There's a new trailer shown as well apparently that's debuting at the Tokyo Game Show, but hopefully someone recorded it from last night.

^ I've seen a lot of comments like that but I don't understand the reasoning. I don't really know what Versus is about other than it's a seperate story and a little more action orientated. Why is it so hyped?

Just tried a bit more of Cecil's Destiny Odyssey there. Lvl 8 and fighting a Lvl 15 character in front of some rare treasure was always gonna be tricky I imagined, but it's the first time I've been properly schooled in Dissidia, and it's Sephiroth that's doing it. Sent flying back with sword slashes, crashing through walls, floors and he's dodging most of my attacks, but you know what?

I love it

I want FF Versus XIII because of the main character... and of course because of the story. The story looks for me more interesting then the story of FF XIII...
But I'll give FF XIII a try! =3 I'll import it and play it how it is etc. (first japanese FF game, yaaay!!!)

Versus supposedly has a more mature storyline and content.

and the gameplay is supposedly to be like Crisis Core/Kingdom Hearts

You may notice that the lip-sync is pretty accurate to the Japanese dialogue, however, so far as I know, the lip-synch is being redone for the Western release to more accurately follow the English dialogue. If that's the case, I don't think they'll have the Japanese dub. It might add another disc to the 360 version if true

Seems like a decent job. Gotta say, I was not surprised at all when I heard Snow's voice actor. He did the voices of Kanji for Persona 4 and Yuri for Tales Of Vesperia and always seems like a shoe in for mid 20yr old guys with a brash personality. They all sound familiar really, I just can't place it right now.

i just hope FFXIII main character is not like Vahn fromm FFXII, well Vahn is useful in battle but in story he's not very useful

It'll be my first Japanese Final Fantasy too !!!
I've been taking Japanese classes for almost 4 year now, and have been to Japan for 2 months this year, so it improved quite a lot.
There is still a lot I take a lot of time to read, but since the game is fully voiced it will help a lot. (too bad the tutorials won't be voiced hehe)

But for some things all we need is a guide!
