It seems SM knows what they are doing, to me is better than releasing a full album with ten songs, actually, this means the girls will bring us the second album in 2010~

I like the idea haha. That way, the girls could get more sales since Gee is quite quite popular between all ages:

I finally converted a friend from school so I have a fangirling buddy

. All we do during lunch: blast Gee and annoy our non-asian friends lol...

I totally had a feeling either a mini-album or a single would come out. It seemed a bit much for them to release a full length album if they already released a mini one. But yes, hopefully 2010, we'll have a second full length album (holy shit, grad year...).

My thoughts again on the WGM pairing:

This whole thing with Don-Don makes me wonder how big the "wota" factor is in Korea and how they translate into sales. Don-Don has found his schtick as being a "spoiler" for the other couples and I just don't see how it makes sense to stick him with another female, let alone Taeyeon.

The only sense I can make out of this choice in casting is trying to increase SNSD's popularity with the older (30+) Korean demographic. Obviously pairing Taeyeon with a middle-aged chauvinist slob

would appeal to the wota-equivalents in Korea. And I guess it would expose Taeyeon to the middle-aged housewife demographic, who probably eat the show up. Not to mention it'd make Taeyeon more sympathetic to those housewives, as they can relate to putting up with Don-Don types at one point in their life or another.

I hope it's more like a student-teacher relationship, where Don-Don is the past failure in love trying to learn from his mistakes, and Taeyeon operates as a Cupid who tries to get him to better himself and get with someone new and treat her right. I think if Don-Don tries to make any moves on her it's just going to make the entire show look bad and exploitative.

But one thing to keep in mind with Korean TV show production is that they are VERY receptive to feedback from viewers. TV dramas adjust their scripts and variety shows often fit their concepts to match trends or the prevailing opinion of the masses. If there's enough negative press or hostility from netizens regarding a romantic coupling of the two, they won't go there in the end.

^That's true. Korea really is all about the latest trends unless someone steps out the circle and creates the new trend. But either way, I doubt this will stay a couple given the circumstances. I think this is just a way to help revive WGM and give promotions to SNSD in another market. I don't think SNSD has to worry about the 30+ demographic since they always say they have young oppa fans and older "oppa" fans. The only demographic they would need to advertise to is the older (may 30+) Korean females.

I swear, Crystal (Krystal?) looks more like Yuri than her own sister heehee. So she was casted in 2005 and Jess was casted in 2000? Their age gap is... WHOA, she's my sister's age?!...And there's a girl who's my age?!

Except for her and Yejin (who was in lots of predebut pics with our girls which could means she was trained to be in SNSD, but anyways, she was in A.Mi.Go MV!), I've never seen the others. But what happened to Hwanhee? I thought she was cute. Not super pretty but cute. And I heard she was a great singer. I was expecting her to debut with the next girl group. And Hajin really left SM, didn't she?

I'm not sure though if they should debut another girl group this year. So many new groups debuting and the old groups are still going strong. I'm afraid they will have to compete within SM family. But, yay, Krystal <3

ps. there are 6 names already.

So, Yuri and Fany are gonna be on that quiz show in which I already forgot the name. Fany was paired up with Kim Heungguk and Yuri with Yu Seyun.
Also, there was a rumour yesterday that the girls are gonna be on that 2PM show.

Damn unni, I didn't know you knew so much about SM or the Korean ent. Anyway, I agree... but what about Seobaby? Is she a triplet or is she the YoonYul love child? (I refuse to call her the Yulsic love child because she looks nothing like Jess. You could say Krystal is, since she looks somewhat like Jessica before she got bangs...forehead matches xD but then that would be wrong...incest).

Eh, I'm greedy. More girl groups! But I do get that debuting another group would be hectic, but you know SM, it's like they debut someone new regularly. So regardless of it being sensible or not, they'll do it anyway and SOMEHOW make it work. oh that show. I've seen a couple episodes before with WG and when they did that WGM-like dating thing. It was pretty hilarious, but it was mostly cause those Suju and host guys on it were pretty funny. Don't know anything about 2PM so we'll see. I'm expecting lots of cute moments though!
