“Airin~ Wait!” Rena said as she was dragged away by her friend.
“Just come!”
“Mou~ can you please just explain why you’re wearing that outfit?”
“It’s complicated, I was helping Churi out with something.” Airi said as she showed off her green elf costume. “You’ll understand soon enough! Now come on!”
“Fine~”
The two girls finally arrived at an event hall. Rena then felt her eyes become blindfolded from behind.
Churi chuckled from behind in her reindeer outfit, she and Airi taking each of Rena’s arms and leading her inside the building.
“Alright, Rena, you ready?” Airi asked as they approached a pair of large doors.
“I guess?”
The two then swung the doors open and Churi untied the blindfold in one swift motion.
“Eh..?!”
The first sight that caught Rena’s eyes was the entire gallery decorated in red, gold, silver, and green. In front of her, there also stood a giant Christmas tree, a table spread out with food, and a banner that read “Merry Christmas Rena”.
“Wh-what the..?!”
“Merry Christmas~” A large group of familiar faces smiled at Rena.
Rena saw all her old friends and fellow SKE members, along with the current members and younger generations. All of them were dressed in an array of Christmas-y outfits. They also had stuffed animals, like polar bears and penguins, held in their arms.
Some of the girls were dressed as elves like Airi, some were reindeer, and some as cute female Santas. Speaking of, Sae was decked out in a Santa Claus outfit complete with the hat and even a white beard.
“Ho ho ho~ Merry Christmas~”
“Who planned this?!” Rena asked.
“Oh, just a certain someone~” Ryouha gave a wink.
“Merry Christmas~” Rara said as she handed Rena a plate of cookies.
Rena munched on one of the cookies and chuckled when she saw her fellow first gen members.
“Y’know, I’m kinda surprised we talked you into wearing a skirt, Nishishi,” Airi chuckled.
“You guys realise how uncomfortable this is, right?”
“Well, you could’ve worn another outfit,” Masana said.
“Did I really have a choice?”
“Just be glad that outfit is gender neutral,” Mieko said before laughing.
“I’m just gonna get a drink,” Churi said, “Reindeer need something to keep them hydrated.”
However, Rena then said, “Where’s Jurina..?”
She saw a bunch of close friends, some she hadn’t seen in a long time, especially of her own generation.
But… Jurina was nowhere to be found.
“Rena~ It’s time for your present!” Sae then said as she rolled out a giant present wrapped in gold paper and a red ribbon on top.
“Wha..? A present?!”
“Tis the season, yes?”
“Go on, open it,” Airi pushed her forward, all the members now watching her in anticipation.
Rena untied the ribbon and slowly took the lid off. Once she did, the walls of the box fell over and revealed a certain someone wearing a two-piece top and skirt resembling the gold present, right down to the red ribbon wrapped around her.
And that someone was…
“J-Jurina?!”
“Merry Christmas, Rena~”
“Jurina.. what are you..?” Rena said a bit flustered as the puppy girl stepped off the platform.
“I’m your present this year!”
“M-my..”
Jurina giggled. “I planned this party just for you.”
“You did..?”
“Un! I even got everyone to join! Are you happy?”
“Oh, Jurina!” Rena hugged the little puppy, burying her face in her neck and spinning her around. “Thank you thank you thank you!”
“H-Hey, Airin… Do you have six fingers?” Churi said as her voice became slurred.
“I don’t know, but you’re drunk. And I thought you were a bird, not a reindeer? Shouldn’t you be a partridge or a pigeon?”
“Uh-oh~” Jurina said as Rena put her down. “Someone got into the liquor.”
“I should’ve been, but no~~ You guys told me I should’ve been something stereotypical!”
“Should we..?” Rena started to ask.
“Even if I did, this midget would try and eat me!”
“Let’s see where this goes...” Jurina replied to Rena’s question.
“KISS ME, CHURI!!!”
“Okay, that’s where it’s going!”
“NO! I’M NOT LETTING YOU EAT ME!!!”
“Alright, alright, time to calm down, you two,” Nishishi and Mieko then broke the two drunkards up.
“Well, now what?” Rena asked.
“Now… we party!!!” Jurina cheered.
3 hours later…Jurina laid asleep on the table, snoring softly.
“Rena-chan~... Merry Christmas, my Rena-chan…” she said with a smile, giggling in her slumber.
Rena picked up the girl in her arms. Everyone else had already left, and since it was late, of course Jurina’s body clock would tell her it was time to rest.
She blanketed the puppy in a large coat as she and her stepped outside, seeing the first snowflakes of Christmas falling down from the sky. She felt Jurina snuggle up against her for warmth, still peacefully in her dreamland.
“You’re just too precious for this Earth,” Rena giggled as she planted a kiss on the girl’s forehead.
"Rena-chan.. so warm~..." Jurina mumbled, a smile curving her lips. "I love you Rena-chan..."
"I love you too," Rena whispered, seeing Jurina's smile grow as she did.
She walked all the way back to her hotel and laid Jurina on the spare hotel bed beside hers. Seeing the girl’s cute sleeping face, she decided she wasn’t gonna let her be alone and got under the covers with her.
“Merry Christmas.. my cute little present.” Rena petted her head.
