Try Wolf. He's my current favorite.

Yeah he's also one of my favorites.  I don't like the shots fired from his gun though.   (I love his talking voice :P)

Brawl has such a great soundtrack. I would buy it if they came out with a cd.

I know a lot of people who really like Wolf. I still don't know who my favorite is, I often use more than half of the roster regularly

^I love the soundtrack too. You can actually dl a huge torrent of every track ripped streight from the game disc. That's what I did :P

And this guy has the names and original game of each song on his blog.

My favorite track is Stickerbrush Symphony from DK Country 2

The one I hate is the waterfall one, everyone is too busy trying to get up, and fighting becomes the 2nd priority.

I enjoy kicking the people out of the shelter, especially when it's right before the lava goes over. XD

Also a trick I noticed is if you hang off the ledge the moment it goes over you won't die.

I hate Waterfall too. Apparently once you unlock all the stages you can exclude it from the random rotation. I'll have to get around to doing that.

I forgot to mention how much I love Wolf's up taunt - it's behind only Pikachu's "Pika! Pika!".

just got the game yesterday. I've only unlocked a couple characters so far...

I actually like using Captain Olimar. Maybe it's just my attachment with the Pikmin game, but I think he's pretty sweet.

hm...with the stages, I guess I wouldn't really be able to tell because I only played Final D on Melee, but I feel that a lot of the stages on Brawl have an unnecessary focus on things other than fighting (e.g. playing the mini-game in the WarioWare level and the before-mentioned lava one where you have to hide in the capsule thing).

Most of the time, the stage is the actual killer. Not the other 3 brawlers.
But I think that adds the charm to the game. Otherwise, it would be like street fighter... :stoned:

I think what makes a popular great game is the idea that the game can conform to you just as much as you conform to it.  That's what makes this game so popular: the fact that you can play it any way you want.  The sheer number of things to do and fiddle with is just staggering.

If you don't like how random some aspects of the game are, you can tune it to play as seriously as you want by turning off tricky stages and items and even making it HP based rather than % damage.  Conversely, you can make it as wacky as you want, by making insane custom stages and having stuff like a mega-metal-curry-slow-low gravity match with excessive items.  Heck, you can even have a heck of a time just playing by yourself or even co-op.

This game is so good it's downright vexing.  I've probably spent way too much time on it instead of preparing for finals this week!

SSBB uses a 12-digit code rather than the 16-digit Wii code. Mine is 1676-3425-9330.

yeah I didn't know that xD then I'll have to wait till tommorow, my SSBB will arrive then (or latest the next day)

can't wait to play it!!!

Finally got to play this week. Love Snake and Pit. I haven't gotten Toon Link yet but thats okay for now. I was disappointed that Mewtwo had been removed even though I never used him but Lucario is an excellent replacement.

Man I suck at getting the smash ball for some reason. Damn Ness always gets to it before me. I'm trudging through SSE slowly since I'm not too fond of it.

Yeah I know what you mean.  I think they did a good job of making it long. I just wanted to get through it so that I could get Toon Link

It depends on who you're playing. I can get the Smash Ball 90% of the time with Lucario. With Gannandorf though there's just no chance.

I'm sure that they're intentions were to give us a solo mode that didn't last a short while like the adventure mode from melee but in the end SSE just feels like despite they're good intentions they missed the mark by some. I still appreciate the effort however.

I finally finished SSE in about 7 hours thanks to my roommate guiding me through it. There was no way I could have done it on my own, I didn't pay enough attention while playing to remember which way is I had to go. The FMVs were enyoable. We got a bunch of good laughs out them, like ZS Samus' boobs entering a room before she does, Snake's scenes were cool, and the Final Fantasy like scene towards the end as well.

Mostly my problem is that I always hit just enough that the next person only has to lightly hit it to get it.

Now that I've got every character I realized just how much I didn't know/didn't remember (especially since I dont own Melee because everone I know has it).  I've always played as Link for about 85% of the time, if not I would alternate Fox and Samus in as well. But I guess thanks to playing as everyone for classic mode I see how Peach is actually pretty good.

I still have Link as my main but I alternate much much more frequently with Snake, Lucario and ZSS.

I've only got Toon Link's final smash trophy.  I've just been so lazy at attempting the all-star mode because completing classic with everyone has tired me out
