Haha.....glad everyone liked the birthday story. And more on the birthday thing, because Sayu is awesome and told us what she gave Ai for her birthday.

A really really short fluffy story.

Written while I had a headache, so no promises about quality...~_~ Enjoy!

Cupcakes"Kame! Time to wake up~" An insistent voice poked incessantly against the slumbering aura of one drowsy turtle, who was currently sprawled all over in a chair and nodding off quite ostentatiously.
"Nnngh...5 more minutes..." Eri mumbled, shifting to curl up into herself.
"Gaki-san! That won't work. Let me try." A pause. "Eririn! The staff just brought in a plate of umeboshi! Wake up before Junjun eats it all!"
"Bbbrughwha?" A stream of gibberish erupted from the turtle, who nearly fell off her chair in her haste to wake up. A still groggy Eri peered around shortsightedly, trying to figure out what just happened.
Risa giggled at the sight, even as Sayumi flashed a triumphant peace sign. Eri just stared at them, not registering anything as her brain rebooted, flashing the word 'umeboshi' repeatedly as it started up again.
"Where?" Eri mumbled, looking around frantically. Risa just laughed again, poking Eri's cheek.
"Sleepyhead, it's almost time for rehearsal!" Eri glanced at the clock. "Already?" She pouted, already beginning to whine as Sayu planted herself next to her best friend.
"Yeah..." One glance around the room produced some notable absentees. Risa absently picked a lint off Eri's shoulder as she asked, looking at Sayumi.
"Have you seen Ai-chan yet?" The narcissist shook her head in reply. Risa looked up again, noting where everyone was.
Reina was chumming around with Aika off to one side, and judging from the chocolate smear on the corner of the young 8th gen member's mouth, the two were on a chocolate trip again. For someone who keeps wanting to watch her weight, Risa knew that Reina's one weakness was sweets, chocolate in particular. Ah well, the girl was stick thin to begin with, so it probably didn't hurt that much.
Junjun had just wandered in, nibbling absently on a piece of bread with a far off look in her eye. Linlin was nowhere in sight. Risa knew that Koharu was working off excess energy on the emergency stairs towards the back, and would be back any time now.
However, their errant leader was nowhere in view. Risa hadn't been particularly early herself, and so had missed seeing Ai in the locker room earlier. She figured that their leader was already there, given that her bag was in the room, but of the person herself there was no sign.
"Probably off talking to one of the senseis again..." Risa mumbled half to herself. Sayu had engaged a now awake Eri in conversation, and the two were practically joined at the hip, their usual practice.
Shrugging, Risa wandered over to Reina and Aika, the older of the two currently gesturing and talking about something in her usual animated way, and Aika just lounging in her chair, although she did appear to be paying attention.
Risa was about to tune in to their conversation when a familiar voice said an even more familiar name.
"Ai-chan!" Sayu's voice was shocked, and Risa turned around to stare at the entrance. Behind her, Reina peered around her subleader, and Aika tilted her head backwards to stare upside down. Junjun, for her part, continued chewing quite calmly.
Silence, as the girls gaped at their tiny leader. The only sound was the scraping of the fabric on fabric when Aika decided that all the blood rushing to her head was probably unhealthy and decided to shift to a more comfortable position.
"Uso! Did you just get out of bed?" Risa was the first to exclaim. Aika shook her head, trying to settle the dizzy feeling. "But she doesn't have bed head..." The youngest of the group observed, crossing her eyes briefly in a fair imitation of Reina, who noticed immediately and smacked the her cheeky junior playfully for it.
"Hi everyone, is there something wrong?" Ai greeted quite calmly, as if nothing had happened. She did fidget a bit though, under the stares of her fellow members. "What? What is it?"
"Why did you wear pajamas to rehearsal?" Reina, as usual, got straight to the point. Ai blinked, staring around at all the other girls, who were also dressed casually.
"But I'm not..." Reina snorted and waved a hand around dismissively.
"Leader, it's
definitely pajamas, no matter how you look at it." The yankii cocked her head to one side, wonky eye rolling around. "And since when did you wear something this cute to sleep?"
Ignoring that for the moment, Ai walked over to where the other two Rokkies were sitting together. Eri was still at a mild loss for what to comment on about the shirt that Ai was sporting, only managing to blurt out a "it's cute..." as her leader came close.
Smiling at the still stunned Sayu, Ai grinned, doing a little twirl for the little devil of Morning Musume.
"See, Sayu, I'm wearing it!" The 22 year old leader's grin was very much like one that was half her age, seeking approval and brimming with a kind of childish delight.
Sayumi, who had been shocked to silence by this turn of events, burst out giggling and impulsively hugged Ai, squeezing the tiny leader tightly in her arms.
"Seriously...Ai-chan...you're the best..." Sayu laughed as she released her senpai. Ai grinned a bit more tentatively, almost like a little puppy (or monkey, whatever).
"Of course, it's Sayu's present, I wanted you to see that I liked it." The leader's eyes were still lit with that infectious smile. "Thank you."
"No, thank
you." Sayu smiled warmly at Ai as she linked arms with the older, heading for rehearsal. Ai looked questioningly up at her, but Sayu just shook her head and smiled even more widely.
Thank you for being such a wonderful leader, Ai-chan.====================================================
Title is because the shirt Ai-chan is wearing has cupcake prints on it. XDDDDDDDDDD
Okie sleeping now. Tired. Hope y'all like it.
