Hehe no problem, youre welcome XD I do it because i want more people to know and <3 SNSD~

Mmm this video didn't take me too long, I can't give a good estimate because I stopped and did other stuff a lot. This was probably one of the easier projects I've done...But like WinWin with the Wonder Girls, that episode took me around 7ish hours x_X

On the 10th, Korean 9-membered “beautiful legs” group SNSD announced their full-blown Japanese advancement.  They plan to hold their first concert in since arriving in Japan on August 25th at the Tokyo Ariake Coliseum, which holds 10,000 people. In September, they plan to release their Japanese debut single. SNSD follows other performers like 4 Minute and KARA which have also came to Japan this year, more and more star performers are appearing.

In August 2007, SNSD debuted in Korea with Yoona, Sooyoung, Yuri, Seohyun, Jessica, Taeyeon, Sunny, Hyoyeon and Tiffany which formed the 9 member group. In March 2009 they created a record on KBS Music Bank with 9 consecutive wins with their song “Gee”. They’re the top group in the “Korean Girl Pop” scene and have done commercials for cellphones, drinks, sports brands, etc . and have commercial contracts with 15 companies. Their influence also spreads throughout Asia, they’ve received first place on various music charts in Thailand and the Philippines and have gone to places like China for their Asia Tour.

Their greatest attraction is their ability to synchronize their dancing with one another. Fans are fascinated with their costumes and legs. They’re popularity can already be seen in large CD shops in the K-POP section.  With both their popularity and true ability we can see signs of a BOOM for their Japanese debut and the music staff has high expectations.

So far, the songs’ music video with special editing has been announced and bonus footage has been recorded. Their first DVD temporarily called, “SNSD Arrival ~ First Time in Japan Commemoration Disc” will be on sale on August 11th. On August 25th 10,000 people who purchase the DVD will receive an invitation to the Showcase Concert in Ariake Coliseum to debut to Japanese fans.

Translator Note: In Japan the girls are going to be known as "Shoujo Jidai" written as 少女時代. We will still abbreviate as SNSD to avoid confusion ^^

:0 August 25th Concert I wonder if that is a full concert or just small free one. Considering you only need to buy the DVD to get in, unless I'm just confused and that dvd thing is for something else I guess wait and see.

On the 10th, Popular Korean idol group SNSD announced their summer Japanese debut.  On August 11th seven of their hit music videos will be released on a DVD temporarily called “SNSD Arrival ~ First Time in Japan Commemoration Disc”, and on the 25th at the Tokyo Ariake Coliseum, about 10,000 fans will be invited for a great debut event.  Asia’s number one girl group is going to make a suitable, brilliant and magnificent start.

A whirlwind of girl groups from Korea are blowing in, but among them the overwhelmingly popular SNSD finally heads to Japan.

In addition to their cute looks, they also have great legs. Debuting in 2007 with an abundance of different personalities, wide range of men and women began to like them as they became popular and they had a big break.  Last year they released “Gee” and on KBS’s music program they created a new record with 9 consecutive wins, they also received first place on charts in Thailand and the Philippines and they took home the end-of-the-year awards.  This year they also had consecutive hits with “Oh!” and “Run Devil Run” keeping up their advancement.

Last year, Universal Music’s staff saw the girls’ music videos and were shocked at quality of the songs and videos. At the same time they noticed their Korean accomplishments and immediately started a contract negotiation. Several record companies competed with one another, and in May a contract was decided (with Universal Music).

A universal staff explained this about the group, “The 9 members emphasized their beautiful legs, showed us matching uniforms and not only that have a synchronized dance. I’ve heard their music many times, the songs are toxic.” The staff also gave high praise, “They’re noble and refined, as females I’m attracted to them, as artists I’m also charmed by them.”

You can feel how great their appeal is, and the DVD has been decided as their first step into Japan. On August 11th the DVD “SNSD’s Arrival” will be released and will feature 7 hit music videos and bonus footage. In September their single will be released (Currently, they’re working on choosing a song) and they will carry out their official debut.

Asia’s number 1 girl group is preparing for a suitable debut. On August 25th at the Ariake Coliseum, 10,000 fans are invited to see their first Japanese performance. This is the greatest debut from any Korean artist coming to Japan.  Although there’s a high expectation forming (for SNSD), Japan’s leading girl groups like AKB48 and Morning Musume are also a threat (to them).

Taeyeon (21) sends a message about their long-cherished Japan debut, “I’m very nervous, my heart is racing. I’m really happy for this blessing.  We’re preparing with all our might, so please look forward to us.”

