the first girl from Hello! Project confirm about her safe via twitter
Aside from S/mileage, she's the only H!P girl who uses it.
Even then, I'm not sure S/mileage does their own tweets. They do lots of hourly tweets that are probably scripted ahead of time.
Mano-chan on the other hand, does her own tweets, (except for the ones that are automatically sent out when she updates her blog)
so it's unsurprising she was the first to be heard from.
So with that, here's some of her tweets from right after the earthquake:
Is everyone all right?
The phones are out so I can't call my family (/ _ ; )
It feels like I'm being smothered by fear and anxiety.
Even though we can't do anything against the power of nature,
at times like this calling out to each other will help ease everyone's anxiety a little bit
...in any case I'm praying for everybody's safety.
That night she had trouble sleeping, probably because of her worries about her family and the continuing aftershocks:
Mano Erina tweeted at 2:00AM:
Even though it's so late, even though I went to sleep, I woke after about an hour.
All of my worries came through in my dreams, in my dreams it was the same situation...
For a moment, I wondered if it was all really a dream and I hoped that it was... over and over.
Everyone, let's do our best to stay calm. If you feel like you can't breathe, take a deep breath.
Luckily her worries were soon eased a bit:
Mano Erina tweeted at 3:30AM:
Just now I finally received messages saying my family and relatives are safe.
When I finally see them, this is the first time I think I'll ever cry so hard in front of my parents.
Everyone, it's okay to hit me with your worries too. No one should have to hold it in all alone.
To everyone

It’s now the morning after the earthquake.
I am okay.
I was late in reporting it on my blog
I’m sorry…
The aftershocks keep going,
but is everyone okay?
I am intensely watching
the news streaming from TV.
It’s like being smothered by this situation that’s beyond any imagination…
Maybe it’s difficult,
but please call out to the people around you,
so that anxiety will be calmed even a little bit.
In any case,
I am praying that
there isn’t any expansion of the damage,
and that many people have as much safety as possible.
Since then, she's only had a couple more blog posts but has continued tweeting.
Everybody together.
Since the earthquake 1 week has passed
During this past week, time seemed to flow slowly and quickly at the same time.
It's a strange feeling.
When I watch the news on TV and they show
the state of the disaster area and the status of the Fukushima nuclear plant,
my eyes can't look away.
The day after the earthquake I was able to return home,
but I had to come back to Tokyo for work the day after that.
Kikkawa Yuu-chan was also in Tokyo for work,
so we spent a few days together.
Since we're trying to save power due to the electricity shortage,
all of us do things like gather in one room,
and turn off the lights and go to sleep early.
Because there isn't as much food being sold in Tokyo,
we've been cooperating to cook and eat the things in the refrigerator first.
Please excuse me for saying it but...
even though there's blackouts
please refrain from hording more than you need...
I and everyone in my family
are conserving electricity and not taking more than we need. [not 100% sure sbout these last couple sentences]
I think that in this kind of situation there's uneasiness,
but cooperation with family members, relatives, and friends is important now.
So that things can be restored a little sooner
So that everyone's can smile again a little sooner
So that those in the disaster areas can survive
The people of not just Japan but the whole world
are giving their support.
So even though there are rolling blackouts in Kanto,
let's all do our best together (。・∀・。)ノ
edit: the mm-bbs translation was put up right after I posted this. If you want to check it out:
http://blog.mm-bbs.org/mano-erina/7526The most recent post seems to be a couple sentences that are automatically-posted when someone buys this avatar/portrait-badge thing to donate to the disaster victims:
Seen on her own portrait:
Other than that, the lack of recent blog posts since then is probably because she's trying to conserve electricity and supplies.
