Choir room lock up

There they where all in the choir room. No noises heard other than quick pressing down of keys on their phones sending texts to their loved ones and quiet sobbing of some of the younger ones. The room was dark. Doors locked with black displays standing up covering the windows of the room. Each of the students bags were sprawled across the cold floor or standing up on one of the many chairs at the back.

The air was tense and no one dared to break the deafening silence the filled the room. By the whiteboard sat a long black haired girl her eyes fixated on the back of the room where her girlfriends bag sat. "She isnt here." She stated tears slowly running down her face. "Neither is Miichan." Replied a taller girl as she leaned back against the wall where she sat. "I need to find her!" Shouted the black haired girl standing up and charging to the door. However before her hand reached the doorknob she was pulled back with a hand covering her mouth and an arm wrapped around her waist as she struggled to free herself and shouted her girlfriends name. "Yuki calm down your putting everyone else's life at danger here." Whispered the girl who was restraining Yuki. "But I dont want her to be alone." Said Yuki once again trying to free herself from the older girls grasp.

"I know I know but calm down I promise that Mayu will be fine." Spoke the older girl feeling the Yuki calm down slightly in her arms. "I'm sorry Minami I just want to be with her." Sobbed Yuki turing around and hugging Minami for comfort. "Shhhhhh its okay." Said Minami rubbing Yuki's back while she cried into her shoulder.

Meanwhile on the other side of the room sat fanged girl side hugging the girl beside who hugged her knees trying to hide her tears from the others. "The last words my parents heard me say was I hate you." She cried leaning into the embrace of her girlfriend. "They know you love them its a parent thing." Reassured the fanged girl kissing her girlfriends hair. "But Tomochin what if they dont?" Tomochin looked at her girlfriend and then kissed her forehead "They do trust me have I ever let you down Tomomi?" Asked Tomochin lifting Tomomi's head up to look into her eyes. Tomomi lifted her hand up taking hold of the one that was lifting her up by the chin and held it tightly causing Tomochin to smile "You can always make me smile even in a situation like this you truely are great." complimented Tomochin giving Tomomi a chaste kiss.

A sudden beep of a phone shocked the girls in the room. "Who's phone was that?" Questioned Minami who was now sitting in the far corner of the right holding onto her girlfriend Maeda Atsuko who sat on her lap sobbing silently into her shoulder. "It was mine Miichan .... she is safe ... she is outside." Claimed the tall girl. "Turn the sound off Mariko we dont want whoever it is finding us." Demanded Minami raising her voice not caring if she sounded harsh the others safety embedded into her mind. Mariko didnt reply instead she quickly switched off her phone the tension in her body gone now she knew the person she loved was safe. "I have something to confess." Piped up Jurina who sat behind the drum set barely in view of everyone in the room other than Rena her girlfriend who sat beside her. "I lied about my dad being away on a business trip the truth is he died 3 years ago after my mother died of cancer he commited sucided." Confessed Jurina her once tearless face soaked with her own salty tears "I was scared to tell you guys incase you thought I was a parent less freak." she added while Rena wiped the girls tears away showing her a comforting smile.

"We love you Jurina nothing would ever make us think like that about you."

A small smile crept on Jurina's face. "While we are confessing things I might as well tell you guys why I have been coming to school with bruises." Said Yuko who held onto Harunas hand who sat firmly beside her head on her shoulder her face stained with tears. "Ever since I began living with my mother I have regreted it every night she comes home drunk saying all sorts of useless nonsnese until she finally starts to hit me." Revealed Yuko looking up at the roof. "Why didnt you tell us until now and Haruna did you know?" Inquired Atsuko turning her head to face the couple. "Yes thats why I have been staying over at her apartment alot lately as for why now well why not confess something in a life threatening situation we dont know if we will make it." Replied Yuko tears finally slipping down her face after her holding them back for so long.

"I'm going to look for Mayu." - Minami

"What Minami you cant that pshyco is out there." - Atsuko

"Let me go she is my girlfriend please I beg you." - Yuki

"You know I wont let you do that Yuki follow my orders I am the captain here right besides I thnk Mayu needs to see you safe not shot or in a body bag." - Minami

"Why arent you thinking about me in this situation you are my girlfriend what if something happens to you?" - Atsuko

"It wont okay I promise I will come back Atsuko you need to be strong okay while I am gone I need you to look after the others okay no one else can leave this room." - Minami

"Your not going on your own Takaboy I'm coming with you I cant let my best friend go out in that hell hole alone." - Yuko

Then for the first time since they had all entered the choir room Haruna spoke she tugged on the edge of Yuko's top as she stood up pulling her into a hug. "Dont go please I need you I'm scared please dont go." Begged Haruna her head in the crook of Yuko's neck. "You know I cant let Minami go out there alone I have known her since we were three to know she is just as scared as all of us here even if she isnt showing it this idiot has an annoying trait of hiding her feelings." Explained Yuko stroking Harunas head. "Minami stop her please." Pleaded Haruna who got a shake of the head in reply "You know that when her mind is set on something she will never give up on it an annoying trait of hers." responded Minami looking down feeling guilty that she couldnt do a thing to stop Yuko.

