There's this Kpop article with an interview from Tiffany and there was this bit:

"But Tiffany is only a few years away from the end of her contract with S.M., at which point she'd like to parlay her training and experience into a career as a singer or actress in the States."

I think the quote about her contract is somewhat generic.....and I am not sure the writer truly knows the facts.

They refer to her "parents" moving to Korea. Tiffany's mother died in a car wreck when she was 13, and I haven't heard anywhere that her father has remarried.

I recall reading a post several years ago about the contracts the girls have. All of them were based on the disbanding of Girls Generation. While I don't recall all of the details, I do remember that Tiffany was to be released when the group disbanded. It seems that Tae and Jessica were to be continued under contract for 5 years after the group breaks up.

But I've read something like her mother died of cancer when Tiffany was very young. Is there a definite source to the question?

I have never seen an "official" statement about how her mother died. However, it has been made VERY clear by the girls - including Tiffany herself - that her mom died when she was young.

The point is, the reporter is saying that her dead mother is supposed to be relocating to Korea. He also states that her contract is almost finished.

The reporter needs to grab his ear lobes and pull his head out of his a$$, as it is obvious he doesn't know what he is talking about.