Man, all that stuff reminds me that after the GG sweaters, TMYW definitely has the best concept. :yep:

lol I like how the articles are worded so bombastic.  When they say 'choosing a song' they better mean a new one. =_=

Man, I still love H!P and all, but calling MM a leading girl group is a bit of a stretch.
(I mean, they've got talent potential to rival Kpop groups here and there, but rarely the full package of dancing, singing, AND personality. They're also held back by their weakest links when it comes to performance, and despite having the talent potential it's NEVER fully realized. For pete's sake, how come the only real dance solos in H!P evar have been Saki's in 2006 and Goto Maki's? WTF, choreographers! HIGH-KING and the Takahashi/Saki/Eri group in the recent shuffle concert have been absolutely WASTED in terms of dancing. The only dances in recent memory that could compare to Kpop level would be Tokkaiko, Namida no Iro, Munasawagi Scarlet, and maybe SYO/NR? (Of which NR is epic fail because barely any of the girls can pull of that ballet pose unlike SNSD so it just looks stupid.)

AKB48 and Perfume are definitely threats though. Especially in light of the lack of Bikinishidae, AKB48's got waaaaaaaaaaay more of an advantage over them.

Of course, most of SNSD's performance advantage goes away if they never get the opportunity to show that stuff off. I remember that my Minegishi fandom shot through the roof when I saw her routine on Music Fighter way back when, and right now End Roll is my fucking jam and the dance there is pretty epic. But seriously, have you even seen Arashi do a routine as difficult as SNSD's Dream Concert Intro?  [/ramble]

- same stuff, but from The Korea Times:

Korean girl group Girls' Generation is finally making their official debut in Japan.

The group's agency SM Entertainment announced Friday that the nine members were leaving their local fans for the time being to "start a new journey."

``The girls are planning to introduce themselves to Japanese fans through a showcase held at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan, on Aug. 25,'' the agency said through a press release.

The venue can house more than 10,000 people, and the agency added that the girls were preparing an exciting show for not only Japanese fans, but also the Japanese press, music labels and agencies.

Along with the showcase, the group will also release a debut single with Nayutawave Records, a branch of Universal Music. The label works with numerous top Japanese artists including Kiseki and Greeen. Girls' Generation is the only Korean artist on the label.

``Thanks to the group's high popularity in Asia, the band has been receiving numerous requests from Japanese music labels. We hope the band and Nayutawave Records will create synergy in making the girls become the hottest issue in the J-pop industry this year,'' the agency added.

With specific plans set out, Japanese fans will get to watch Girls' Generation starting in August with the showcase and the release of a single in September. The agency said they will fly back and forth for both local and Japanese events for the time being.

The group's first DVD, which contains clips and music videos, will also be released on Aug. 11.

Meanwhile, local fans can get a taste of Japan and the girls beforehand with a special photo book in stores right now. The photos, taken in Tokyo, show a more personal side of the girls, away from the shiny spotlight and makeup, as themselves. It comes with a special DVD that shows clips of the girls taking the photos and walking along the streets of busy Tokyo.

Will they captivate Japanese fans?

The band's decision to move to Japan comes a bit late, compared to other girl groups including Kara, T-ara and 4Minute, who all either released albums or held shows and fan meetings in Japan already.

Local singers performing and releasing an album in Japan started in the mid 2000s. Starting with BoA, some of the hottest artists and bands such as Rain, Se7en and TVXQ moved to Japan and created a firm fan base for K-pop music.

News that Girls' Generation signed a deal with one of the top music labels in Japan is a good sign, as the music industry there is dominated by bigger labels and agencies compared to the smaller ones here.

Making their debut in 2007, the Girls Generation shot to stardom as one of the newest and most recognizable groups during the time. Having nine members helped them gain recognition, but it was eventually their songs, dance moves and the overall package that enabled them to become one of Korea's most popular acts.

Whether or not their charm will work in Japan is still up for question, as Japan is certainly a tough crowd with already a number of idol bands dominating the eyes and ears of its public.

No other K-pop girl band managed to captivate the Japanese public yet, and it seems both the local and Japanese fans will keep a close watch on their first official journey to the neighboring country, with plenty of competition from Korea alone.

OSHIT!! do I smell JPH!P WORLD TOUR TOKYO 2010 :D 10,000 fans is fucking amazing, really hope they can get more Girl Group Wars going. That Music Japan special a while back with AKB48 and MM was like, is this what it boils down to man? lol

Fuck, that'd be hilarious if Ume was there to greet them.

It'd be so awesome if they hadn't edit them so much that they're looking so unhuman.

No news yet. That shitty organiser won't tell us anything when we want it but have their shitty PR releasing uncertain news fast just to change it the next day. Here I'm hoping the concert will happen late this year or even early next year, I can wait. But it'd better have a new organiser.

Ume said she'd go to the showcase for sure, so expect her there. :D
