I've loved Makochan since I first saw her, she's in my top 3 along with KonKon and Rika. Other than the fact that she always got the short end of the stick I really dont get how she isn't more popular.

You know, during her grad ep of H!M, when she said that she was always the undesired girl but she always did everything energetically and honestly (or something like that) it just totally broke my heart. I really want her to come back as soon as she can

Yup me too. At least her picture is still on UFA's site so I'm having high hopes. Hopefully she finishes her studies soon and we can see genki Makoto again :yay:

I cried when Makoto said she was the undesired girl.When she said that I just wanted to hug her and tell her that she was lovely with a even lovelier character.I have never understood why Makoto was not more popular either.Although I think it is a lot to do with UFA giving her the short end of the stick.

She was always the last spot of 5th gen, but at first (till Hyokkori no Hyoutan-jima) she wasn't. I fact, if you see the 5th gen audition video, we can easily see why Tsunku picked her

... I guess Tsunku found another talents in 5th gen >__> Unfair, but that only made me realize about the craziness of da Mako and loved her MORE AND MOAR

Hmm the last spot of 5th gen. Well the way i see that (in the big picture not just specifics) was basically Makoto, Konkon and Risa who never really got all that much attention in the big picture regardless of popularity and merchandise sales. But hey this was what there management was doing at the time basically ignoreing many fanbases to push another but forgetting that all that does is upset fans which is one of the factors that contributed to why cd sales are down. But on the plus side merchandise sales are really high but the thing is they could of had both.

I was watching an old Utaban the other night and I realized that Utaban was really the only place that ever really gave her any attention. I mean sure they made fun of her but she seemed to have a great time.

I cant imagine what it must have been like to be in her shoes and basically only be made fun of constantly. I mean sure most of the girls get made fun of alot either by hosts or each other. Rika, Kaori and Yuko for instance do end up being joked about by the others or even themselves but at the same time they get the chance to shine and be praised.

Anyway, I was also watching an old H!M last night and whenever I see her I miss her more and more. I loved that she was paired up with Rika in that ep, I like how Makochan said that she sees Rika as her sister, I just love that.

I hope I made sense, my head hurts and I didnt write this post all at once. To end on a happy note, does any one else love her lips and eyes?

Me me!! I love Mako's lips and eyes.
For me, I always thought she'll rather not have the kind of attention she got on Utaban. I don't know but somehow I felt she got really hurt everytime they made fun of her like that. Not everyone can take the things they throw them like Kei can and I really admire her for it.

I love Mako's eyes...always so happy. And she has a great smile, too ^_^

I guess I see your point, the way I was seeing it was a bit different. I sort of saw it as someone actually taking the time to willingly give her attention when he could do like most others do and just talk or care about the super popular girls.

I see Makochan as someone that I would love to have as my best friend or something like that, you know. Who wouldn't want to be with the cutest cowgirl with the killer smile?

Defintely. Makoto would be a fun person to hang out with. She'll cheer you up and have loads of fun together eating and riding rollarcoasters. Probably someone in New Zealand will become her best friend without even knowing she was once an idol.

You know what I think your right. On utaban they often seem to talk to the less popular girls or the ones that they think can take a joke or a bit of teasing.
Makoto would make a good friend she such a happy fun girl.

Even if they kind of pick on her, I guess maybe they notice that every girl has fans and deserves attention.

Makoto does seem the huggable type along with Konkon.
When ever I think of makoto, the first thing that comes to mind is her wonderful sense of humour and beautiful smile. The picture that I associate with Makoto is the one of her cowsuit its so cute.

Mako not only one of the funniest members of MM, but I always thought she was really pretty and talented too. I don't know why people consider her one of the less attractive ones...