Yuko took Harunas into her hands and kissed her lips whispering "I love you." while Minami did the same with Atsuko.
The two girls then left the choir room in search of the second youngest member of the choir the other girls who stayed in the room silently prayed for each of there safety.

"What are you doing Rena?" Asked Atsuko quietly as she closed the door trying to not make more noise than needed. Rena was currently pulling out a video recorder from her bag that was sat beside her switching it on saying "We should make a video message each to those we love just in case we dont ..... make it out." explained Rena. "Who wants to go first?" She asked the room was silent until Tomomi put her hand up. Rena nodded and crawled over to where Tomomi sat and pointed the video recorder in her direction. "Mum dad ...... I am sorry about saying I hate you ... I was spur of the moment I didnt mean any of those things I said I love you." Tomomi wasnt able to say anymore it seemed the fear had now took over her since she had said those words. Tomochin quickly took hold of her girlfriend once again and hugged while signalling for Rena to point the recorder towards her. "I love you mum and dad." She said pushing the recorder away so that if her parents did see the clip they would'nt see her tears.

Next was Mariko.

"Miichan I'm glad your safe and if you see this than the obvious has happaned just know I love you and mum and dad it looks like I couldnt take over the company like you wanted I'm sorry but I love you."

Then Haruna.

"I love you mum and dad I will be watching over you from heaven and Yuko I love you."

fourth was Atsuko.

"I dont know what to say but like everyone here has said so far I love my parents and my little sister and Minami but if you see this then well I am not around anymore which will be my biggest regret I wont be able to marry Minami like I want to and I wont be able to see my sister grow up if you are crying then dont I will always be with you in your hearts."

Fifth was Jurina.

"I just want you to know that I love you guys."

Rena passed the recorder over to Jurina so that she could then send a message her own parents. "I dont know what to say other than I love you." Finishing what she had to say she silently took the recorder away from Jurina and made her towards Yuki was sitting by the whiteboard lost in her thoughts. "Do you want to say something to them?" Rena asked pointing the camera in Yuki's direction only getting a flick of the hand in response practically telling her to go away. Rena sighed and sat down beside her friend. "She will be fine besides Minami and Yuko have went to get her right?"

"It should be me not them."

"Why?"

"She is my girlfriend not theirs she is the person I am meant to protect not them she is the girl I love the girl I am meant to protect not them."

And as if right on cue there came a knock of the door and a small whisper of Minami's voice. With no hesitation Atsuko ran to the door and opened it showing Yuko, Minami and  very pale Mayu. Takayuu escorted Mayu inisde to which Mayu was engulfed in to a hug. "Are you okay where was you I am sorry I didnt come and get you for give me." Bombarded Yuki. Mayu let out a slight chuckle and pushed Yuki back gently. "I am fine I was in the toilets and its okay the two of them explained and I love you." Replied Mayu hugging Yuki. "Why are you so pale?" Questioned Yuki not entirely convinced that Mayu was fine. "Well we bumped into this guy with a gun ... dont worry he was part of the SWAT unit sent here but it was still scary." Explained Mayu.

Not long after a man shouting "CLEAR!" was heard indicating that who ever had the gun had left.

The next day

"That was the scariest thing thats ever happaned in my life."

"Its still not safe though they even said that the person with the gun was not caught plus they have not even found the gun whoever it was is still in the school and so is the gun."

"Way to put a downer on things Mariko."

"Its true."

"Not even half of the school shown up today."

"Can you blame them?"

"No one got hurt with the shooting did they?"

"Nope no one."

"Rena can I borrow your recorder?"

"Why?"

"I just wanna do something."

"Oh ok ..."

Yuki's video message:

"So we survived and I'm the only one with out a goodbye message all I have to say is this I love my parents, Mayu and my school family this choir room holds my most precious memories I love this place its where I met Mayu for the first time and it is where I have spent most of my highschool life its the first place that I come to when I need to be alone and its the one place I know I will always be welcome. Its weird to think that outcasts, blips on the radar and popular people can all become one in this room its the one place we actually are our selves and if I had to spend my last moments with any people I am glad that it was the people I hold close."

I knew you based it off of that!

That episode was so scary, it shocked me when that happened! Especially at the end, too. That's scary when that happens, doesn't it? Life can be filled with endless possibilities, especially when it comes to those situations. I've always hated the scary part of life... It happened to me once, too. It wasn't really cuz of a gunshot, but we were in lock-down for a long time, we started to get worried.

Even I eventually started crying and praying that we'd be alright.

It was amazing how you put this together.

You did well writing the concept of that scene in the Glee episode. (Even though it was scary...)

School shootings are a very sensitive thing in many places especially in the states with a fresh wound four months ago.  The hardest thing is that protecting people from that violence is hard but to help them prevent such stuff is even harder

It was quite scary... I thought there was some shooting riot but it was not.
