Well the Microsoft conference was very underwhelming. Even Mass Effect was just showing some lame voice command stuff (do you even need kinect for that? Why not just use a headset, i'm sure it would be more accurate) and what was with Shepard and Mordin's voices? Gears looked like decent fun as usual. Also Minecraft kinect?

Thankfully they showed Skyrim on Gametrailers tv afterwards. Summoning lightning storms, Mammoths, Giants, Dragons, Dragons picking up Giants! GOTY! They also showed Arkham City which looked great too. Not sure how I feel about playing as Catwoman though. I mean nothing against Catwoman but I would rather be Batman all day every day thank you very much.

Perfect  XD

Wow. WOW. I have a huge hard on after watching that Skyrim footage. Fucking awesome.

Microsoft was indeed underwhelming. Mostly Kinect which, you know you have to pimp, seeing as the number of games released for it has been grinded to a halt since release but none of the stuff I've seen looks like it would make me buy one. Also, the horrible actors on stage doing the Kinect demos. *sigh*

Watched the EA press conference in the IRC and the stand out game was Mass Effect 3 for sure. Sadly, SSX and the KOTOR MMO was all CGI trailers. The KOTOR MMO is perhaps more disappointing considering they did the same thing last year. No Shadows of the Damned being shown either. And the Battlefield 3 demo went on a tad too long I felt.

Halo 4? A new trilogy? I shouldn't really be surprised but man that's depressing.

nooooooo they got to him with the motion control bullshit. :'[

Sony's conference wasn't a whole lot better than Microsoft's overall. PSVita, despite the dumb name DO WANT. I can't believe it's out this year and only 250 smackers. I thought next year and 300+ low end. It will be worth it just for Hot Shots golf, Super Star Dust and the mini-games people will make for Little Big planet which looked amazing. I just want that big OLED sexiness.

Oh yea one thing that annoyed the heck out of me was how every damn trailer had the "PWAYSTATION" and "SONY Make Believe" flash screens afterward. I mean do we really need to see that 20 dang times!? Also the 3D crap. Protip: Hardly anybody cares. Stop wasting development resources on it in any way. I tried MLB The Show with the ridiculous battery pack glasses on a 65 inch TV and it barely worked and just plain looked terrible in 3D. I won't even mention the Move stuff they had at the conference (lolz) They also only showed Journey for a split second. >:\

If I hadn't bought a 3DS already I would of gotten a Vita since they cost the same, haha.

But it does look cool, hopefully 3DS has some good news tomorrow, it's suffering from wii syndrome already, great hardware but lack of actual games!

2011. Let's play War of the Vowels! XD

Makes you wonder how Nintendo, probably with a trusted group of 3 year-old consultants, come up with such nice and fun names.
While Sony, probably with a circle of hooded priests praying around a blue electronic fire, get the most boring word fallen from the videogame gods.

The Nintendo press conference mentioned a series of live orchestral concerts and a CD as part of the Zelda 25th. Does anybody know where I can find more info on this? Namely which cities are going to have performances and how I can get a hold of this CD when it comes out.

I only heard about this through the Giant Bombcast but when Kaz Harai announced that 3G support for the PS Vita was going to be done with AT&T there was a collective groan from the audience

Some more note worthy games I've seen:

Ninja Gaiden 3 - So this one has QTE's? Ok fine I can deal with that. But QTE's for every enemy you fight? Nah uh!

Anarchy Reigns - Platinum Games are probably one of the finest developers this gen with impressive games like Vanquish and Bayonetta. This one is the first time they've done any kind of multiplayer and it looks like fun! Like a multiplayer God Hand if you can imagine

Asuras Wrath - Looks over the top and kinda crazy. Count me in

Deus Ex : Human Revolution - One of the games I'm looking forward to most this year. Looking good

I haven't laughed as much as I have done in a while after listening to Giant Bomb's E3 podcasts. In particular, having Mega64 and John Vignocchi was just hilarious with the stories they told. And also talking about the SW Kinect demo and Jeff's own inside scoop on the developers reaction to the poor demo presentation

Some more highlights:

A Game Of Thrones : Genesis - Perhaps unsurprisingly, a game based off the popular TV show. Looks shit though

Resident Evil Revelations - The RE Western developed game. Now with added Jill Valentine! :o

Dark Souls - The spiritual successor to Demon's Souls. Looks twice as epic and twice as hard!

Far Cry 3 - Probably the only real surprise game announcement of E3, this looks pretty satisfying. The antagonist seems to be well acted and realised. Definately got this one on my radar.

Uncharted 3 - Without a doubt, this will be a strong contender for GOTY. And with good reason. God I wish I had a PS3.

It's coming up to that time of year again. E3 2012 is due June 5-7 at the LA Convention Centre. What currently announced games are you looking forward to seeing more of this year? But better yet, what games or announcements do you wish would be announced? For me right now I definately want to see more of:

- Wii U
- Assassins Creed 3
- GTA V
- Resident Evil 6
- Dishonored
- Tomb Raider
- Metal Gear Rising : Revengeance

And my wishlist:

- Microsoft and Sony's next gen console (Doubtful for this year, more likely for next, but some rumours at least would be handy)
- Shenmue 3 (a Shenmue 1 release for XBLA shall suffice)
- Kingdom Hearts 3
- Bayonetta 2
- Final Fantasy Versus XIII

Yeah, I'm curious about the new consoles. Also hoping they'll preview an expansion for Skyrim.

Trying to not get my hopes up too sky high, but in a perfect world there would be:

-Wii U games and more info (Super Mario World 3, New Mario RPG, Zelda, Metroid, Retro Studios game etc)
-New Playstation and Xbox

-Half Life 3 *single tear*
-Metal Gear Solid 5
-Metal Gear Solid Rising
-Bioshock Infinite
-GTAV (I know Rockstar doesn't go to e3 but maybe one of the big conferences will have something)
-Shenmue HD *single tear*
-Doom 4
-God of War: Ascension
-Halo 4
-Assassins Creed III
-Tomb Raider
-Last of us
-Resident Evil 6
-Hitman Absolution
-Dead or Alive 5
-Skyrim expansion
-Whatever Respawn Entertainment has been working on

Kind of given up on Versus XIII and The Last Guardian
