Just watched Miss Universe 2007 and Japan won.
Brazil was 1st runner up.

It was such a shock! I wasn't even expecting her to make it to the top 10. I was really expecting Brazil to win!

I didn't even know that they still held this pageant.

Was just flipping through the channels and managed to catch the final 10 minutes of it. Japan AND Korea were in the final 5! Asians represent!!!

I was gonna watch, but then didn't feel like it. lol I went through some of the pics and didn't think any of them looked that good. The only one I remember liking was Miss Angola.

I also didnt find many of them looking that good. I liked Vanessa Minnillo more than most of the contestants

I think she deserved to win out of all the people there though.
Wow. She's 5'9". That's two inches taller than me. Heh, I'm probably the height of the average Japanese guy.

I actually give a little w00t when I saw it on the news

I've always seen Japan come close but never actually win it. She's quite pretty too, although I've never seen any of the other contestants so I can't say if it was the right decision. Although I did see Miss America fall on her ass

lol I don't know, quite a few of them looked pretty hot to me. Didn't watch it either though. I'm not really interested in watching this kind of stuff.

Looks aren't the only thing that's judged in these things so I can't really make an actual opinion on it since I didn't see it. I did hear about miss USA falling on her ass though

It's actually kinda surprising hearing about an Asian person winning.

Nice to see A Japanese person winning these competitions. Aren't them pretty much dominated by South-Americans in recent years?

The Finnish candidate was kinda sore loser stating that results were "fixed"

LMAO! It finally happened. Somebody actually fell. Whenever i watch pageants i anticipate someone falling but it never happens. She's a trooper though, got right back up kept her smile on. I feel sorry for her though because she's gonna be remembered as the one who busted her @$$! Congrats to Japan!
