon. Who's my little princess?"

He pinched her cheeks up to make her smile a bit.

"Where's that bright smile?"

She giggled a bit, feeling a bit relieved from her brother's support.

"There it is!"

"Thank you, Take-nii."

"Now, you go and have a good time, okay? Make a lot of friends."

"Un! Itekimasu!"

She ran up the hill and smiled at Takeru as he waved goodbye to her.

And after that one day, she made lots of new friends and became a rather popular girl at school.

And over the years, she became more popular.

Despite being teased for wearing glasses and having huge reactions, she was captain of both the marching band and soccer club.

She was very smart and very cute, which made her very popular with boys.

She was always positive, and there was never a day she didn't.

She was basically the piece of the sun that never stopped shining through the clouds.

Her family got bigger over the years, too.

The family adopted a cute little puppy from the shelter, and her mom had a baby boy when she was 9.

Then, one day, she drew her own original story book.

Yuki-chan's Candy Wonderland

There once was a small princess named Yuki, who lived in a castle surrounded by a large beautiful garden.

She played in the garden by herself and talked to the colorful flowers.

One day, she met a cute little witch in the garden.

"Hello, princess," she said. "My name is Mayu. I'm a witch from the candy world."

"Are? Does that mean you can make candy appear," Yuki asked.

"Un!" She waved her wand and out came colorful candies galore.

She ate the candy and decided she should share Mayu's gift with the kingdom, because everyone else was very poor.

They rode Mayu's flying broomstick into town and made candy rain everywhere.

"Everyone eat up! Itadaki~-Mayuyu," screamed Mayu as she flew through the village.

She then dropped her off at an empty field and waved her wand again.

The field turned into a candy forest, with lollipop trees and cotton candy clouds, even a chocolate river.

This was a world that Yuki could visit everyday. Yukirin World!

"Thank you, Mayuyu!"

The End

"Hahaha! Yukirin, this is so cute!"

"Your drawings are adorable!"

"Mayuyu, what a character!"

All her friends giggled at her story.

Some of them teased her by dancing with lollipops and saying "Itadaki-Mayuyu!" in front of her.

"Mou, cut that out!"

When she was 12, her younger brother, Ryota, also often teased by calling her names like "Marimokkori."

"It's not 'Marimokkori'! My name is Yuki! YUKI!!!"

"Mou~! Ryota!"

But, one day, someone went too far on the teasing. In fact, it was bullying.

When she started middle school, a group of older male students were picking on her.

They were all gathered around her and trapped her against the wall.

"What do you want? I need to go."

One of the boys slammed their hand against the wall.

"Little miss student council president, think you can order us around, huh?"

"... Ano, I really don't have time for all this, so-"

"I wanna ask. Why are you so happy?"

Yuki lifted her eyebrow, confused by the boy's question.

"You rarely get mad, you never cry, you're just overly positive. It's honestly creepy."

"Excuse me?"

One of the boys suddenly snatched her bag and pulled out the book she drew when she was 10.

"What a child, still keeping things like this."

"I remember this. Your little 'Yukirin Wonderland', how a-dor-a-ble!"

Their sarcastic laughter made Yuki mad. She tried to grab the book, but he threw it down into a puddle.

"Listen, your little fantasies. Your dreams. They'll never come true."

He threw his cigarette down on the book and let it all burn.

They left her all alone and let the book disappear in the flames. Yuki fell down to her knees, her eyes widened in despair.

Her friends comforted her and told her not to listen, but she still felt a pain in her heart she never felt before.

Even her parents and older brother tried to help, but she still felt sad.

Not enough to cry though.

She spent some close time with her dog. She truly felt happy when she talked to him.

When she was 14, her dog went missing, so she went to look for him.

He found him tied by a rope to a wooden pole in the ground. The dognappers were none other than the same boys who burnt her book.

Two of the boys held her arms behind her back to make sure she wouldn't fight back.

