yeah but promoting sub units allows them to promote even when not everyone is available, increasing the brand. at least that's what i think.

Hmm.. I might be a bit late on this one since a few have already discussed this earlier. Just throwing my opinion out for the sub units. I don't think it would be a good idea since we have always since SNSD as.. well SNSD since 07-08. Breaking them off into smaller units only decrease the brand association with SNSD making them quite weaker. Which is why I was never a big fan of the whole G.D & TOP, Seungri, etc. I mean I've never really watched a drama just for Yuri or just for Jessica. Not looking forward to it but I could be wrong. 

Totes agreein here.  I never actually considered sub units for SNSD cuz me thinks they are the best tagether.  Maybe that's because I'm lovestruck? ~~
But like you said, this could be pretty good in the end.  Regardless of the power, I can't wait to see them promoting again

Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun

2nd group:
Yuri,Jessica, Yoona...

3rd group:
Sooyoung, Sunny, Hyoyeon...

Sooyoung do have a good voice for singing as well... so each of the group will have one lead vocalist...

im not in favour of any snsd sub group. 

they're no longer snsd when they're separated. it will then be something of individual rather than a group
 i mean, i personally dont really see GD and Top as big bang as a whole anymore. its weird. :/

anyway. I wonder what will SNSD be like in 3-5 years time. when all of them are grown women surely they're no longer 少女/So Nyuh by then..

Coming from a H!P fandom, .... Yeah I've seen a few subgroups They're not so bad. Although, if they're going to be singing ballads I'm juzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.............

Subgroups, if anything, would make it more interesting. I know hardcore SONEs would probably bash on me for saying it. In my opinion though, supporting SNSD would be supporting their members in general, and just because they aren't together when releasing a song, doesn't make it any less awesome to me and deter my spaziness in any way.

its seriously damn funny,obvious and not surprising how after the perv thread sections have been removed by the admin, SUDDENLY every single thread for snsd SUDDENLY became frequently active with users you dont even know existed. im guessing they're the ones looking through the threads without a single post or account, and now, doing logical postings/replies/entries just to get into the pervs section!

The thing about sub-groups that would sadden me most is that the 9 girls might not got together as a whole to perform/record music as SNSD again due to possible contract violations. Of course they could work it out in a way that they could still do that but I still worry. Some of the members may not want this lifestyle anymore. Its got to be a very taxing and stressful life even though its probably rewarding and satisfying. They are getting older and I wouldn't be surprised if some or even all of them would love to settle down and get married/have children someday soon. I also wouldn't be surprised if some would like to transition to movies/tv shows as some have already done so but in the future they might like to make it permanent. As a group they have attained enough success to essentially do whatever they want once their individual contracts are up. On the flip side, they have attained so much success and fame that maybe assimilating back into regular society might be too challenging. After all, in the present they can't travel alone.. they would get overrun with fans and such. They need unmarked vans, body guards, etc. Fame comes at such a heavy cost. We are lucky to have them while we can. Nothing lasts forever. Whatever they do, best of luck
