Michishige continued by expressing, "It is such an honor, and I am very grateful! It's all thanks to everyone who always support me. Thank you very very much!!!!" She then talked about her love for the group, "When I think back at it, my love for Morning Musume has always been strong, for 11 years, since I entered until now. In Morning Musume, there are many difficult and frustrating things, there are even times when I get lonely, but I was able to make it this far because of my love and faith in Morning Musume. This will never change."

Finally, she said, "From now on, I will work even harder. Please continue to support me."

Just remarkable. I always thought Iida Kaori would always have the longest tenure but Aichan --> Gakisan --> Sayumin have eclipsed that run by such a wide margin.

She's the anchor. Hope she's there for as long as possible...

Michishige revealed that she had been sneezing during an event the day before. "I went to see a doctor, and I am taking medicine, so I am okay," she said.

After the event, she wrote on her blog, "I'm not getting better, so I'm flustered. Not only do I have a headache, but I also have a sore throat and runny nose..." She continued, "My throat and nose weren't that bad in the morning, but they got worse during the event."

The three artists have been leading the J-POP scene and attracting attention from fans overseas. They will host the ceremony utilizing each of their distinct qualities.

The first line-up of performing artists include Berryz Kobo, E-girls, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and Miura Daichi. More details on the live acts, as well as guest celebrities and ticket purchases will be revealed at a later date. The awards ceremony will live stream via MTV at 6:00 pm on the event day, and will also receive streaming via VMAJ's official website.

This year, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, who took home two awards last year, has been nominated for 'Best Pop Video', 'Best Album of the Year', and 'Best Karaoke Song'. The complete list of categories and nominees can be seen below.

The winners will be chosen by totaling the amount of votes and number of views for the videos. Voting will take place until May 28 through VMAJ's official website.