"Tomorrow's your birthday, right?"

She tried to look away, but the boys held her head in place.

The other boy took an old wooden back and walked toward the dog.

"No... Please..."

"Happy birthday."

He swung the bat hard at the dog. The pole flew out from the ground and he hit the wall.

He began beating him with the bat. It had rusty nails in it that pierced deep into his skin.

"Hey, help me hold him down!"

One of the boys came over and held the dog's neck down.

"Watch closely, missy. Let it ALL sink in. We just wanna see you cry for once."

"No... No, stop. Stop!"

She wanted to scream, but she couldn't say a word.

She wanted to fight back, but she couldn't move.

She didn't want to look, but her eyes wouldn't close.

"Are? It's stopped breathing already."

"Hehe... Bleed, bleed, bleed. This thing is endless!"

They let her go, and she stared in awe at her dead puppy. Her lips were shaking and her pupils were dialated.

They slowly came over and turned her to see her face.

"Fear... Despair... But no tears!"

One suddenly slapped her, but her expression never changed.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! Cry! CRY!!! WHY WON'T YOU CRY?!?!?!?!?!"

"We want tears of sadness! Cries of despair!! SCREAMS OF AGONY!!!"

They slapped her, and even kicked her, laughing at her more and more as she let them beat her.

"Cry already! CRY!!!"

He went in to punch her hard, but her head lowered, covering her eyes.

She suddenly snatched his hand and squeezed it hard.

She stood up and squeezed it harder and harder.

"H-hey... let go. Let go!"

Her head still hung low and she didn't respond.

"Hey, we didn't mean it, okay? We're sorry! We'll make it up to you."

"Y-yeah! Just LET GO!!!"

Their voices could no longer reach her.

As if she were possessed, she grabbed his arm and flipped him over. He fell on the ground hard.

"Stop. STOP!"

"... You will never...make it up to me...."

She punched him repeatedly, pounding him to a pulp. Her eyes became lifeless, as if all light that shined in them before was sucked out of it.

Her face was emotionless and blank.

Nothing could reach her.

After she finished beating him, he passed out and got carried home by his friends.

Yuki walked home, her hand in pain from all the punching. Her knuckles had blood on them.

She wrapped her hand in gauze to heal her wound and ignored her family questioning what happened.

The day after, she was locked up in her room all day.

Her mother knocked on her door slightly.

"Yuki. Some of your friends are here."

The door slightly opened and two girls walked in.

They looked at Yuki with worried expressions. They saw her sitting on her bed, hugging her knees and had an emotionless face.

"Yuki-chan, are you okay?"

"Um, we heard about what happened yesterday. We're... really sorry."

She stayed silent, staring at the ground.

Her mother then walked in.

"Yuki, honey, if you want, I'll get a new dog. Maybe we can find those boys and-"

Everyone was surprised at Yuki's sudden scream. It was loud, but cold.

"... I just wanna be alone..."

They all left her alone in the room.

She got up and stared at a cake and wrapped present on the floor.

She picked up the present and opened it. It was a small, brown leather book with blank white pages.

She set it down on her desk and picked up the box with the cake in it.

There was a knife on top. Not too big, just big enough to cut the cake.

She slowly picked it up, staring at it intensely.

Then, as if her mind was sucked into a black hole, she took the knife to her wrist, not even thinking twice about her actions.

She cut the knife deep into her wrist, blood dripping out.

She became overcome with grief, pain, and ultimate despair.

Tears... Tears fell from her eyes for the first time.

A loud, piercing sound echoed through the room. A sound that screeched through the walls, so that everyone in the house could hear.

But, everyone felt it was best to leave her alone.

She screamed in pain, in agony. Her wrist, her heart, everything broke down and she was in pain.

Once she released the knife from her wrist, she fell to her knees and cried more.
End of Flashback

When Yuki was about to start her third-year of middle school, she transferred schools.

