REINA WEEK

!

My Reina story: When I first started liking Morning Musume, I was interested in learning about all the girls, and my favorite member constantly changed, but then I got to learn more about Reina, and I instantly fell in love.

I love her yankii personality, and she's just so cute! I think the first video I saw her in was JKM, and I thought "Wow! She looks cool!" (along with thinking she has insanely bright pants

) And now she's my favorite.

My favourite thing about Reina: Everything!! But I think my favorite has got to be her smile. Not her normal smile, but her smile where she shows all her teeth and just looks really happy!

A memorable performance:

I think Reina did an awesome job at this.

Even though it was a while ago, this is still one of my favorite performances.

A moment that made me laugh:

Blunt!Reina FTMFW

A moment that surprised me:

I was happily surprised at how Reina was all director-y.

My Reina story: You've all heard me say this before, but I'm gonna say it again anyway.

When I first got into MM/H!P it was at approximately the same time that the 6th Gen joined, so keeping names matched with faces took some effort, to say the least. Reina was actually one of the first that I could actually remember thanks to her famous Wonky eye.

Another thing that was pointed out to me at the time that made her stand out was that she didn't smile in any official pics (be they solo pics or group pics). I personally found her yankii attitude/style/persona fun and cute, it was a refreshing difference from the other members.

My favourite thing about Reina: I especially love it whenever she burns and/or "sticks it" to one of the other members with a quick-witted verbal jab (like the "they're not that big" crack she threw at Sayu in the "Blunt Reina" clip posted above

).

A memorable performance: The fact that I just really, really, REALLY like this song probably has something to do with it.

A moment that made me laugh: Right now, nothing can top "Blunt Reina".

A moment that surprised me: There was an episode of H!M (can't remember the date, but I'm pretty sure it was from around 2006) where they were doing little science experiments (at least, I think that's what it was). Anyway, long story short, Reina ate a bug. Definitely a WTF moment, but at the same time, I was like "Fuck yeah! Go Reina!"

A picture that I like: Yankii squat FTMFWMF.

A video that I like: I just love the "Night Version" PV for her solo version of Memory Seishun no Hikari.

EDIT: Considering how we all know how she's more of a "cat person", I'm rather surprised at her rather tame response to the latest Pocket Morning question.

My Reina Story:

It all started when I met Sai. She was sitting in school and I sat next to her and noticed her cellphone strap. Being curious I asked who it was, so she told me all about her, and started to show me videos and pictures galore. LOL That is how I first found out about the wonky yankii. That is also the first time I learned about Morning Musume. I guess I can say,

My Reina story: When 6th Gen audition winners came out, she was actually one of the more interesting ones. And I didn't give a fuck if they threw her in group or got solo lines pretty quickly, cuz she was damn talented. Over the years, she be the more 'camera aware' ones with Eri. Think she gave me positive response at AX signings too. And always damn cute, can't wait for her cartoon series!
My favourite thing about Reina: I like her wacky attitude.
A memorable performance: doing Bigaku better than Ayaya HA!

A moment that made me laugh: Reina visiting dolphins! I thought she was better

A moment that surprised me: When she could imitate performances like a fangirl (it was during their musical performance in 6th gens first year)

My Reina story: The first time I noticed Reina was when I got the Best! Morning Musume 2 album. I thought she was cute...and I thought she looked like Mako-chan.

(Well, they're both wearing hats! lol) I never really noticed her much after that so my love for Reina is a pretty recent thing. Probably since AX when she TOTALLY WAVED AT ME at the end of the reception.

My favourite thing about Reina: I really like her personality. Like I think we could be good friends.

And I really like her laugh, it makes me feel all warm and happy inside. And one more thing: her smile~ Especially with teeth. Because the teeth make it so much cuter.

A memorable performance: Too lazy to look for it but Kanashimi Twilight from Bon Kyu Bon Kyu BOMB. If I remember correctly, Reina's voice was lower than usual and therefore sexier. I was pretty amazed at how great she sounded.

A moment that made me laugh: I could watch this over and over.

A moment that surprised me: Reina made a comment on Bijou Houdan that when the Rokkies first joined, they practiced performing in their hotel room in bras and panties. It kind of shocked me that they would do that.

Well, I'm pretty sure that it's at least the same dude singing it. If it's not that exact song, then it could be another one that he did (though that would mean that he's got really limited skills in terms of his song-writing/musicality since they sound so much alike).
