Personally, one of the biggest things that trap me when I do a prerecorded show is that I keep on rerecording my "Jock Talk" parts over and over and over again, cuz I'm never satisfied with how it sounds. I guess I always feel that it sounds too fake, and too scripted.

As far as developing things like a theme song, and crossfading tracks with your voice and stuff, Adobe Audition (formerly known as Cool Edit Pro) will be a huge asset. If you can get a hold of ProTools however, use that instead. I'll definitely help you out with anything you want to inquire about. If you want, just ask, k? Its really easy, and the more creative you get, the more fun it is!

To all the JPH!P Radio Jocks out there I just wanted to send you guys a little LOVE

I never really took the time to check this out before, but last night I was browsing The RIVE and I thought it would be nice sometime to check out Masa's show. So I kind of kept that thought in the back of my mind.

Anyway today I am in the office...it is Friday and the day seems so long and the work never ends...and I'm fading out from the long week. I thought wouldn't it be nice if I could just have some good back ground music to get me through the afternoon.

Then I remembered the JPH!P Radio show. I said I got to get this up and running. I downloaded and installed WinAmp on my Laptop and put in the URL: http://radio.jphip.com/playlist.pls into the player......

....the next thing I hear from my headset is Rika and Biyuuden, then Gocchin...Ayaya...Tanpopo...Momusu....now Kaorin is streaming into my ears!!!!

Holy shit!!! This is like the coolest idea ever...to have JPH!P Radio....OMG... Summer Night Town just started playing while I was typing this message....I am soo grateful!!!

I just want to add a little additional story to my last post. So as I mentioned I listened to HiP Radio from about 3:00pm to 6:30pm at work today. The set list that played for that time was amazing!

I was so excited I had to tell my buddy about it (we were chatting on MSN). I live in Toronto, ON Canada

(finally get to use this smiley) and he lives in Portland, OR USA. He is a good friend...have known each other for 10 years.

I have been trying to educate him in the ways of H!P for the last few months. He has always taken the position that it was just some kind of perversion that I had with young girls and he had no interest in hearing the music.

Well I was so impressed with the HiP Radio show and the streaming quality that I kept raving about it. Eventually he asked me how he could listen to it too on his computer at work. I told him to install Winamp and gave him the HiP Radio URL.

Next thing you know he is getting into it. Telling me how his wife by comparison is getting him to listen to Chinese music and that H!P stuff is not bad and he wish he could understand Japanese. He even pointed out to me that he recognized

Rika's name when her name appeared in the playlist

(she was doing a solo of Morning Coffee...he's knows about Rika because I have shown him pics).

For every artist I told him a bit about their history and their nickname.

In the end he was quite impressed. He listened for at least 2 & 1/2 hours to HiP Radio.

I think he respects my taste in music a little bit more (he basically said that) and was impressed with the variety of music in H!P.

You guys have no idea (or maybe you do for all I know) how big this is to have a close friend finally acknowledge that there might be more to H!P and your devotion than just young pretty girls...shiet...who am I kidding...all that matters is the young pretty girls...(

did I just write that?.. :ROFL )

Thanks for helping me share my apprecation of H!P music with another person out there on this lonely planet.

I have given it a lot of thought And i would most certainly like to become a dj for this radio station.
I have some experience, with audio editting and have made audio productions in the past as well.
I love japanese music but i do not have that much japanese music but also have a growing collection of world, jazz, blues, classical etc. if that would help.

Also mah~mah nihongo mo hanesemasu no de, yoroshiku onegaishimasu

Welcome aboard the train that is JPH!P Radio! I'm very curious as to what you can do, and hearing how your previous experience can assist you. Radio is very timely, and any experience you have with any kind of audio editing and public speaking will definitely be one of your biggest assets.

Have a look at the schedule, which you can find at http://radio.jphip.com/ and choose a timeslot that you'd like. Unfortunately, it hasn't been completely updated, so you may or may not get the slot you want. Just let us know first, and we'll ensure you get a timeslot that works for you.

Ayayan, welcome back to the radio. I hope your new equipment can give you the confidence you were missing the first time around. Remember that any of the current hosts are always willing to help you out if there's any questions you may have, or are seeking some advice on being on air, or whatever.

Unfortunately, I've got some bad news for you. The time slot you've requested has been reclaimed by Rei-chan's show, which had dibs on it for a while already. But you can always choose another slot, and let us know and we will get back to you.

I will be awaiting a PM from each of you, and from there we'll get things rolling! Hope to hear from you all soon!