At that school, people tried to make friends with her, but she was cold and lifeless to them.

Juniors students became scared of her, senior students were creeped out by her, and she was basically had no friends.

Everyone just ignored her completely. They were too scared to make her mad.

One look into her eyes and everyone would run away.

She's 18 now, and almost everyone still ignores her.

But, there still might be a ray of hope in her future, for as she walks home from school one day, she sees a new sweets shop being built in town.

Black Chocolate-Chapter 2
« Reply #19 on: February 28, 2013, 03:09:00 PM »
Chapter 2-The girl named "Black"

All alone after class, the young, cold-hearted girl, Yuki, is sitting alone reading a book.

No one noticed her. She'd stay in that position forever, and everyone was too scared to get close to her.

Except for a few girls.

One girl, Takajo Aki, was trying to make her her friend, so she can cheer her up.

Aki was a tomboy and admitted tsundere, but has trouble keeping up with her studies. But, she's kind-hearted and always wants to help.

However, like every other student in school, she didn't know of Yuki's retched past.

She gathered her courage and walked over to her.

"Ano... Kashiwagi..-san?"

Yuki looked up at Aki with dark, cold eyes.

Aki clenched her fist a bit and continued.

"Ano, I heard you played soccer when you were in primary school. That's pretty cool!"

"Um, the soccer club is actually looking for members, so-"

"Not intrested."

Yuki finally spoke, but her voice was cold and lifeless. Aki didn't pay attention and continued.

"I-I didn't mean that. I'm in the archery club after all-"

"Who cares?"

"... I told you, I have no intrest."

Aki felt an awkward, painful silence between the two of them grow, so she decided to go.

"If you find a club you like, you should join," she said as she left the room.

Yuki didn't respond, so she just turned and left.

Later, Yuki was in the library returning the book she was reading.

She went through the shelves to find a new one and ran into one of the assistant librarians.

Her name was Kuramochi Asuka. She was shy and very scared of Yuki, but tried her best to be friendly.

"Ah, I'm sorry! Were you looking for a new book?"

"A-ah... You must have finished the first one you had."

She reached up and grabbed a book off the top shelf.

"Here. I recommend this one next."

She slowly handed her the book. Yuki didn't respond and only stared at the book.

"You really should read the series..."

"....Like I care..."

"Ah... right..."

Asuka helped her check out the book, and Yuki left soon after.

At lunch, Aki walked over to talk to Yuki again.

"Nee, Kashiwagi-san. Wanna get lunch?"

Out of impulse, Aki grabbed her hand and pulled her up.

"C'mon. Just this once, okay?"

Aki didn't want to make Yuki even more depressed than she already was.

She wanted to know what was wrong with her, so she can find a way to help her and, at least try, to make her happy.

Aki looked up and smiled.

".... Well... not like it matters."

Aki dragged her out the classroom to the hallway wear they were selling bread and sandwhiches.

"What'ya like?"

"Okay. Oi, Unagi-inu!"

A girl wearing an apron and a hair net came over to the register.

"Aki, I thought I told you to stop calling me that!"

"Yuki, this is Kitahara Rie, AKA, Unagi-inu."

The girl named Rie did resemble somewhat of an eel, but it was still a weird nickname for a girl like her.

And she should know. Her younger brother calls her "Black Marimokkori."

"Black." That was Yuki's new name throughout the school.

A black heart, black aura, black eyes.

It was the perfect description for her.

"Nothing in me but darkness... Pain... Black....."

"Oi, Black."

Yuki walked down the hall, ignoring the voices of a few male students.

"Black... Why is it your eyes, hair, sweater, and every other part of you is black, but your skin is so pale white?"

"Genetic problem, much, Black?"

They laughed on, until Yuki gave them a deadly glare and made them stop.

They instantly froze and she continued down the halls.

"Everyone only stops and stares at me... If only they could just ignore me. Everything would be so much better that way."
