Introducing Little Baboo.  One thing I love about this woman's style is it is really aggressive and confident.  She was one of the first dancers that I could always pick out among a group of others because of her aggressive dancehall vibe.  She's one of the shorter dancers that's well known in Japan, but that hasn't stopped her from entering into top tournaments all over Japan and Jamaica.  Although I can't verify this, she might be cutting down on her dancing nowadays since I honestly can't recall any performance from her since late last year until now (yet, I see her make appearances at most of the big competitions, just not as a featured dancer). At least, if she is semi-retired, I have garnered a large collection of her dancing work on DVD

Introducing Meme.  This dancer I had seen briefly dancing among a crowd of other dancers and was always intrigued by her look.  But I hadn't really had a chance to see her dance unobstructed until recently.  Truth be told, I had originally planned on putting up a different dancer for this update until I obtained a dance competition from a few years ago.  A few of my favorite dancers were included in that competition, but Meme stole the show for me.  She made it all the way to the finals of the competition, and the way she hit her vibe was really enjoyable to watch.  You could tell she was totally in her element and enjoyed every second she had in the spotlight.  She mentioned in an interview her speciality was making her booty shake and bounce. Gladly, she wasn't shy about showing off that part of her dancing arsenal.

Introducing Mickey.  I don't know much about this dancer.  In fact, to date, I have only seen/own one performance by her and her partner.  But I liked how Mickey came across in her interview and enjoyed her look as a dancer.  Not one of the better dancers (especially compared to most I've posted in this thread), but decent enough.

Introducing Jada.  I've been trying to find more DVDs that feature her, but her released performances on DVD is rather scarce (I think I own all of them so far).  She is one of the more powerful dancehall dancers (meaning, the way in which she does many of her moves requires a good deal of physical strength).  Her style comes across as effortless, and I love how she always vibes off the melody in her routines.  She is gradually becoming one of my favorite dancers nowadays.

Introducing Kyoko.  She is one of the most talented dancers to come out of Japan.  Her style is what I would describe as "artsy."  Kyoko gets very theatrical with how she puts her routines together, so I've actually never seen her do the same routine twice (big ups to her for that).  I never quite know what to expect, but whenever I see her routine mixed with several other dancers' routines, Kyoko's stands out.  Exceptionally talented, and one of the first I was introduced to ;)

Introducing Jun.  In my opinion, there is alot to admire about this dancer.  For starters, she is an above average dancer.  Her movements are generally very precise and sharp.  When she isn't involved in competitions, she is teaching dance courses for upcoming dancers. In addition to the actual dancing aspect of dancehall, she also designs her own outfits.  She use to rock the dancehall scene with a partner, but nowadays she is free to express her dancing style unrestrained on a solo level.  At 36 years old, and a mother, I think the term MILF isn't too outrageous of a label (ask yourself, how many 36 year old mothers do you know built like this!?!?!?).

but man o man, these ladies sure knows how to dance to these kind of music, so hot and sexy....  and some people thought asians can't do it rite, well, they sure showed them.  Asian women are sexy... hot diggity damn!

definitely wanna check out more of this stuff!

The laidback style you're referring to is grassroots reggae, which these dancers also dance to.  But obviously, when they dance to that style they move less aggressively and much slower.

Anyway, glad you appreciate the thread.  I got another update lined up very very soon ;)

Introducing Yumiko.  She is part of a spunky dancing duo.  I can't think of too many big dancehall reggae dancing tours that don't feature Yumiko and her partner.  Within her duo, I tend to favor Yumiko's swagger over her partner's.  I feel more personality is presented whenever she performances (although, on a technical level, she is no better than her partner).  Another thing I dig about Yumiko is her sense of style.  She looks drastically different from one performance to the next.  ENJOY!

Here is a nice capture I put together of Kiyo off one of my newest reggae dancer DVDs.  I love her thick legs and perfect abs.  :jerk:

Oh yeah, it doesn't hurt that she is also one of the best dancers out there (Japanese or otherwise).
